Artificial intelligence tools for analyzing emotionally colored information from customer reviews in the service sector
No full textOn the Internet, you can find millions of service reviews. This information can be useful to support decision-making for both potential customers and for managing a service business It is especially important to consider the emotional tone of such reviews, because emotions can attract or repel potential customers. The article discusses the actual task of the automatic processing of customer reviews and identifying emotionally colored information in it. In this paper we provide the definition of emotions and describe the results of the analysis of their classification. Further on, we identify six main emotions from the customer reviews. As our methodological basis we use a well-known approach for accounting emotionally colored information in customer reviews. This approach made it possible to set the task of automatic analysis of customer reviews, which we applied in this paper

No full textThis article aims at analysing the financial and organizational mechanisms of the third sector, namely the non-profit organisations (NPOs) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). In addition, it focuses on the sustainable development of non-profit and non-governmental organizations. The paper shows that in order to achieve sustainable development and embark upon the path of the “green economy”, NPOs and NGOs need to apply effective financial and organisational mechanisms that would also coincide with their regional priorities and socio-economic objectives that would take into account the environmental specifics and priorities of the given region. The article draws various examples and case studies from various countries and regions around the world to prove its points and provide some guidelines for relevant stakeholders and regulators
Geography of inbound tourism and transboundary tourism-and-recreation region-building in Sweden
No full textSweden’s tourism industry stands out for its large contribution to the development of the national economy. The vast size of the country makes it possible to trace differences in incoming tourist flows from neighbouring countries. This circumstance accounts for the novelty of this study, which lies in viewing national tourism geography from the perspective of the theory of transboundary tourism-and-recreation region building. Interregional differences in the structure of incoming tourist flows help identify the country’s cross-border tourism-and-recreation regions and delineate their borders. This research employs statistical and cartographic methods. The incoming tourist flow to Sweden grew steadily until 2020. However, the Covid-19 crisis has led to a drastic reduction in the number of incoming tourists. Based on the 2019 statistics, the findings confirm the existence of a developed transboundary tourism-and-recreation mesoregion that brings together Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. The formation boasts strong tourist links. There are another five cross-border tourism-and-recreation mesoregions: Sweden-Norway-Denmark, Middle Sweden-Norway, Sweden-Norway-Finland, Middle Sweden-Finland, and South Sweden-Finland. The number of tourists visiting cross-border mesoregions indicates the degree of development of the latter
Legal regulation in the field of genetically modified organisms (GMO) turnover in Russia and foreign countries
No full textOne of the most relevant issues, which today’s society face is the use of advanced technologies in the field of GMO and GM-food. Taking a look at the world map of law we can see diverse legal regulation of GMO turnover, especially in the context of regulation and control of genomic studies and their practical application, risk assessment of uncontrollable GMO spreading and technologies of genetic editing of organisms including at the level of research planning. The comparative legal analysis of foreign regulation (including in dominant jurisdictions), provided in this article allows revealing those distinctions, determining the basic tendencies in GMO legal development and connected products with GMO components, including the matters of control with regard to GMO turnover. The analysis allowed drawing several recommendations on borrowing foreign experience for the sake of revising Russian regulation, i.e., taking regulatory measures to develop the relevant sphere of social relationships - legal acts, governmental decrees, etc. oriented towards the development of biotechnologies, raising confidence of citizens in genetics, stimulation of GMO production efficiency, and innovative development. Russia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU); therefore, the article discusses the national laws of these countries concerning GMO and contains recommendations for harmonizing the legal framework of the supranational level in the field of GMO turnover
History of Ideas Role in Implementing Modern Crises
No full textThe history of ideas is a relatively new concept, which has not only the theoretical inherent in it but also in the spirit of modernity is able to reveal its own applied potential. The article shows the role of the history of ideas in the search for answers to the crises of the modern world, which makes it possible to establish some regularities in the functioning of intellectual constructs and their social embodiment. The author examines the basic provisions of the research concepts of the adherents of the history of ideas A. Lovejoy and I. Berlin. Using the conceptual foundations of their theories, the author applies them to a deeper understanding of the specifics of such megatrends as the COVID-19 pandemic, armed conflicts and information wars. It was revealed that the specificity of the global world transforms the content of events that traditionally affect one sphere and now spread to various spheres of the nonlinear and fragile world. In conclusion, the author sums up the research results and notes the methodological possibilities of the history of ideas for further study of the logic of social processes

Major predictive risk factors for а cytokine storm in COVID-19 patients (a retrospective clinical trials)
No full textBackground: According to WHO, as of March 31, 2021, 127 877 462 confirmed cases of the new COVID-19 coronavirus infection were registered in the world, including 2 796 561 deaths (WHO Coronavirus Disease). COVID-19 is characterized by a wide range of clinical manifestations, from asymptomatic to a rapid progression to severe and extremely severe. Predictive biomarkers for the early detection of high-risk individuals have become a matter of great medical urgency. Aims: Search for the predictors of a cytokine storm in patients with COVID-19 infection and creation of a risk scale of this complication for practical applications. Methods: The study included 458 patients with confirmed COVID-19 infection with signs of viral lung lesions according to the computer tomography data. The patients were divided into 2 groups: those with a stable course of moderate severity (100 patients) and those with progressive moderate, severe and extremely severe course (358 patients). Results: It has been established that the main risk factors for the development of a cytokine storm in COVID-19 patients are the following: interleukin-6 concentration >23 pg/ ml, dynamics of the index on the NEWS scale ≥0, ferritin concentration >485 ng/ml, D-dimer concentration >2.1, C-reactive protein concentration >50 mg/l, number of lymphocytes in the bloo

No full textThe problems of overweight and obesity have been analyzed, and the main ways to solve them have been investigated, one of which is the consumption of specially designed bran bars for body weight control. Based on the recommendations of experts, it has determined that the main components characterized by a high fiber content are oat and wheat bran, flax seed meal, in particular, the proposals of specialists on their content in the target products planned for development have been analyzed. Based on these data, 9 model compositions of the mentioned components have been created, their organoleptic properties have been assessed using a specially created point scale, on the basis of which, using the weight coefficients, their complex quality indicators has been determined. No full textThis paper provides a theoretical analysis of the key factors that affect the process of making managerial decisions in business. The research objective was to reveal the palliative meaning of the impact of certain external conditions on entrepreneurship. The model of social relations of business entities is determined by their desire to meet their needs. The normativity of these relations depends on an external regulator that presumes their rationality and integrity. The state dictates "the rules of the game" and guarantees balanced social and legal opportunities for business entities. As a basic component of entrepreneurship, managerial activity depends on the collaboration of many external and internal factors. Under their impact, the abstract model of business activity faces conditions that determine the evolutionary path of a commercial organization. Permanently manifested factors form a "pattern" of managerial decisions that ensure either growth and profit or losses and financial and legal insolvency for the company. The quality of management decisions depends on how well the enterprise manages risks, resources, and uncertainty. The goal of a commercial organization is connected with the conditions of certainty and uncertainty, social utility and the overall economic good. Under such circumstances, an ideal competing market (Pareto efficiency) seems unlikely due to the fact that external and internal factors affecting the business sphere change the social relations that form them. As a result, economic, social, and legal risks increase, but the welfare of society does not, and individual economic entities bear financial and image losses
