Penta helix model to develop ecotourism: Empowering the community for economic and ecological sustainability
Tamansari village, which is located at the foot of Mount Ijen, can be a new tourist alternative in Banywangi, East Java. The existence of the village with its potential is one of the pilot villages in the Mount Ijen area and is expected to increase sales value and be integrated with the Tourist Information Center (TIC) of Banyuwangi District Tourism. The fact that the Banyuwangi Regency Government and BCA, one of the major banks in Indonesia has collaborated in developing this Tamansari tourism village, so helix collaborates to actively provide assistance to the community has taken place in order to be able to further develop the potential of Taman Sari village. This qualitative study aims at investigating the role of collaborative stakeholders of the local governments, entrepreneurs, the academicians, the media, and the community ??in the development of Tamansari village ecotourism. The data is obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The study reveals that the development of Tamansari village ecotourism requires the involvement of five parties to accelerate its maximum development as synergizing stakeholders can lead the community to achieve the goal of developing the potential of agritourism in Tamansari village
Problematic and alternative solutions of different wangsa marriage at Balinese community in Lombok
This study aims to conduct a study of different wangsa marriage at Balinese in Lombok. This phenomenon is related to the basis of the determination of the social stratification of Hindus in Lombok and finds a solution to the problem raised. This research was designed in interpretive descriptive research using an empirical juridical study model. Data source of this study consisted of two, namely primary and secondary. The results of the study found (1) the basis for determining the social stratification of Balinese Hindus in Lombok, namely, the interpretation of erroneous religious norms, namely from catur varna become catur wangsa. Catur varna uses the basis of guna (talent) and karma (tendency) in determining social stratification. Catur wangsa using birth is the basis for determining social stratification. In this regard, the patrilineal cultural traditions of Balinese Hindu community in Lombok calculate the kinship relationship of a child following his father's lineage. (2) with regard to changes in the determination of the social stratification system, women are psychologically pressured because of injustice to treatment. (3) the alternative is that if the marriage between the tri wangsa woman and the man outside tri wangsa is the marriage process of the ngerorod model or elopement
Language phenomena of sago in irrires language
The current research was a descriptive study which aimed at exploring Irrires language in West Papua, Indonesia. The exploration was conducted to describe language and culture that correlate with sago palm as well as its processing system, especially lexicon of the nouns that correlates with Sago (traditional food from local plant in Papua) in Irrires language. The research was focused on inspecting the language form of the lexicon which influenced by Tambaraw culture phenomena. The researchers have applied Word of Structure in Morphology which constructed nouns as morphological process. The morphological process was inspected through (1) language meaning and form, (2) the wealth of the word that is owned by speakers of the language, and (3) the list of words arranged to identify the type of Sago. As the results, it is found that there are generic and specific lexicons, such as the sago lexicon, especially the classification between male sago (afes) and female sago (afai). Furthermore, sago stabbing wood (memsug), is also a specific noun which is different from (meckur) which is usually used by most farmers. Meckur is used to grow beans, sweet potatoes, bananas (meney), and sugar cane (meras). Sago also has a navel (agen-gen) which is identical to humans that has a navel
Cooperative principle implementation between teachers and students: Indonesian language teaching case
This research aimed to explain the context of learning by applying the principles of cooperation during the teaching and learning process in the classroom, and the relationship of working principles between teachers and students. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were Indonesian language teachers and students in Tampaksiring Senior High School 1. To gain data, the methods of recording, observation, and interview were applied. Data analysis was conducted with three stages of analysis, namely the stage of data collection, the stage of data verification, and the stage of drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the principle of cooperation was influenced by the context in the teaching and learning process, and was dominated by formal situations. In the principle of cooperation, the teacher and student are dominated by quantity maxim, quality maxim, relevance maxim, and manner maxim. It is concluded that by applying the principle of cooperation, especially in Indonesian learning, an atmosphere of effective and efficient teaching and learning will be built
Effect of audit committee characteristics on relationship between financial distress and income maximization actions
The study aimed at obtaining empirical evidence regarding the influence of audit committee characteristics on the relationship between financial distress and income maximitation actions. The population on the current study were companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2018. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method to get 20 companies as research samples. The data analysis technique used moderated regression analysis. The test results provide empirical evidence that high financial expertise can weaken the influence of financial distress on income maximitation actions. This study also finds empirical evidence that the frequency of meetings is not a moderating effect of financial distress on income maximitation. The third hypothesis testing shows that the independence of the audit committee is able to moderate the relationship between financial distress on income maximitation
Participation of mpur tribe community on non-formal education
The main subject matter of the present research is Mpur’s people participation in nonformal education in Kebar District, Tambrauw Regency, West Papua Province. Geographically, Kebar District is located in a hinterland of Tambrauw Regency, West Papua Province with a vast area, making it difficult to access, and to supply facilities, information, and communication needed to improve human resource by a nonformal education of Arefet Community Learning Activity Center. The purpose of the research is to find out the people's participation in nonformal education and the factors that affect it. The research used a qualitative research method with data collection techniques of direct observations in the field, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was an interactive analysis model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this research on nonformal education revealed that people's participation in nonformal education was not optimal yet in its implementation. Meant by not optimal here is related to the participatory processes performed by Mpur Tribe people in Kebar District, Tambrauw Regency, affected by such factors as facility, culture, education, occupation, income, information and communication access and geographic location
Religious moderation discourse in plurality of social harmony in Indonesia
The study of religious tolerance this century has been entering the culmination point of saturation, in which it is no longer viewed relevantly with technology 4.0 or it is generally called millennium generation. Technology development is directly proportional to social life because humans enter the digital era in which the actualization and self-existence are prioritized. Therefore, in social interaction, it often makes friction and horizontal conflict and even social media felt more concerned about. Tolerance is gradually degraded in its implementation because it is assumed that tolerance givers have a higher level (majority) than the recipient of tolerance (minority). In this case, the tolerance model needs contextual modification, namely religious moderation as a fundamental of more acceptable social interaction among citizens and netizens
Brain and learning
The brain is an important organ that directs all the actions of the body and the intervention that it has in human behavior, is fundamental for the analysis of the subject since by means of its study it can be analyzed its structure, functioning, coordination, and control. Exercises in different actions, where they link the knowledge of What is the brain?. What is learning?. And What is neuroscience? to recognize the impact they exert on the daily actions of the human being. The present work uses the bibliographic reference where the information will have sustained, which aims to define the importance of the Brain and its relationship in learning activities, through experience and knowledge. Finally, the conclusions of the work ha exposed, where technological and scientific advances have detailed with respect to the importance of the brain in the learning and teaching processes, from different sciences, understanding the importance and development of the knowledge
Sensory playful corners on stimulation of children from one to three years
Despite the growing tendency to create playful corners on the part of the MIES and the MINEDUC, in the CDI there continues to be an urgent need for change in the actions of the educators, with respect to how the subject of sensory activities is being handled in the stimulation of children in their first years of life and thus implement meaningful learning, the problem focuses on the lack of sensory playful corners in perceptual stimulation The study was applied to 20 educators of 5 care units of the modality Child Development Center (CDI) of several rural sectors of the Portoviejo canton, having as objective to determine the use of sensory playful corners in the stimulation of children from 1 to 3 years. The results of this work showed that there are no sensory playful corners and that educators lack knowledge about the importance of creating these spaces and making them available to children for their learning, reaching the conclusion that there is a need to create an innovative guide with content sessions, skills, play materials for the corners of visual, auditory, gustatory, olfactory and tactile perception
Errors of entrepreneur in Nigeria: the blue ocean strategy as panacea
Nigeria’s harsh economy has posed business planning challenges to many small and medium scale entrepreneurs. In a bid to thrive, some of these business entrepreneurs often commit errors along the path of entrepreneurship. While most errors are helpful to the business, others are harmful. The blue ocean strategy (BOS) is an up-to-the-minute approach of thoughts; a bold, recent path to winning the future. This study conceptualizes with empirical data the common errors of a number of the entrepreneur in Nigeria and highlights the BOS as a panacea. The paper identified two objectives; to determine the effect of planning error on entrepreneurs’ success in Nigeria and the effect of Blue Ocean Strategy on the Success of Entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Statistically, two research questions and hypotheses were formulated. The descriptive statistics of simple frequency count and simple percentage were used for description and analysis
