    Information technology adoption on digital marketing communication channel

    This research aimed at contributing academically related to the effort of information technology adoption particularly in digital channels of marketing communication, such as website and social media, to be optimized by Small-Medium size Enterprises (SMEs) in Bali. The main focus is on various travel agents and ticketing in small and medium scale which using the media of information technology in order to build brand awareness of their services and attracting their potential target market. Snowball sampling was used to 16 informants through the semi-structured interview as a qualitative research method. This research aims at addressing how marketers knowing and using information technology to deliver their business activities, while they tend to face a number of barriers to realize and process data from those marketing channels as an analysis supporting tools for crafting marketing campaign strategies and optimizing as a business strategic decision. Furthermore, the paradigm of society that traditional channels and digital channels of marketing communication as a different thing, which lead to the failure of the integration of marketing communication

    Effect of KWL learning method (know-want-learn) and self-assessment on student learning independence vocational high school

    The study aims at determining the effect of know-want-learn learning method and self-assessment of learning independence. The research activities were conducted in the form of quasi-experimental using 2x2 factorial design. The study population was XI grade students of all majors in Singaraja vocational middle secondary school, totaling 282 people. The sample was taken using random sampling, namely students of product service, fashion and hospitality on 124 people. Research data of learning independence scores were collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance. The analysis results showed that (a) towards the students who were given self-assessment. The learning independence of students who take learning with the KWL method were higher than students who take learning with conventional methods, (b) towards the students who were given peer assessment, learning independence of students who take learning the KWL method was no different from students who take learning with conventional methods, and (c) there was an effect of the interaction between the KWL learning method and self assessment on learning independence

    The current article aimed at knowing and understanding swadharma grihastha asrama on educating children towards Hindu families. Data collection methods were observation, library studies, and in-depth interviewed. This research was conducted in Lombok Regency. The results of this study indicated that the teachings of Hinduism for Sarasamuscaya and Nitisastra have not been optimally implemented by Hindu parents in Lombok. It can be seen from economic factors, low awareness for the importance of education. Due to the parents were not able to meet the children material needs, for example, the fulfillment of nutrition, adequate places, and learning facilities, and the use of non-formal educational institutions, for example, course and tutoring subjects

    Formative assessment as tool to improve on teaching process–learning for students

    In the Educational Unit, June 5 Garden of the city of Manta, research related to formative evaluation was carried out, to measure the learning-teaching process, the goal is to determine how the processes behave in the students. Analysis and synthesis methods were used to obtain the results that were processed and analyzed, and reference of scientific documents was consulted. The results of the surveys provide relevant information where, it is evident that teachers prefer to continue applying the old educational tools in the teaching-learning process, highlighting the results of the assessments to improve learning teaching training processes

    Work motivation and creativity on teacher ability to develop HOTS-based assessments

    This research aims to determine: (1) the effect of motivation on the ability of high school/vocational high school mathematics teachers to develop HOTS-based Assessments; (2) the effect of creativity on the ability of high school/vocational mathematics teachers to develop HOTS-based Assessments; and (3) the effect of simultaneous motivation and creativity on the ability of high school/vocational high school mathematics teachers to develop HOTS-based Assessments. This research is a survey research. The results of the data analysis showed that (1) motivation had a direct positive effect on the ability of high school/vocational mathematics teachers to develop HOTS-based Assessments with partial correlation coefficient values of 0.638 and sig.=0.000<0.05; (2) creativity has a direct positive effect on the ability of high school/vocational mathematics teachers to develop HOTS-based Assessments with a partial correlation coefficient value of 0.550 and sig.=0.000<0.05; (3) motivation and creativity simultaneously have a direct positive effect on the ability of high school/vocational high school mathematics teachers to develop HOTS-based Assessments with a value of F=239.474 (sig.= 0,000). The magnitude of the effect of simultaneous motivation and creativity on the ability of high school/vocational high school mathematics teachers to develop HOTS-based Assessments was 54.7%, while 45.3% was explained by other variables

    Capital Intensity and tax avoidance: An Indonesian case

    This study examines the relationship of capital intensity as a moderating variable to the relationship of tax avoidance in Indonesia. Here, we examined social responsibility, audit committee, the board of commissioner, proportion of commissioner board, and institutional ownership, as the parts of capital intensity in tax avoidance phenomena. We applied purposive sampling to gain data. A total sample of research were 32 banking data listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The result of the research shows that the audit committee and institutional ownership have influenced tax avoidance, while capital Intensity as the moderation variable has not got any significant effect on corporate social responsibility

If external influences cannot be avoided, a translation should respect its main scope of being the source for a cultural change.     The intensity of stock selection: A case of young Papuan investors

    The aim of the current study was to examine and to obtain empirical evidence of the behavior of individual investors in the stock investment decisions. It was quantitative research which applied sampling purposive technique for gaining data. The population of this study was individual investors in Jayapura who were actively investing in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results have shown that (1) Information quality systems have got significant positive influence towards the intensity of stock selection; (2) Return influences the intensity of stock selection; and (3) Education has no influence towards the intensity of stock selection

    Model of creative economic development for micro, small and medium-sized culinary industries in Kupang City Indonesia

    An effort which can be conducted by the local government of Kupang city, Indonesia, to maintain its economic growth is by optimizing the role of creative industries of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). One of the well-developed MSMEs in Kupang city is a culinary business. Interestingly, almost 70% of the culinary industry in the city is dominated by menus from outside rather than maintaining a typical menu of East Nusa Tenggara province which is processed creatively. The business development model of this industry tends to be partial, not integrated yet with policymakers, and other businesses, such as travel agencies and mass media. The purpose of this study was to identify and map the existence of the culinary business and to find out the model of developing a creative economy based culinary business in Kupang city, Indonesia.     Learning writing description paragraph based on mind mapping

    This study was aimed to describe (1) instruction in writing a descriptive paragraph using mind mapping model to the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja and (2) the ability of the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in writing a descriptive paragraph using mind mapping. This study used descriptive qualitative design. The subjects of this study were teachers and the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. The object was descriptive paragraph instruction using mind mapping. This study used an observation method and test to collect the data.  The data gathered were analyzed using qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that (1) the implementation of the instruction in writing a descriptive paragraph using mind mapping model by the teachers has closely followed the existing theory. (2) the ability of the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in writing a descriptive paragraph using mind mapping fell into good category. The score obtained was 76.41. Although the score obtained has fallen into category good, it seems that the teachers’ performance needs to be improved by giving more intensive practices, both in writing mind mapping and in developing  it into a paragraph to produce a maximum result
