    The leadership structure of traditional institution: ndori clan-lio ethnic

    This article is focused on the history of Ndori clan that is continued from the article published in the International Journal of  Social Sciences and Humanities in 2018. However, it is especially explored the offsprings of the legendary figure as stated in the first article. It raises two issues namely How is the character of the descendants of the ethnic Ndori-Lio clan, Ende district?  And How is the leadership structure of the traditional institution that belongs to the ethnic Ndori-Lio clan, Ende district?  A model is known as an interactive model. It is divided into four stages namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. It is also referred to as the analysis of mythology to answer the problems of the leadership structure of traditional institutions belong to the ethnic Ndori-Lio clan, Ende district. The research shows the two dominant characters of the descendants of the Lio Ndori clan, namely braveness and solidarity. These characters haven heritage from generation to generation. Finally, the leadership structure of the Ndori clan consists of  Mosalaki, Riabewa, and Bogehage

    Hedonism and culture toward impact of shopping behavior: Case study in small medium enterprises in Bali

    The research is aimed at finding out how the influence of hedonism behavior on Balinese culture and buying interest through Balinese culture. The data used in this study are primary data by distributing questionnaires to 100 MSME consumers in Bali. The data analysis technique used is path analysis (path analysis) with SmartPLS software version 3.0.m3. The results of the t-test in this study indicate that the hedonism behavior variable has a significant effect on Balinese cultural culture with t-statistic of 0.809 > t-table 1.97 and the value of p-values is 0.000 > 0.05. The effect of hedonism behavior on buying interest is positive and significant with t statistic value of 1.037 t-value of table 1.97 and p-value of values of 0.000 < 0.05. While the influence of Balinese cultural variables on buying interest is not significant it is so that true Balinese cultural variables as full mediating variables. The adjusted R-Square value for Balinese cultural variables only explained 74.2% of the hedonism behavior variable. The construct of buying interest is only explained at 69.7% of the Balinese cultural construct. The calculation results Q Square can be seen that the value of 0.798 is higher than 0 which means that the model has a good predictive value of relevance

    The contribution of levinas’ conception of responsibility to the ethical encounter counselor-counselee

    In fact, humans have always been closely related to others. This relationship can be meant to encounter ethical counselor-counselee which is based on an attitude of responsibility. The concept of the responsibility of Levinas can be put as a foundation for ethical counselor-counselee relation in order to contribute to and strengthen the concept of responsibility in literature-literature for guidance and counseling, and counseling practice also does not impress as conditioning. Based on a literature review and critical analysis, we found the following results: 1). The helping profession is to be interpreted in the framework of  thinking responsibility, and the responsibility of counselor-counselee should be able to be realized in concrete  actions and patterned being-for so that it becomes I-for-You (asymmetrical),  should not be reversed into a being-with so that it becomes You-to-I (reciprocity/mutuality); 2). Responsibility in the context of multicultural counseling is seen in phenomenological by pointing at reality in awareness counselor (intentionality), and 3). Empathy  as a major component of  the counselor in the basic attitude of its  existence takes responsibility for substitution (one-in-the-place-of-another). The responsibility of substitution is the unique and total responsibility of the counselor-counselee

    Self-disclosure effect on cultural context of Papuan teenagers

    Self-disclosure is revealed through various phenomena such as information on behavior, attitudes, feelings, desires, motivations, and ideas. Related to the statement, this study aims to analyze the relationship between self-disclosure to the culture of Papuan teenagers. The sample of the current study was teenager students of Middle School in Sentani, Papua- Indonesia. In the study, a random technique was applied in order to gain 183 students as the total sample. They were 20% of the 919 teenager students. The quantitative approach was applied to examine the instruments of validity and reliability, factor analysis, t-test, and correlation coefficient. The results have shown that from 78 statement items of self-disclosure, 64 statement items were declared valid while 14 others were not valid. For 85 items about culture, there were 68 valid statement items while 17 were invalid. The self-disclosure analysis of reliability was 0.823 while the culture analysis was 0.810. Furthermore, factor analysis has shown that from 64 items of self-disclosure statements, 60 items were stated to be fulfilled while 4 other items were not fulfilled. The results of the correlation coefficient were obtained at 86.5%. It is concluded that self-disclosure has a strong and significant effect on the culture of Papuan teenagers

    Fraud factors of financial statements on construction industry in Indonesia stock exchange

    This research was intended at analyzing the fraud factors of the financial statement using the fraud triangle theory approach. Financial statements manipulation was a fraud form. It was generally difficult to detect. The population was all companies engaged in the construction industry sector. They were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2017. The multiple regression is applied for the determination of the sample using purposive sampling techniques and data analysis techniques. The statistical test results showed the opportunity proxied by the audit committee illustrates the effectiveness of the control. It has been negatively affecting the fraudulent financial statements. The rationalization proxied by the auditor’s change has a positive effect on the fraudulent financial statements. This study also contributed to the fraud triangle theory. It was provided evidence that elements in the fraud triangle model. They can be used to detect fraudulent financial statements

The purpose of this study: to understand and describe the meaning and form of environmental, economic, social and cultural changes due to sustainable tourism development in Kutuh Village Ubud, Bali. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, using proportional sampling techniques consisting of managers of Villas and Hotels as well as people who work in the tourism sector in the Kutuh Petulu Village, Ubud, Bali. Sustainable tourism development is an effort by the government and the community to create jobs for future generations so that Bali's Groos Domestic Product is increasing given the enormity of globalization

    Effect of repetition method on teaching English process in classroom

    Currently, there are various kinds of foreign language teaching techniques that are used by the teachers in the classroom. One of these techniques is the repetition technique in which the teacher will repeat the previous lesson in order to improve the student’s memory. The goal of this research is to get the findings regarding the differences before and after the students to get repetition lessons in the class. The method used in this study is a quantitative method in which the data will be collected for this research. First, the researcher gave tests to the students before the repetition method applied in the class every lesson. After that, the students will get another test but the repetition method applied before the test is conducted. It was found that there were differences between the students who were given a repetition method and students who had not been given a repetition method. Based on data obtained in the field, it is found out that the students who get English lessons with the repetition method get better grades than students who do not

    The earthquake in April 2016 that mainly affected the provinces of Esmeraldas and Manabi left destitute housing many people, causing overcrowding and problems in the conditions and quality of life of the victims. The National University of Chimborazo, in its commitment to strengthen the sustainable economic and social development of Ecuador and as a way to materialize the link between academia and society, assumed the construction of housing in a community that was very affected by the earthquake and that for its Small size was not the object of priority attention by the authorities. The objective of the project was to provide emergent housing to the community of Río Muchacho to improve their habitat situation. The research process was developed with an action research approach, which began with a socioeconomic study, selecting those families with disabled, elderly and female heads of household. Subsequently, financing was provided with Bomberos Unidos sin Fronteras and 10 houses of guadua cane were built. As a final part of the research process, the result of the project was evaluated by applying surveys that reflected positive benefits in the 50 beneficiaries and in the community

Shifting social and economic structure is inseparable from the embryo of globalization that is felt in all sectors of people's lives. Globalization is the spread of values ??and certain cultures throughout the world. Things that need to be anticipated in order to be able to avoid the negative aspects of globalization are the development of the quality of Indonesian human beings through education. Providing life skills to be able to create creativity and independence. Cultivating a culture and attitude to global life. The results of the discussion show that the creation of a transparent and democratic government. Increasing global public awareness to promote the tourism sector as a leading sector and transform tourism unlike catalyst for changing more positive direction
