La alfarería de mujeres en La Solana (La Mancha): El último centro alfarero femenino recogido en la bibliografía sobre alfarería española
Get PDFThe author applied in 1997 to the research grant competition organized by the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real for the project "Ethnographic Study of Pottery in the Province of Ciudad Real." Based on the results of this study, the Library of Manchegan Authors published the book "Los Barreros. Pottery in the Province of Ciudad Real" (2001). This research had two fundamental objectives: first, to refute the hypothesis of some experts who speak of a provincial pottery shortage, and second, to fill the gap in provincial monographs that already existed in almost all Spanish provinces. Without a doubt, the most interesting of the "discovered" pottery centers in the province was La Solana, where two unique ethnographic phenomena converge: it was the last female center recorded in the literature on Spanish pottery, and its primitive clay-working technique, as the artisan wove the pieces on a work surface, using coils of clay, rotating them around the vessel she was making. Female pottery centers using this technique are virtually nonexistent in European pottery, although they are found on other continents, especially Africa. The pieces made by these women display a complete archaism, with incised and impressed decoration applied to the soft clay with their hands: with fingernails, pads, and the phalanges of their fingers. Among the products produced were jars, which the men distributed throughout the province. This center became extinct in the 1970s.Quien subscribe el texto, concurrió en 1997 a la convocatoria de becas de investigación convocadas por la Diputación de Ciudad Real con el proyecto “Estudio Etnográfico de la Alfarería en la provincia de Ciudad Real”. Siendo elegido. Con los resultados de dicho estudio, la Biblioteca de Autores Manchegos, publicó el libro Los Barreros. Alfarería en la provincia de Ciudad Real (2001). Dicha investigación tenía dos objetivos fundamentales, primero, desmentir la hipótesis de algunos expertos que hablan de la pobreza alfarera provincial y, en segundo lugar, rellenar el hueco de monografías provinciales ya existente en casi todas las provincias españolas. Sin duda el centro alfarero más interesante de “los descubiertos” en la provincia fue La Solana, donde concurren dos fenómenos etnográficos singulares: ser el último centro femenino recogido en la bibliografía sobre alfarería española, y por la primitiva técnica de trabajar el barro, pues la artesana urdía las piezas sobre una base de trabajo, con rollos de barro, girando en torno al recipiente que fabricaba, no encontrando prácticamente bibliografía sobre centros alfareros femeninos que laboren por dicha técnica en todo el territorio europeo y si en otros continentes, en especial África. Las piezas fabricadas por estas mujeres muestran un total arcaísmo, con sus características formas carenadas, con decoración incisa e impresa, aplicada sobre el barro tierno con las manos: con las uñas, yemas y las falanges de los dedos flexionadas. Destacaban entre los productos fabricados, tinajas, que los hombres distribuían por toda la provincia. Dicho centro se extinguió en los años 70 del siglo XX
Transformative Education as a Catalyst for Socio-Ecological Sustainable Change

Worst yet: they are exacerbated by the maintenance of unsustainable industrial practices, political inertia and economic structures that prioritize short-term capital gains over the long-term survival of our planet. As a result, we are currently living through an era marked by unprecedented environmental crises: climate change, loss of biodiversity, air pollution, deforestation, sea level rises, etc., which only work towards furthering social-economic inequities. In this context, there has been an increasing call by certain sectors of society – like scholars, activists, community organizations, Indigenous peoples, and concerned citizens – to urgently reevaluate the ways in which we strive for sustainability.No século XXI, as injustiças socio-ecológicas continuam a persistir. Pior ainda: são agravadas pela manutenção de práticas industriais insustentáveis, pela inércia política e por estruturas económicas que dão prioridade aos ganhos de capital a curto prazo em detrimento da sobrevivência a longo prazo do nosso planeta. Como resultado, vivemos atualmente uma época marcada por crises ambientais sem precedentes: alterações climáticas, perda de biodiversidade, poluição atmosférica, desflorestação, subida do nível do mar, etc., que apenas contribuem para aumentar as desigualdades socioeconómicas. Navigating uncertainty: How geopolitical events reshape trend following strategies in financial markets

This study explores how professionals in trading and portfolio management adapt their trend following strategies in response to crises such as pandemics, armed conflicts, trade disputes, and economic sanctions. Based on qualitative interviews with sixteen market experts, the findings reveal how volatility, liquidity, and market sentiment interact under geopolitical stress. The paper discusses the limitations of standard technical models and highlights the need for agile, experience-driven decision-making when facing uncertainty. El Impacto de la inteligencia emocional y la satisfacción laboral: En la mitigación del agotamiento profesional en el sector de la salud
Get PDFThe healthcare sector, with its high demands and crucial responsibilities, exposes professionals to an increased risk of burnout. This phenomenon, characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a decrease in personal accomplishment, affects not only the well-being of healthcare workers but also the quality of care provided to patients. In this context, emotional intelligence (EI) and job satisfaction play essential roles in mitigating the effects of burnout and strengthening healthcare professionals’engagement.Emotional intelligence, by allowing better emotional regulation and interpersonal interactions, helps professionals cope with the daily challenges of the sector. Job satisfaction, as a mediator, enhances the positive impact of EI by reducing the effects of stress and burnout on professional engagement. These relationships were explored in the present study, conducted with 181 healthcare professionals in a hospital setting, adopting a positivist and hypothesis-driven approach using structural equation modeling (PLS). The results of this study revealed a direct impact of emotional intelligence on healthcare professionals’burnout, with job satisfaction playing a key role in moderating this effect. These findings highlight the importance of implementing policies that promote the development of emotional intelligence and create work environments conducive to satisfaction, in order to reduce burnout and strengthen healthcare professionals’commitment to their institution.
El sector de la salud, con sus altas exigencias y responsabilidades cruciales, expone a los profesionales a un riesgo elevado de agotamiento profesional (burnout). Este fenómeno, caracterizado por agotamiento emocional, despersonalización y disminución del sentido de realización personal, afecta no solo el bienestar de los profesionales de la salud, sino también la calidad de la atención brindada a los pacientes. En este contexto, la inteligencia emocional (IE) y la satisfacción laboral juegan roles fundamentales para mitigar los efectos del agotamiento y fortalecer el compromiso de los profesionales de la salud.La inteligencia emocional, al permitir una mejor gestión de las emociones y las interacciones interpersonales, ayuda a los profesionales a enfrentar los desafíos diarios del sector. La satisfacción laboral, como mediadora, refuerza el impacto positivo de la IE al reducir los efectos del estrés y del agotamiento en el compromiso de los profesionales. Estas relaciones fueron exploradas en el presente estudio, realizado con 181 profesionales de la salud en un entorno hospitalario, adoptando un enfoque positivista e hipotético-deductivo con la metodología de ecuaciones estructurales (PLS). Los resultados de este estudio revelaron un impacto directo de la inteligencia emocional en el agotamiento de los profesionales de la salud, con la satisfacción laboral desempeñando un papel clave para moderar este efecto. Estas conclusiones destacan la importancia de implementar políticas que fomenten el desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional y creen entornos laborales propicios para la satisfacción, con el fin de reducir el agotamiento y fortalecer el compromiso de los profesionales de la salud con su institución
Réussir le management par la qualité dans le secteur public: Cas d’un hôpital à Tétouan
Get PDFThe primary aim of our study is to assess the impact of New Public Management on service quality in public hospitals from the perspective of healthcare professionals. To achieve this, we adopted an exploratory approach, using an interview guide specifically designed for healthcare professionals at a public hospital in Tetouan. The findings of our study provide valuable insights for successfully implementing New Public Management practices in Moroccan public hospitals. In particular, it is essential to consider ongoing training and support for human resources, as well as organizational culture, citizen participation, and the ability of public institutions to adapt to change.L’objectif principal de notre travail est d’analyser l’impact du Nouveau Management Public sur la qualité des services dans les hôpitaux publics, du point de vue des professionnels de santé. Pour cela, nous avons opté pour une approche exploratoire dans notre recherche, en utilisant un guide d’entretien conçu spécifiquement pour les professionnels de santé d’un hôpital public à Tétouan. Les résultats de notre étude fournissent des orientations précieuses pour réussir la mise en œuvre des pratiques du Nouveau Management Public dans les hôpitaux publics marocains. En particulier, il est crucial de prendre en compte la formation continue et l’accompagnement des ressources humaines, ainsi que la culture organisationnelle, la participation citoyenne et la capacité des organisations publiques à s’adapter aux changements

The Systematic Literature Review was used as a methodological path, characterizing qualitative research, in which the results pointed to the need for school practices based on neuroscientific knowledge, considering that the brain is the agent of learning, making its visibility in educational contexts important.Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar a relação entre a Neurociência Cognitiva e a Educação, buscando identificar as contribuições, limites e desafios da neurociência cognitiva aos processos de ensino de estudantes do Ensino Fundamental I. Climate change denial as a catalyst for transformative education
Get PDFClimate change denial in the face of overwhelming contradictory evidence has left many young people confused and anxious. This paper argues that transformative education is a way to enable students to counter the obfuscation of denial by combining understanding of climate change with activities demonstrating possibilities for reducing or reversing its damaging impact. Three examples of transformative education reveal the sense of empowerment students gain as learners-cum-activists on climate-related issues. Teacher education programs and teachers’ professional learning communities are likely to contribute to further advances in transformative education.A negação das alterações climáticas face a provas contraditórias esmagadoras tem deixado muitos jovens confusos e ansiosos. Este documento defende que a educação transformadora é uma forma de permitir que os estudantes contrariem a ofuscação da negação, combinando a compreensão das alterações climáticas com atividades que demonstrem as possibilidades de reduzir ou inverter o seu impacto negativo. Três exemplos de educação transformadora revelam o sentido de capacitação que os alunos adquirem enquanto aprendizes e ativistas em questões relacionadas com o clima. Os programas de formação de professores e as comunidades de aprendizagem profissional dos professores são suscetíveis de contribuir para novos avanços na educação transformadora
Algoritmos Evolutivos y su relación con las Ciencias Contables
Get PDFThe field of accounting sciences faces a constantly changing environment, characterized by new regulations, technological advances and economic fluctuations. This demands innovative solutions to maintain the integrity and relevance of accounting practices. The study seeks to analyze the relationship between evolutionary algorithms and accounting sciences, explores their potential for optimizing processes, improving decision-making and facing the challenges of the current accounting environment. A comprehensive review of the academic literature on evolutionary algorithms and their application in accounting, auditing and financial management was conducted. Databases such as JSTOR, Google Scholar, Latindex, Redalyc, Dialnet and Scopus were consulted. In addition, practical cases were analyzed to observe the implementation and results of these algorithms in real scenarios. Main results: Evolutionary algorithms demonstrate great potential in accounting sciences, particularly in decision optimization, fraud detection and risk management. Their ability to analyze large volumes of data, identify patterns, and adapt to changing conditions makes them relevant tools. It is concluded that the implementation of evolutionary algorithms in accounting sciences presents challenges, such as the complexity of the data and the need for specialized training. However, ongoing training, research, and technological integration are crucial to overcoming these obstacles and taking full advantage of the benefits of this technology.El campo de las ciencias contables se enfrenta a un entorno en constante cambio, caracterizado por nuevas normativas, avances tecnológicos y fluctuaciones económicas. Esto exige soluciones innovadoras para mantener la integridad y la relevancia de las prácticas contables. El estudio busca analizar la relación entre los algoritmos evolutivos y las ciencias contables, explora su potencial para la optimización procesos, mejoramiento de la toma de decisiones y afrontamiento de los desafíos del entorno contable actual. Se realizó una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura académica sobre algoritmos evolutivos y su aplicación en contabilidad, auditoría y gestión financiera. Se consultaron bases de datos como JSTOR, Google Scholar, Latindex, Redalyc, Dialnet y Scopus. Además, se analizaron casos prácticos para observar la implementación y los resultados de estos algoritmos en escenarios reales. Principales resultados: Los algoritmos evolutivos demuestran un gran potencial en las ciencias contables, particularmente en la optimización de decisiones, la detección de fraudes y la gestión de riesgos. Su capacidad para el análisis de grandes volúmenes de datos, identificación de patrones y adaptación a condiciones cambiantes los convierte en herramientas relevantes. Se concluye que la implementación de algoritmos evolutivos en las ciencias contables presenta desafíos, como la complejidad de los datos y la necesidad de capacitación especializada. Sin embargo, la formación continua, investigación e integración tecnológica son cruciales para la superación de estos obstáculos y el aprovechamiento al máximo de los beneficios en esta tecnología

Due to the significant correlation between population health and economic performance, health is increasingly recognized as a catalyst for growth, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Health expenditures, in particular, can play a key role in determining health outcomes and, by extension, contribute to economic growth. Therefore, this literature review focuses on the impact of health expenditures on economic growth, examining existing research to provide a basis for future studies.La création de richesse économique est un objectif central du système capitaliste moderne, et divers moyens peuvent être explorés pour stimuler cette création. En raison de la corrélation significative entre la santé de la population et la performance économique, la santé s’impose de plus en plus en tant que catalyseur de la croissance, surtout après la pandémie de Covid-19. Ici, les dépenses de santé, en particulier, peuvent jouer un rôle clé dans la détermination de l’état de santé et peuvent, par extension, contribuer à la croissance économique.
