    Study of the role of Yogo teacher in the mental and physical health issues and challenges solving of the student : Through the "health study of the Mind and Body “of A high school

    新学習指導要領(平成30年3月告示)において,科目保健に「精神疾患の予防と回復」の内容が位置付けられた.本研究では,A高等学校1年の2クラスを対象に,令和4年度から実施されている本単元の授業実践を通し,精神保健教育に養護教諭が関わることによる効果や今後の課題について検討を行った. アンケートの結果,授業前に比べ授業実践後(授業直後と授業1カ月後)は,精神疾患への理解,援助希求,援助行動の意思のいずれも高まりが見られた.各授業の感想では,精神疾患が身近な病気である事や,早期症状に気付くこと,周囲の人の存在や環境づくりの大切さを記載している生徒が多く,自身が悩んだ経験を振り返る生徒も見られた.「精神疾患の予防と回復」の単元に養護教諭が関わることにより,事前の生活習慣の実態把握を活かした指導内容や,気になる友人への声かけの演習など養護教諭の専門性を活かした授業実践を行うことができ,生徒の精神疾患に対する理解や,疾病の予防,早期発見·早期治療に対する意識を高めることが示唆された.この学習効果を長期的に維持し高めるためにも指導内容の精選や,学習活動の工夫を行うとともに,授業前後における養護教諭の専門性を活かした個別指導,健康相談活動など教育活動全体における継続的な精神保健教育を行うことが重要であると考えられる.departmental bulletin pape

    Syllable Counting in L2 by Japanese English Learners through Spoken and Written English Words

    This study aimed to examine whether native Japanese speakers can identify the number of syllables in English words, ranging from one to five syllables, in written or spoken form. A total of 189 paired data sets from syllable-counting tasks were analyzed to examine differences and correlations in accuracy and in the values reported by participants between spoken and written words. The results showed that participants gave significantly more correct responses to spoken English words than to written words, although a positive correlation was observed between the two modalities. Additionally, the accuracy of responses decreased as the number of syllables in the English words increased, regardless of whether they were presented through pronunciation or spelling. This suggests that native Japanese speakers did not use mora units to identify English syllables, but instead depended on the phonetic saliency of the words and their internal L2 system.departmental bulletin pape

    This paper reports on a study on the Learner Autonomy Questionnaire (Shimo, 2008). The 18-item model to which Japanese high school students (N = 478) responded did not fit the model hypothesized by Shimo when tested using confirmatory factor analysis as the method. Following this, a new and abbreviated eight-item model was arrived at through a posteriori analysis (including the use of modification indexes). This was executed by examining the fit of the two subscales (the Orientation Toward Improving Learning Environment scale and the Orientation Toward Reflective Learning scale) first. These were then recombined in a correlated two-scale model with further minor adjustments then made. The final model, which fit the data very well (a posteriori), was abbreviated but rescued the theoretical structure of the original model offered by Shimo. Implications for abbreviation, evidence for validity and further research are discussed.本研究では、日本の高校生(N = 478) を対象に学習者オートノミー質問紙(Shimo, 2008)を実施し、心理測定学における妥当性を検証することを目的とした。事前分析として18 項目のモデルで確証的因子分析を用いて検証したところ、Shimo(2008) が仮定したモデルに適合しなかった。そこで、事後分析(修正指数の利用を含む)により、新たに8 項目のモデルを導き出した。まず2 つの下位尺度(学習環境改善志向尺度と反省的学習志向尺度)の適合性を検討した。次に、これらを相関のある2つの尺度モデルにまとめ直し、さらに微調整を加えた。このモデルは簡略化されたが、Shimo(2008)が提示した本来のモデルの理論的構造は維持された。この最終モデルはデータによく適合した。本研究の結果から、本研究の結果から、今後はさらなる調査の必要性が示唆される。departmental bulletin pape

    This article examines the right to work in Spanish and Japanese labor law through a comparative analysis of legislation, case law, and doctrine. While Spanish law explicitly recognizes the right to work, Japanese courts have generally denied such right except under specific circumstances. The paper reveals the similarities and divergences of both legal systems regarding the right to work, aiming to contribute to the debate by providing a comparative perspective with Spain. The research suggests that the general non-recognition of the right to work in Japan might need reconsideration given contemporary labor market and societal changes. In case of potential legal amendments aimed to reinforce worker’s rights in Japan by recognizing the right to work, the Spanish model offers valuable insights.departmental bulletin pape

    The Distance Between Sensei and Shosei in Natsume Soseki’s “Kokoro”: A Reexamination of the “Meiji Spirit”

    This paper reexamines the “Meiji spirit” in Natsume Soseki’s Kokoro. The phrase “Meiji spirit”was written by the Sensei in his suicide note. Sensei tried to give value to the suicide note by using the phrase. This phrase reveals the conflict between the nationalism and the individualism. However, the phrase did not have a significant influence on Shosei( student). This is because the younger generation values individualism more. Also, Sensei did not want to make the suicide note public. Sensei wanted to show the suicide note only to selected people. However, Sensei’s plan went wrong. Shosei made Sensei’s suicide note public.
