    Web-Based Decision Support System for Best Laptop Selection Using MABAC Method

    The advancement of technology in the modern era has made devices such as laptops essential in daily life. According to a report from Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Indonesia that published in 2017, from a survey of 2,121 respondents showed that more than half percent respondent use laptop for work and study, while 34.94% use laptop for entertainment. However, selecting the right laptop often poses a challenge, especially for students in the Informatics Engineering Department at Universitas Negeri Surabaya, who frequently use outdated laptops. To address this issue, a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed, utilizing the Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) method. In this study, the MABAC method was used to select laptops based on criteria such as price, CPU, RAM, and storage. By applying the MABAC method, the DSS is believed to effectively address the issue of selecting the most suitable laptop, thereby enhancing productivity and performance. This research successfully developed a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) for selecting the best laptops using the Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) method, which simplifies the evaluation process for users. The DSS incorporates 10 criteria: price, processor, RAM, storage, storage type, screen size, graphics card, laptop weight, battery, operating system, and warranty. The MABAC calculations ranked the Asus Vivobook 14 A1400EA as the best laptop with a score of 0.15, followed by the HP 14s EP0022TU and Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3 14ITL6 with scores of 0.05, while the Dell Latitude 3420 ranked last with a score of -0.05

    Employees or employees are part the most important thing for the company. So therefore, When recruiting, it must be done carefully maximum in order to obtain quality employees, quality and according to needs. In the process recruitment of new employees, PT. Agrofarm Nusa Raya still using the manual method and not yet apply methods for decision making. A large number of prospective employees make HRD find it difficult to select prospective employees who match the criteria for acceptance in company. To overcome this problem So a Decision Support System is needed web-based by applying the Fuzzy method Analytical Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP). Criteria used for the employee recruitment process namely interviews, psychological tests, Islamic knowledge, work experience, education and certificates. Results The end of the research shows that the application Employee recruitment decision support system can be developed using the Extreme method Programming (XP). In the calculation results applying the Fuzzy AHP method obtained results that the highest score is 1,660 with the name Akbar,while the lowest value is -1.810 with the name Priest. With the existence of a Decision Support System Those who implement Fuzzy AHP will make it easier HRD work in the decision making process related to the final results of employee recruitment

    IMPLEMENTASI MEDIA MIND MAPPING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SAINS ANAK DISLEKSIA

    Abstrak   Kemampuan literasi sains sebagai kemampuan dasar untuk menambah kosakata, meningkatkan kemampuan verbal serta melatih kemampuan berpikir dan fokus peserta didik. Media mind mapping sebagai media berbasis visual mampu meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi, pamahaman serta  memperkuat ingatan anak disleksia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efektivitas media mind mapping terhadap kemampuan literasi sains anak disleksia di SMP Al-Ahmad Krian. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah enam peserta didik disleksia yang mengalami permasalahan dalam komunikasi dan pemahaman Bahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis pre-eksperimen design dalam bentuk one-group pretest posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data  berupa tes, instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes kinerja dan analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media mind mapping berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi sains anak disleksia. Hal ini berdasarkan pada hasil analisis data yang menunjukkan Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,026 lebih kecil dari nilai signifikan 0,05 (0,026<0,05) yang artinya kemampuan literasi sains pada anak disleksia mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan menjadi lebih baik setelah diterapkannya media mind mapping terhadap peserta didik disleksia di SMP Al-Ahmad Krian. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah media mind mapping  dapat membantu anak disleksia dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains. Media berbentuk visual terbukti dapat menarik perhatian, dapat meningkatkan kosa kata kata Bahasa dan pemahaman, serta meningkatkan motivasi anak disleksia dalam berkomunikasi dan menyampaikan informasi yang dimilikinya. .     Indonesia's Minister of Education and Culture determined Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Curriculum) in 2019. Computational thinking is one of the skills that supports curriculum development in science and technology. Bebras tasks can be used to practice computational thinking. The research aims to describe the computational thinking abilities of students with high and medium mathematical and logical intelligence in completing bebras tasks. The research method is qualitative descriptive. Instruments in research are logico-mathematical intelligence tests, mathematical ability tests, computational thinking tasks, and interview guides—data analysis through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusions. The subjects in the research are students in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Kediri, one student with high and medium mathematical logical intelligence. The research results show that students with high logico-mathematical intelligence can answer entirely and in detail because they always give reasons that support indicators of problem decomposition, pattern recognition, algorithmic thinking, abstraction, and generalization. Meanwhile, students with medium logico-mathematical intelligence can answer well but do not complete the problem decomposition indicator and have less understanding of questions, so there are errors in calculations on the pattern recognition indicator. Based on the research results, the researcher hopes educators introduce Bebras tasks in mathematics learning to improve computational thinking

    Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa SMP dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Matematika Open-Ended

    This study aims to describe the creative thinking ability of junior high school students in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty in solving open-ended mathematics problems. The subjects of the study were students of class VII-B at SMPN 3 Surabaya. Data was collected by examining the results of written tests based on indicators of creative thinking skills and conducting interviews. The question test is a creative thinking ability test for open-ended mathematics problems. Interviews in this study were conducted with 4 out of 30 students based on the results of the work of 30 students to explore more deeply the aspects of students’ creative thinking. Data analysis in this study used indicators of creative thinking skills, namely fluency, flexibility, and novelty. The results showed that the fluency aspect was demonstrated by 25 out of 30 students by showing various correct answers. The flexibility aspect was demonstrated by 3 out of 30 students by showing various alternative solutions, the various solutions in question mean using a combination of various concepts of mathematical material needed such as a combination of flat shape formulas with percentage comparisons, a combination of flat shape formulas with Pythagoras, and by conducting a sketch test of the shape. In terms of novelty, it was demonstrated by 1 out of 30 students by showing a diversity of answers and/or different ways of solving than the majority of students' answers in general

    Pemodelan Matematis Siswa SMP dalam Menyelesaikan Masalah SPLDV Ditinjau dari Gaya Belajar

    Mathematical models are the product of the mathematical modeling stage. One of the causes of students' errors in solving SPLDV problems is changing them to mathematical models and the variety of learning styles that students have. This qualitative descriptive research aims to describe the mathematical modeling students in solving SPLDV problems in terms of learning style. The instruments used were researchers, learning style questionnaires, mathematical modeling tasks, and interview guidelines. Mathematical modeling data is obtained through mathematical modeling tasks which are analyzed based on mathematical modeling indicators and interview results which are analyzed by reducing the data, presenting the data and drawing the resulting conclusions. The results of this research indicate that visual students' mathematical modeling in understanding problems is dominated by using pictorial illustrations. In addition, this study also shows that auditory students experience confusion at the stage of making mathematical models, the process of making mathematical models is not systematic so that it causes confusion. Meanwhile, in mathematical modeling, kinesthetic students do not carry out the checking stage again because they feel confident. Based on the research results obtained, a teacher should develop learning strategies by paying attention to a student's learning style so that students can carry out mathematical modeling according to their learning style. Teachers should also provide visual students with the habit of trying to do calculations with different strategies to strengthen their validation stage. Teachers can also provide practice exercises related to the stages of making mathematical models, so that students with auditory learning styles are more accustomed to working systematically, so that they can reduce the confusion in making mathematical models experienced by auditory students. In addition, teachers should also emphasize kinesthetic students to recheck, so that the results of the solutions obtained can be confirmed to be correct

    Analisis Trend Bibliometrik STEM dalam Pembelajaran Biologi untuk Melatihkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis

    STEM In Biology Learning (SIBL) merupakan penelitian tentang STEM pada pembelajaran biologi yang diambil dari publikasi di jurnal Scopus pada rentang tahun 2013-2023. Tujuan penelitian adalah memberikan gambaran umum tentang literatur penelitian STEM dalam pembelajaran biologi untuk melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan analisis bibliometrik dari sejumlah artikel yang digali dari web Scopus dengan kata kunci “STEM in Biology Learning” sehingga diperoleh n = 1.253 dokumen yang kemudian difilter menjadi n=82 dokumen. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis bibliometrik menggunakan software Biblioshiny dan VOSviewer dengan analisis Co-Author, Co-Occurrence, Citation, dan Co-Word. Berdasarkan analisis bibliometrik, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tren penelitian SIBL pada rentang tahun 2013-2023 adalah “Biology”, “Human”, dan “Students”. “Biology” menjadi tren topik dengan frekuensi 8 di kuartil 1 pada tahun 2016, kuartil menengah pada tahun 2020, dan kuartil 3 pada tahun 2021. “Human” menjadi tren topik kedua dengan frekuensi 8 di kuartil 1 pada tahun 2020, kuartil menengah pada tahun 2021, dan kuartil 3 pada tahun 2022. Sedangkan, “Students” menjadi tren topik ketiga dengan frekuensi 8 di kuartil 1 pada tahun 2019, kuartil menengah pada tahun 2022, dan kuartil 3 pada tahun 2023. Namun, kata kunci atau topik utama pada SIBL seperti “STEM” tidak muncul sebagai tren penelitian pada publikasi 10 tahun terakhir. Simpulannya adalah pendekatan STEM dalam pendidikan diakui secara luas dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, terutama dalam mata pelajaran sains seperti biologi. Namun, meskipun pendekatan ini semakin populer, masih terdapat gap penelitian dalam pembelajaran biologi sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut di berbagai tingkatan pendidikan

    Analisis Wacana Kritis Berita Kekerasan di Pesantren Pada Media Sosial

    Abstract   The news of the case of a Gontor student allegedly abused by a senior in 2022 has become a new bullying issue among teenagers. News in the media says that Islamic boarding schools are a safe place for children's education, which has become a false stigma and various other opinions. This research is interesting to do because the stigma and opinion appear depending on the use of words and sentences from the media in its reporting. This research is descriptive qualitative and aims to explain the phenomenon in depth related to the news of the Gontor Islamic boarding school on several social media. The analysis technique used is Vandijk's critical discourse analysis method by looking at 3 dimensions, text analysis, social cognition and social context. The results and discussion in this study are the discourse of the Islamic boarding school which has become bad due to the victim's mother Soimah expressing her feelings, what she heard and what she saw. The discourse of the Islamic boarding school on irresponsible attitudes, not being open and other dark side assumptions. Some content on social media is a form of support for the victim's mother because of the injustice and disappointment she felt so that the media succeeded in creating a stigma in society. The legal counsel acts as a pro party to the family, appearing in the media to help Soimah who is unable to accept this incident. Gontor is considered to have disappointed and lied trying to give an explanation and apologize to the media. The context of most people considers that Gontor as a famous Islamic boarding school uses their power in education because the Islamic boarding school system led by kyai has a patron-client role of society.   Keywords: Critical Discourses Analysis, Social media, islamic boarding school power relations   Pemberitaan kasus santri gontor diduga dianiaya senior pada tahun 2022 menjadi isu bullying baru di kalangan remaja. Berita di media mengatakan bahwa pondok pesantren merupakan tempat cukup aman untuk pendidikan anak menjadi stigma yang salah dan berbagai opini yang lain. Penelitian ini menarik dilakukan karena stigma dan opini tersebut muncul bergantung pada penggunaan kata dan kalimat dari media pada pemberitaannya. Penelitian ini bersifat deksriptif kualitatif bertujuan menjelaskan fenomena secara mendalam terkait pemberitaan pesantren Gontor di beberapa media sosial. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis wacana kritis milik vandijk dengan melihat 3 dimensi, analisis teks, kognisi sosial dan konteks sosial. Hasil dan pembahasan pada penelitian ini yaitu wacana pesantren yang menjadi jelek akibat dari ibu korban Soimah mengungkapkan perasaannya, apa yang dia dengar dan apa yang dia lihat. Wacana pesantren atas sikap yang tidak bertanggungjawab, tidak terbuka dan anggapan sisi gelap lainnya. Beberapa konten pada media sosial merupakan bentuk dukungan kepada ibu korban karena ketidakadilan dan kecewa yang dia rasakan sehingga media berhasil membuat suatu stigma di masyarakat. Kuasa hukum berperan sebagai pihak pro kepada keluarga banyak tampil di media untuk membantu Soimah yang tidak mampu menerima kejadian ini. Pihak gontor dianggap membuat kecewa dan berbohong mencoba memberi penjelasan dan meminta maaf kepada media.     PERAN BANK SAMPAH PITOE PADA KEBERSIHAN LINGKUNGAN DI KELURAHAN JAMBANGAN KOTA SURABAYA

    Data penimbangan sampah di Bank Sampah Pitoe pada periode bulan Mei hingga Juni 2023 dengan jumlah nasabah 26 orang mengalamai fluktuasi. Pengelolaan sampah perlu dilakukan secara komperehensif dan terintegrasi dengan aspek sosial, aspek ekonomi maupun teknis mulai dari sumber sampai ke TPA. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis peran bank sampah Pitoe pada kebersihan lingkungan di Kelurahan Jambangan Kota Surabaya.Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian ini terdapat di wilayah RW VII Kelurahan Jambangan, Kota Surabaya. jumlah populasi di Kelurahan Jambangan sebesar 11.476 jiwa. Pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling, terdiri dari Pengelola dan nasabah bank sampah Pitoe RW VII Kelurahan Jambangan Kota Surabaya yang aktif menabung dengan jumlah 100 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif persentase.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bank Sampah Pitoe berperan penting dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan di Kelurahan Jambangan dengan mengedukasi dan melibatkan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah secara mandiri. Warga berpartisipasi untuk memilah sampah rumah tangga dan menyetorkannya ke Bank Sampah, di mana sampah tersebut kemudian diproses dan didaur ulang. Sistem ini tidak hanya mengurangi volume sampah yang dibuang ke TPA. Bank Sampah Pitoe membantu menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih bersih dan sehat, serta mendorong kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pengelolaan sampah yang berkelanjutan. Program ini juga menjadi inspirasi bagi daerah lain dalam penerapan sistem bank sampah sebagai solusi bagi pengelolaan sampah perkotaan yang lebih efisien dan berkelanjutanKata Kunci : Bank Sampah Pitoe, kebersihan, lingkunga

    THE USE OF INSTAGRAM ON THE POLITICAL PREFERENCES OF NOVICE VOTERS IN THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN THE SOUTHERN TAMBUN SUB-DISTRICT

    This study aims to examine the political preferences of novice voters related to the use of Instagram in the 2024 Presidential Election in South Tambun District. The focus of this research is how the intensity of Instagram use, consistency of access, and variety of content can affect the tendency of voters to vote or not vote. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method through a survey of 100 respondents of novice voters aged 17-25 years in South Tambun District. The data in the study were collected through an online questionnaire and then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. This research was conducted based on the phenomenon that occurred in the 2024 Presidential Election, namely the high involvement of novice voters, because they accounted for 55% of the total registered voters, exceeding half of the total number of permanent voter lists. The results showed that respondents' political preferences were evenly split, with 50% of respondents tending to exercise their right to vote, while the other 50% chose not to participate in the 2024 Presidential Election. The variety of content on Instagram proved to be a major factor that can influence voters' political decisions, with 76% of respondents who use Instagram sticking to their initial choice, while 24% changed their choice after being exposed to political content. In addition, 86% of voters who initially did not intend to vote eventually decided to participate after being exposed to content on Instagram. The conclusion of this study is that Instagram plays a role in facilitating the formation and change of political preferences among first-time voters, making it an effective platform for candidates and political parties to reach young voters in the digital age.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis preferensi politik pemilih pemula terkait pemanfaatan Instagram dalam Pemilihan Presiden 2024 di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengaruh intensitas penggunaan Instagram, frekuensi akses yang konsisten, serta keragaman konten terhadap kecenderungan pemilih untuk menentukan pilihan atau abstain. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif melalui survei terhadap 100 responden pemilih pemula dengan usia 17-25 tahun di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara online, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi pada Pemilihan Presiden Tahun 2024 yakni adanya keterlibatan yang tinggi pada kalangan pemilih pemula, karena mereka menyumbang sebanyak 55% dari total pemilih terdaftar, melebihi separuh jumlah keseluruhan daftar pemilih tetap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preferensi politik responden terbagi secara seimbang, dengan 50% responden cenderung menggunakan hak pilihnya, sementara 50% lainnya memilih untuk tidak berpartisipasi pada Pemilihan Presiden Tahun 2024. Variasi konten di Instagram terbukti menjadi faktor utama yang dapat mempengaruhi keputusan politik pemilih, di mana 76% responden yang menggunakan Instagram tetap pada pilihan awal mereka, sementara 24% mengubah pilihan setelah terpapar konten politik. Selain itu, 86% dari pemilih yang awalnya tidak berniat memberikan suara akhirnya memutuskan untuk berpartisipasi setelah terpapar konten di Instagram. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Instagram berperan dalam memfasilitasi pembentukan dan perubahan preferensi politik di kalangan pemilih pemula, menjadikannya platform yang efektif bagi calon dan partai politik untuk menjangkau pemilih muda di era digital
