The development of blended learning model in applied mathematics by using LMS schoology: Requirement analysis stage
This research aims to obtain a draft model of applied blended learning mathematics based on LMS Schoology. The development used 4-D model Thiagarajan, and Semmel in 1974 with several modifications, namely: 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, and 4) Disseminate. Nowadays, the development of stages 1 and 2 are being carried out and part of stage 3. It is being implemented in the Engineering field of the Bali State Polytechnic (BSP). The data were collected using survey methods, documents and questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis are: 1) students' attitudes toward mathematics are very positive, moderate student learning interest, 2) high student motivation, 3) high student learning independence, 4) characteristics of applied blended learning mathematics: based on Behaviorism learning theory, Cognitivism, Humanism, and Constructivism. The format of implementation: synchronized blended learning, with a problem-based learning approach supported by LMS schoology models, multimedia such as video and audio learning media. The variations in the amount of time face to face and online in the semester, 50% face to face and 50% through e-learning. The evaluation is a process and the outcome with a performance assessment approach based on portfolio and self-assessment
Simple bookkeeping model using Microsoft excel for culinary micro-business in East Nusa Tenggara Indonesia
The aim of the current research was to build a simple bookkeeping model using Microsoft Excel on culinary micro-businesses. It was applied research that was conducted in Kupang city, Indonesia. The sampling technique used was a saturated sample. The data analysis technique used was qualitative descriptive. The results of the study have shown that the problems faced by micro-businesses in Indonesia are related to business location, human resource, and capital. All the problems, cannot be denied, are related to financial records. The micro-entrepreneurs in Indonesia, in general, do not have good financial statements that can be used as a consideration for third parties who are willing to provide capital assistance. The current research presents the simple bookkeeping model created with the Microsoft Excel program that will greatly help micro-entrepreneurs this culinary in doing financial records properly and completely
Effect of reversing lamination scheme
New numerical results are generated for in-plane compressive biaxial buckling which serves to quantify the effect of reversing lamination scheme on buckling loading. The buckling loads have been determined for two modulus ratios 40 and 5. It is observed that the buckling loads are completely the same for the given first three modes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the buckling load of laminated plates will remain the same even if the lamination order is reversed. The reason behind this is that the transformed elastic coefficients are equal for both lamination schemes

The University now is the managing three substantive core functions: teaching, research, and links, all go hand in the teaching-learning process, the interesting thing about this idea is that the Higher Education Center becomes the main axis of knowledge. The objective of this research is to know the way that Higher Education Institutions have raised their incidence in local development. Deepening, from the studies conducted in the processes of linkage, which is where the relationship with their teaching activities has established of research and where quality preparation has given to the students, allowing them to satisfy the requirements of the productive matrix of the province. From the knowledge of the agro-economic values that can contribute to local development and as a result of this research it has been determined that they have affected the territory surrounding the Institution in projects that enhance local development, shown in its actions in the Municipal Gad of Portoviejo
Learning problems on brain disorders
The learning problems have aimed at identifying the disorders or disorders of the brain, that has perceived as conflicts of the cognitive system prevent the acquisition of significant knowledge. Among the most frequent problems are mentioned three: Dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia that make it impossible for students to increase reading, writing and mathematical processes, causing disadvantages in the development of skills and abilities. The need for teachers in pedagogical interventions has raised, since they work in conjunction with psychologists and psychologists in order to take control from the detection of a problem and progress, identifying weaknesses and strengths that facilitate the proper application of pedagogical techniques and methods. The methodology applied in this investigation was inductive-deductive, emphasizing the study of problems from the particular to the general and included techniques such as survey, interview, control cards, and observation card. This will have a significant impact on society as critical, analytical and reflective students have formed, who develop in the educational, family and social environment
Teaching strategies and technology integration in developing blended learning of applied mathematics subject
Applied Mathematics is a basic skill that determines the success of students in pursuing their education in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Besides having to understand concepts and be able to solve cases according to the topics taught, students are also required to be able to solve mathematical engineering problems in the application of mechanical engineering. This makes it a difficult subject for the majority of students. This difficulty is overcome by applying blended learning. This is done by integrating curriculum design with strategy and use of learning technology so that innovation and teaching excellence are formed to support the learning process of students. Learning strategies that can be applied include explanations of concepts, problem-based learning, problem-solving and case discussions. This learning strategy is supported by multimedia technology and internet-based, namely video tutorials, discussion of material and examples of online-based cases and online discussion forums. The process of face-to-face learning in class is still being carried out. The key to the success of this learning lies in the ability to create interactions between students and fellow students, with teachers, with the community, with the material with the use of existing technology
The effectiveness of teaching program of CIPP evaluation model: Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politeknik Negeri Bali
This study aimed at finding out the level of effectiveness of the implementation of the teaching at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Politeknik Negeri Bali (PNB) viewed from the interrelatedness of the components of context, input, process, and product, This study used the evaluative study model of CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) and was done in two stages. The data were collected using a questionnaire, interview guide, and related documents that have proved to be highly valid and reliable. The data were analyzed descriptive-qualitatively and descriptive-quantitatively. The result showed that the implementation of the teaching program at the Department of Mechanical Engineering PNB viewed from the interrelatedness of the components of CIPP falls into the fairly effective category. On the other hand, the constraints encountered in the teaching program implementation were faced in the components of context and product. The greatest constraints were found in the variables of process and product related to the evaluation of nonacademic learning achievement
Developing ergonomics-based practice system to improve students’ typing skills
Increased competence must exist in vocational education. Less measurability of competency typing and convenience in using the computer laboratory becomes a problem for the Department of Business Administration, Bali State Polytechnic. For that, we need a system repair work practice typing on the student. This research was conducted at the Department of Business Administration computer laboratory Bali State Polytechnic. The method used is experiment with design group within - treatment (same subject). A total sample of 28 students of the 2nd semester and are taking practice typing. Competence is measured from the speed and accuracy in typing. Comfortable measured by questionnaires of practice comfort, and fatigue measured using a 30 item questionnaire of fatigue. Data of fatigue and comfortable were analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon test and data of typed competence analyzed using t- paired test at the 95% significance level. Results of this research showed that there was a decrease in fatigue student practice 28.10%, decrease in musculoskeletal complaints 31.14%, increase in comfortable 39.63%, increase in typing speed competence the 27.31%, and an increase in typing accuracy competence 5, 10%. It was concluded that the improvement of work practices system can reduce fatigue and musculoskeletal complaints of students and increase typing comfort and competence of students in the Department of Business Administration Bali State Polytechnic
An analysis of EFL students’ anxiety factors in speaking
EFL students’ speaking performance is not only affected by cognitive, but also effective factors. Anxiety can explain why EFL students are hesitant to speak in the classroom. Anxiety can result from various causes, which are going to be described in this article. The current study was designed as a survey, employing the Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety (FLCA) questionnaire as the main instrument. The subjects of this study were 101 students from the Department of Chemical Engineering, State Polytechnic of Malang. The results of the item analysis showed that there were nine factors contributing to the participants’ anxiety. These factors are manifested in the students’ responses towards anxious behaviors that are interpreted as the results of students’ low self-esteem, inconvenient classroom atmosphere, and peer pressure. The findings of this study can provide insights into the development of EFL students’ speaking skills, especially those related to the affective domain
Comparative estimation of models with different structures for estimation of mechanical properties of light steel profiles
The paper presents linear, quadratic, signomial and radial-based neural networks for the estimation of the mechanical properties of steel profiles for construction obtained from the chemical composition of the batches, the cross-section of the profile to be laminated, for the lamination workshops taken as case studies. As primary information, a database with the batches produced in the Antillana de Acero rolling mills is used for more than ten years. The results obtained show that the radial base neural networks applying Landweber's iterative regularization method to network training provide the highest precision. The signomial, quadratic and linear models reach similar values ??of precision taking as a criterion of comparison the standard deviation of the estimate with respect to the results of the passive experiments obtained from the quality control of the production.
