Studying the efficiency of carbon nano enterosorbents in the model of experimental renal failure
The current article examines the effectiveness of nanoenterosorbent to correct violations of the functional state of the kidneys in the experimental renal failure model. The obtained data open up opportunities for further research aimed at studying the possibility of using nanoenterosorbent in practical medicine as a new nanoenterosorbent and a means of drug delivery. The study was conducted in the following groups of animals: group 1 - control group; group 2 - an experimental model of acute renal failure; group 3 - nanoenterosorbent was administered intragastrically at a dose of 650 mg/kg per day to animals with acute renal failure. During the experiment for 3, 14 and 21 days, an analysis of biochemical parameters was obtained from each group. During the investigation, intragastric administration of the nanoenterosorbent did not reduce the dynamics of experimental uremia but reduced the concentration of level of molecular of average mass within 3 days, it also did not improve the functional state of the kidneys according to the readings of urea and creatinine for 14 days after the formation of renal failure, however, it statistically reduced endogenous intoxication according to EI data. Daily intragastric administration of nanoenterosorbent at a dose of 650 mg/kg after the formation of renal failure reduced uremia (urea, creatinine levels) and endogenous intoxication (level of molecular of average mass) after 21 days. Based on the studies, it was found that animals that received nanoenterosorbent at a daily dose of 650 mg/kg, show an optimal improvement in some biochemical parameters. </p
A Blockchain-based privacy preserving mechanism for mobile crowdsensing
In blockchain-based mobile crowdsensing, reporting of real-time data is stored on a public blockchain in which the address of every user/node is public. Now, the problem lies in the fact that if their addresses get shown to adversaries, all their transactions history is also going to be revealed. Therefore, crowdsensing demands a little privacy preservation strategy in which the identity of a user is unable to be revealed to an adversary or we can say that crowd sensors while reporting the real-time data must provide some level of anonymity to crowdsensing users/nodes [1]. The current crowdsensing architecture is not secure because of its centralized nature and the reason is a single point of failure also numerous kinds of attacks are possible by adversaries such as linkage attacks, Sybil attacks, and DDOS attacks to get the identity or any other valuable information about the nodes. The location of crowd sensors is also a threat that could lead to adversarial attacks. Consequently, some blockchain-based models must be proposed to attain privacy on the blockchain ledger. The solution can either be made up crowdsensing environment on a private blockchain or smart contracts may be the answer to this problem by which we can make the users secure from several attacks conducted by adversaries on the blockchain.</p
Effect of Water and Soil Contamination by Heavy Metals in Lettuce (Lactuca sativa), Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitate), and Turnip (Brassica napus L.) at Different Stage
Environmental pollution with heavy metals is very harmful to the human body and other life forms, even in low concentrations, as there is no effective removal mechanism. Urban agriculture utilizes this contaminated land for the cultivation of vegetable crops to facilitate their food security and entry of toxic heavy metals into the food chain. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of contaminated soil and water with heavy metals on the quality of vegetable crops at different growth ages. Microwave Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry (MP-AES) was used to determine the concentration of these heavy metals. The concentration of heavy metals (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Co, Ni, Pb, and Cr) in contaminated soil was found to be 39434.9±30.0, 3183.7±43.5, 222.0±10.2, 22.28±2.5, 0.057±0.00, 5.8±0.03, 72.72±0.01, 148.6±15 mg/kg, respectively. In addition, the mean concentration of Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Co, Ni, and Cr in wastewater was found to be 5.2±0.5, 0.8±0.08, 0.72±0.01, 1.05±0.03, 0.01±0.00, 0.2±00, 0.72±0.01 and 0.14±0.02, respectively. The relative abundance of heavy metal in soil, water and vegetable samples were in the following order: Fe >Mn >Zn > Cr > Pb> Cu> Ni> Co, Fe > Cu > Mn >Zn =Pb> Ni > Cr > Co and Fe >Mn >Zn > Pb > Cu> Cr > Ni> Co, respectively, and the accumulation of heavy metals in three month growth. All lettuce, cabbage, and turnip vegetables grew faster than two months. Both two and three months of age, the accumulation of heavy metals in turnips > lettuce > cabbage. Most of the soil, water, and vegetable samples exceeded the permissible limit of heavy metals prescribed by the World Health Organization (WHO) standards.</p

Designing a Tele-pediatric System based on the internet
The outgrowth and quick development in telecommunication technologies have opened new opportunities for diagnosing many diseases, which are life-threatening, for patients who are in rural areas and districts far away from the city, and where there are no specialists. Critical and life-threatening diseases, in which the patient cannot wait until going to a central hospital, or specialist, need to benefit from the advantages of telecommunication technologies to save the patient’s life. The segment of pediatric patients represents a significant number of patients and children represent the country’s present and bright future, so we must focus on the importance of diagnosing and treating their diseases early and on a time using the ways and means available to protect their lives from risks. Designing a tele-pediatric system for monitoring such cases can be vital and efficient in saving those babies’ lives and protecting them from significant risks of disability and even death that happen if their defects are not diagnosed and treated soon after birth. This project aimed to design a tele-pediatric system, using webpages at both transmitting and receiving sites and connected to a united database and then linked with the Sudan University of Science and Technology’s Network for testing its efficiency and effectiveness. If this project is applied; it will contribute to saving the baby’s life and raise the overall health care. </p
Sustainable development of green energy-automated bird protection at wind farms
Green energy facilitates the sustainable development of modern society. To meet the increasing demand for wind energy, however, wind turbines are installed in more and more challenging locations, often close to the natural environment of birds. Rotating at high speed, the blades of wind turbines are hardly visible to avifauna, leading to numerous collisions and fatalities. This poses a question as to whether the most recent technological achievements can be relied on to reduce the impact of man-made structures on birds. The presented research tests the potential use of the automated Bird Protection System (BPS) developed by Bioseco for collision risk mitigation at wind farms. The BPS was installed and tested in a real environment, at a wind turbine in northern Poland. The performed validation showed that at a distance of up to 300 m the BPS performs at least as well as a skilled ornithologist and large bird species are successfully detected from over 600 m.</p
Remarks on the theory of hearing-a traveling wave part two
In the paper, attention was paid to the procedure of reception and transforming auditory information, which does not comply with Bekesy’s traveling wave theory. This concerns the sound reception below the hearing threshold in some animals and birds. Discussed are some issues related to the traveling wave theory with an explanation of directional hearing. Indicated was a possibility of reception, especially, of high frequencies, directly on the receptor, without the basilar membrane, due to the conduction of sound waves through soft tissues and a bone.</p
Determinants of market participation decision and intensity of market participation in western Ethiopia: Evidence from smallholder tef producers
Tef is the first crop produced in Ethiopia and the main staple food and income generation source. The productivity of the crop is low due to different factors. This study aimed to identify factors affecting tef market participation decision and the level of market participation of tef producers’. Multi-stage sampling techniques were used to select appropriate sample households. The descriptive statistic, inferential statistic, and econometrics model were used to analyze the collected data. The result shows that 72.27% of sampled households sold their tef in the market. The double hurdle model result revealed that tef market participation decision was affected by land allocated for tef, the volume of tef produced, gender of household head, education level of household head, additional income sources, extension services, and market information while the intensity of participation was affected by the volume of tef produced, gender, education level, improved variety used, additional income sources, and extension service. These results suggest that to enhance the flow of tef to market and intensity of tef in participation skills and knowledge through training, advising, and supervision; capacitate farmers by the additional work atmosphere and empowering women farmers through improved variety and to access working capital are need attention by respective sectors that contribute in the commodity value chain.</p
