The use of lntramolecular carbon isotope distributions (13c/12c) of biomolecules to study temporal organization of post-photosynthetic metabolism in a plant cell
It was found that the pyruvate decarboxylation reaction (PDR) plays a key role in post-photosynthetic metabolism, and PDR products are structural units involved in the synthesis of almost all its metabolites [1,2]. Carbon atoms of PDR products (marker atoms) make up the carbon skeletons of metabolites. Here we show that analysis of isotope fractionation in PDR makes it possible to estimate the isotopic composition of each marker atom and its dependence on two factors: 1) on the kinetic isotopic effect of C – C bond cleavage and 2) on the isotopic effect when the pyruvate pool is depleted (Raleigh isotope effect). It is also shown that marker atoms can be divided into three groups. The first group includes atoms of methyl groups of acetate (C2-) fragments and atoms of pyruvate (C3 fragments) subjected to decarboxylation. Their carbon isotope composition does not change during decarboxylation and can serve as an internal standard. The second group includes the carbon atom of CO2 and the acyl-carbon atom of С2 – fragments. According to the kinetic isotope effect theory, they may be either enriched in 12C. relative to the atoms of the first group, when pyruvate pool depletion is less than 50% or enriched in 13C when pyruvate pool depletion is more than 50%. The third group includes the acyl and adjacent carboxyl atoms of the residual pyruvate, located at the ends of the cleaved C - C bond. These atoms are always enriched in 13C as compared with the atoms of the first and second groups at the same extent of pyruvate pool depletion. The comparison of the theoretically expected distribution of marker atoms and the experimentally measured isotope distribution of carbon atoms in the metabolites allows for studying the structural and temporal organization of post-photosynthetic metabolism.</p
Thermodynamic-induced geometry of self-gravitating systems
A new approach based on the nonequilibrium statistical operator is presented that makes it possible to take into account the inhomogeneous particle distribution and provides obtaining all thermodynamic relations of self-gravitating systems. The equations corresponding to the extremum of the partition function completely reproduce the well-known equations of the general theory of relativity. Guided by the principle of Mach's "economing of thinking" quantitatively and qualitatively, is shown that the classical statistical description and the associated thermodynamic relations reproduce Einstein's gravitational equation. The article answers the question of how is it possible to substantiate the general relativistic equations in terms of the statistical methods for the description of the behavior of the system in the classical case.</p
Lissajous curves with a finite sum of prime number frequencies
The Ulam spiral inspired us to calculate and present Lissajous curves where the orthogonally added functions are a finite sum of sinus and cosines functions with consecutive prime number frequencies.</p
Critical behavior and stability problem in a scalar field model
As shown in the works [1-3], the asymptotic behavior of the propagator in the Euclidean region of momenta for the model of a complex scalar field φ and a real scalar field χ with the interaction drastically changes depending on the value of the coupling constant. For small values of the coupling, the propagator of the field φ behaves asymptotically as free, while in the strong-coupling region the propagator in the deep Euclidean region tends to be a constant.In this paper, the influence of the vacuum stability problem of this model on this critical behavior is investigated. It is shown that within the framework of the approximations used, the addition of a stabilizing term of type to the Lagrangian leads to a renormalization of the mass and does not change the main effect of changing the ultraviolet behavior of the propagator.PACS number: 11.10.Jj.</p
The continuity of prime numbers can lead to even continuity <br> (Relationship with Gold Bach’s conjecture)
N continuous prime numbers can combine a group of continuous even numbers. If an adjacent prime number is followed, the even number will continue. For example, if we take the prime number 3, we can get an even number 6. If we follow an adjacent prime number 5, we can get even numbers by using 3 and 5: 6, 8 and 10. If a group of continuous prime numbers 3, 5, 7, 11, ..., P, we can get a group of continuous even numbers 6, 8, 10, 12,..., 2n. Then if an adjacent prime number q is followed, the Original group of even numbers 6, 8, 10, 12,..., 2n will be finitely extended to 2(n + 1) or more adjacent even numbers. A multicenter interventional study aimed to assess the effectiveness of Lavanda aroma in reducing anxiety and pain in patients undergoing PROstatic BIOpsy (LA-BIOPRO): Study protocol
Background: A prostatic biopsy is a diagnostic test used in cases of suspected prostate cancer. The patient expresses significant levels of anxiety from the very first outpatient visits; anxiety and pain management is essential for a successful outcome of the procedure. Lavender oil is one of the essential oils that is commonly used in aromatherapy to reduce anxiety and pain, its low toxicity and side effects have made it the preferred treatment in complementary medicine.Aim: To assess the 'effectiveness of lavender scent in decreasing the levels of anxiety and pain in patients undergoing a prostatic biopsy.Methods: An interventional non-pharmacological, randomized, two-arm, multi-center, nonprofit study. The SS Antonio e Biagio e Cesare Arrigo Hospital and the City of Alessandria Clinic, Monza Polyclinic of Alessandria, will enroll consecutively all adult patients undergoing outpatient prostatic biopsy from April 1, 2022, to October 1, 2022. The Numerical Rating Scale and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale will be used for assessments.Conclusion: Lavender oil aromatherapy could have a clinically significant effect on reducing pain and anxiety during prostatic biopsy procedures; its simple use, safety, and low cost provide a therapeutic option to be considered, complementary to other medical interventions in certain clinical settings. </p
Unusual presentation of duplex kidney with poor functioning upper moiety in an adult patient a case repor
Renal duplexing (also known as a duplicate collection system) occurs in about 1% of children and does not usually require medical attention. The condition results in two tubes rather than the normal single ureter tube for each kidney. Medical problems that warrant attention are obstruction of urine flow or the backflow of urine into the kidney (reflux). These double ureter tubes can join in a "y" shape before reaching the bladder (partial duplex) and combining their urine delivery. In other cases, each duplicate ureter empties into the bladder on its own (complete duplex). There is cause for concern when a duplex kidney is associated with urological conditions requiring treatment.Renal duplexing can cause urine to reflux into the kidney (vesicoureteral reflux) rather than going into the bladder and can cause subsequent Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).This can result in serious consequences like the loss of renal parenchyma (reflux nephropathy) and sometimes death in acute infections if not attended to in a timely manner. Weigert-Meyer postulated that rule i-e in a complete duplex system is mostly associated with reflux in lower moiety and obstruction in upper moiety with ectopic insertion and ureterocele. Ureteroceles may require simple management of symptoms or surgery, depending on the size of the ballooning, the functioning of the kidney and bladder and the degree of urine obstruction. An ectopic ureter is when the ureter opens and drains urine outside the bladder rather than inside.</p
Development of a management guidewheel for vulvar cancer
Ismail’s Cancer Vulva Management Guidewheel is designed to enable physicians to refer to a quick and comprehensive reference to recommendations on the management of vulvar cancer at various stages. The wheel consists of patient characteristics, including the FIGO stage and the possible treatment modalities available along with alternatives. We compared guidelines on the management of vulvar cancer by international health organizations including the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), the European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR), the British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS), the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the Japanese Society of Gynecologic Oncology (JSGO), the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) and the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO). Their respective recommendations have been compared and carefully integrated on the guidewheel.</p

Evaluation of agrobiodiversity and its trophic interactions as an indicator of sustainability in productive systems
Agriculture has intervened, modified, and simplified ecosystems to obtain some goods and services. Conventional o industrial agriculture emphasizes the use of external inputs and the homogeneity of the landscape; agroecology promotes biodiversity to maximize biological interactions and their ecosystem services. The objective was to evaluate agrobiodiversity and its trophic interactions as an indicator of sustainability by comparing: industrial productive systems, and agro-ecological and semi-natural sites in the southern Pampas region. Samples were taken of mammals, birds, arthropods, and vegetation; with different indices, the food chains and the state of the system were evaluated. The results show that agricultural intensification simplifies landscape structure with a loss of biodiversity and the absence of functional groups (herbivores and nectarivorous). In agroecological wheat, the highest density of links was found and in agroecological pastures the highest grouping coefficient, this reveals greater cohesion and integration among the components of the system and more mechanisms of self-regulation. The agroecological diversity Index showed no differences between the management, this could be related to the presence of a biological corridor in the conventional field that would be increasing biodiversity. The key to achieving sustainable agroecosystems is to procure biodiverse landscapes with patches and corridors of shrub and herbaceous species.</p
