    Identity construction of the main character in the novel “Mashatun” by Hani As-Salmi: An Analysis of Gramsci's Hegemony theory

    This research aims to determine how the forms of Israeli power hegemony psychologically impact the Palestinian people, as represented through the main character in Hani As-Salmi's novel "Mashatun." Hegemony and its impacts cause the construction of a person's identity, influenced by oneself and their social life. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The primary data source is the narration and dialogue in Hani As-Salmi's novel "Mashatun." Meanwhile, secondary data sources consist of books and articles relevant to the researcher's objectives and topic. The data collection technique in this research is the note-taking technique, with data analysis using Miles and Huberman's method, which comprises three analysis techniques: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate three forms of power hegemony, namely authoritarian, capitalism, and consensus, totaling 6 data points. Additionally, the impact of power hegemony on the main character is shown in 9 data points, representing forms of in-group and out-group attitudes or personalities. Furthermore, 4 data points demonstrate character changes in the main character. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the forms of Zionist Israeli power hegemony create a psychological impact on the main character. Consequently, power hegemony becomes one of the factors in the formation of the main character's personality or identity construction, built from a series of events or experiences

    Business plan for non-formal education services

    Business plan design skills are essential competency for entrepreneurs, as a well-crafted business plan helps stakeholders easily understand and trust the proposed document. This study aims to describe business planning analysis from four key perspectives: (1) marketing, (2) operations, (3) human resources, and (4) finance, and focusing on the case of Gama Private Center, a non-formal educational institution. This study used qualitative case study approach. The findings reveal that Gama Private Center employs a structured business plan that includes: (1) a marketing strategy informed by market research and a marketing mix; (2) human resource planning encompassing recruitment processes, training, and compensation schemes; (3) operational strategies focusing on customer proximity, engaging learning methods, and user-friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); and (4) financial planning, including initial capital calculation, funding identification, cash flow forecasting, and financial feasibility analysis. The study contributes theoretically by advancing the understanding of business planning concepts in non-formal education, emphasizing market analysis, consumer segmentation, and operational strategies for success. Practically, it provides actionable insights for non-formal education entrepreneurs, including consumer-centered marketing strategies, human resource development, and structured business planning to enhance competitiveness and sustainability. Future research is recommended to explore the scalability of these strategies across diverse educational context

    Free nutritious meals; Does it Impact student learning motivation?

    Education has an important role in the development of the younger generation. One of the factors that affect the quality of education is student learning motivation. This study aims to examine the influence of free nutritious food on students' learning motivation. This study uses the literature review method to collect and analyze various relevant previous studies. In this study, an analysis was carried out on the relationship between nutritious food intake and the level of student learning motivation at various levels of Basic Education. The results of the study show that providing nutritious food can increase students' concentration, energy, and endurance so that it has a positive effect on their motivation in learning. Students who receive free nutritiousmeals tend to be more engaged in learning activities, have better attention and are better prepared for academic challenges. In addition, nutritious food also plays a role in improving students' physical and mental health which greatly supports their cognitive development. In conclusion, the provision of free nutritious meals has a significant impact on students' motivation to learn, which ultimately has the potential to improve their learning outcomes. Therefore, the policy of nutritious feeding can be considered as a strategy to support increased student learning motivation and create a healthier and more productive learning environment

    Ensemble combination of CNN for MRI-based brain tumor classification

    Classifying 17 types of brain tumors remains a major challenge in the medical field, especially in improving diagnostic accuracy and accelerating patient care. This study proposes a CNN-based model with an ensemble combination approach to improve accuracy by integrating multiple architectures through Majority Voting and Weighted Average for more reliable predictions. The models are evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results show that CNN3 with Nadam achieves the best performance (accuracy: 0.90–0.91), outperforming CNN1 (0.87–0.89) and CNN2 (0.82–0.87). The ensemble combination improves accuracy across all models, with CNN3 achieving the highest accuracy (0.96), followed by CNN1 (0.94–0.95) and CNN2 (0.91–0.92). This study demonstrates that the ensemble combination approach can improve the performance of brain tumor classification using deep learning, contributing to faster and more accurate medical diagnosis. Furthermore, these findings open up opportunities for further research in advancing brain tumor detection systems

    The impact of smart academic community readiness and IoT on university performance: Moderation factors of information and technology service management

    Introduction. The concept of a smart university has become increasingly vital due to rapid technological advancements, evolving societal demands, and the digital transformation reshaping education. This study aims to investigate the impact of academic community readiness (ACR), the application of Internet of Things (IoT), and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) on improving university performance. Additionally, the study explores whether ITSM moderates the relationship between ACR, IoT implementation, and university performance. Materials and methods. This research employed a quantitative, correlational approach, with data analyzed using the SmartPLS 3.2.9 program in two steps: analyzing the outer and inner models. The study was conducted at several Islamic colleges in Indonesia, involving 382 randomly selected respondents from three institutions. Data collection was performed using a Google Form distributed via social media platforms such as WhatsApp, email, and Telegram. Results. The findings indicate that ACR, IoT, and ITSM significantly influence university performance in the context of transitioning to a smart university. ITSM was also found to moderate the relationship between ACR, IoT, and university performance. The direct influence of ACR on university performance was 0.330 (P-value = 0.000 < 0.05), while the influence of IoT was 0.154 (P-value = 0.006 < 0.05). ITSM directly influenced university performance with a value of 0.239 (P-value = 0.000 < 0.05). Furthermore, ITSM moderated the relationship between ACR and university performance (P-value = 0.039 < 0.05) and between IoT and university performance (P-value = 0.019 < 0.05). Conclusion. The transition to a smart university is crucial for aligning higher education with modern technological advancements, fostering global competitiveness, and addressing the changing needs of students and industries. This study demonstrates that academic community readiness, IoT implementation, and ITSM are key drivers of university performance in this context. By integrating these elements, universities can deliver flexible, high-quality, and sustainable education, equipping students to navigate the challenges of the 21st century effectively

    This study aims to analyze the utilization of the Al-Maany Online Dictionary as an effective alternative in translating Arabic texts among students at IAIN Madura. The Al-Maany Dictionary, a popular online resource, offers various features that support the translation process from Arabic to Indonesian or other languages. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method involving students from the Arabic Language Education program at IAIN Madura. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show that the use of the Al-Maany Dictionary enhances students' understanding of the meanings of words and phrases in Arabic texts, although some challenges related to its features and translation accuracy were found. Nevertheless, the utilization of this dictionary proves to be an effective tool in the translation process, especially for students who are less familiar with the Arabic language. This study is expected to contribute to the development of Arabic language teaching methods in higher education, particularly in leveraging information technology to improve the translation skills of students

    Buku "Ajaran Islam Bukan dari Al-Qur’an: Masa Depan Studi dan Pelaksanaan Wakaf di Indonesia" mengajak kita untuk merenungkan dua dimensi penting dalam kajian Islam, yaitu sumber ajaran Islam dan aplikasi praktisnya dalam konteks wakaf di Indonesia. Frasa "Ajaran Islam Bukan dari Al-Qur’an" tidak dimaksudkan untuk merendahkan kedudukan al-Qur’an sebagai kitab suci, tetapi lebih sebagai sebuah penekanan bahwa ajaran Islam juga terwujud dalam praktik, tradisi, dan ijtihad yang berkembang di Masyarakat, namun tetap berbasis pada nilai-nilai dasar ajaran al-Qur’an. Dalam konteks ini, kita perlu memahami bahwa meskipun Al-Qur’an menjadi sumber utama hukum dan moralitas dalam Islam, interpretasi dan penerapan ajaran tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh konteks sosial, budaya, dan pemikiran para ulama. Wakaf, sebagai salah satu bentuk amal jariyah, berkaitan erat dengan aspek sosial dan ekonomi umat. Praktik wakaf tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Allah, tetapi juga sebagai mekanisme untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Di Indonesia, wakaf telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan sosial umat Islam, tetapi pelaksanaannya menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Hal ini menunjukkan perlunya kajian yang lebih dalam dan komprehensif mengenai wakaf dalam konteks hukum Islam yang berlaku di Indonesia. Dengan memahami makna judul ini, kita diharapkan dapat membuka diskusi tentang relevansi dan urgensi studi wakaf, baik dari perspektif fiqh maupun dari segi manajerial, guna memastikan bahwa wakaf dapat berfungsi secara optimal sebagai instrumen pemberdayaan umat. Melalui buku ini, kita akan mengeksplorasi bagaimana prinsip-prinsip wakaf dapat diintegrasikan dengan regulasi modern yang tertuang dalam Kompilasi Hukum Islam, serta tantangan dan peluang yang ada dalam pelaksanaannya di Indonesia
