The working practice of the engineering students is part of the learning process that is irreducible and indispensable. The composition of  lecturing between theoretical and practical one is 40% to 60%. With this condition, the students spend more time at the laboratory. Generally, the students perform in the laboratory work by standing position. The design of research is observational cross-sectional. The method applied is observation, interview and measuring. The subjects of research are practicing students amounting to 21 students. Referring to the analysis of statistical test or Wilcoxon signed ranks test, the difference of effect of work position is significant, namely p < 0.05 towards musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) before and after working. The quantity of the average complaint after working is score 44.62 ± 9.47. The result of Wilcoxon signed rank test shows that there is significant different effects of standing work position, namely p < 0.05 towards fatigue generally before and after working. The degree of the working pulse is on the average of 110.78  ± 17.80 bpm (beats per minutes) which can be categorized into the medium workload. Using paired t-test, the result is p < 0.05

One of the problems facing construction now is obtaining materials that meet certain conditions of durability and resistance, before weathering or natural phenomena, this work shows the study of the mechanical properties of clay bricks that have were made by hand, between three different brickyards near the Portoviejo canton, here a comparison is made by applying the Ecuadorian standards. The tests allowed performing the comparisons of moisture absorption, compression resistance, and flexural strength test. Field visits, interviews, laboratory tests and tabulation of results have were used as a methodology. The software has was used to make the graphs and statistical tables for its interpretation. As a result of the research, it was found that of the three artisan brick kilns studied. They only meet one of the three criteria established by the INEN. The test that showed the best results was the resistance to bending, while the absorption moisture and resistance to compression results that are below the parameters established in the standard, a situation that is of interest to the community, because a large percentage of the population close to these artisan brick kilns, build their homes with this material

    Get PDF
This study analyzed arm muscle power and energy system measurements that work during a forehand drive on tennis. The strength of the arm and energy system information is known to be processed through several stages, i.e. identification of stimuli, the response selection stage, and the programming stage to the giving instruction of muscle movement. In this case, the player's forehand driveability increased by the strategy of drills forehand flat and forehand topspin training.  Exercises are given to both of group whose having similar the strong arm and the weak arm. Qualitative descriptions for measuring forehand drive strokes achievement are conducted to explain the strength of the arm using instrument that has been tested for its validity. This is done by troughs observing each stage treatment type of activities in the implementation of an exercise strategy which tailored the emotion process as a supporter of ability at doing forehand drive. The instruments used to see forehand driveability are designed and developed by the author himself by taking the factors of difficulties and skills possessed, then it is used as the subject of this study. The created instruments refer to the standardized of Hewitt's achievement test instrument presented by Jack E. Hewitt's, which uses numbers from 1 to 5. Furthermore, to do the measures of power for looking the energy systems is exerted by the Estimated Maximum Power Output and Capacity of Three Energy Systems table by Fox et al

Aquifer parameters knowledge was necessary for interpreting the aquifer state. It included porosity (?), hydraulic conductivity (K), specific storativity (Ss), storativity (S) and transmissivity (T). There were some methods for knowing the aquifer hydraulics parameters was Chow Method, Jacob Method, and Theis Method. These methods employed two wells i.e. one as test wells and another one monitored well for monitoring the water depth. The one assumption in this method was the aquifer equal thickness to the infinite width. What if the aquifer has an unequal thickness and limited width as well as on aquifer with buried veins or trenches? A research has been conducted to determine the aquifer hydraulic parameters with a single geoelectric on data-based wells. The steps that were taken i.e. firstly was measured by geoelectric method currently place to know the magnitude of aquifer resistivity/conductivity. Secondly, drilling was carried out in the place of the suspected aquifer. Thirdly, it was the water conductivity measurement obtained from the aquifer
