Aspergillosis in peacocks – Case Report
The work describes two cases of Indian peacocks (Pavo cristatus) originating from extensive breeding, in which pulmonary aspergillosis and aerosacculitis were diagnosed. A clinical examination revealed difficult breathing with an open beak, gradual apathy, decreased appetite, and weight loss in both affected individuals. During the endoscopic examination, a yellow, caseous mass was diagnosed in the area of the margo caudalis of the lung. Pathological autopsy in both cases revealed a granuloma in the area of the left lung parenchyma and aerosacculitis. Fungal hyphae were detected in the granulomas by pathological-histological examination, and Aspergillus fumigatus and Aspergillus parasiticus were diagnosed by mycological culture.</p
Activating dormant strongyloidiasis secondary to COVID-19 treatment
The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has grown into a major global concern with huge efforts to combat the spread. Exaggerated inflammatory response plays a major role in which was the rationale to use corticosteroids to treat patients. However, multiple studies showed an association between opportunistic and bacterial infections with corticosteroid therapy. We report a case of a 76 year old patient diagnosed with COVID-19 treated with 10 days Dexamethasone and Remdesivir who presented with abdominal symptoms with eosinophilia. Biopsy and stool studies revealed Strongyloides stercoralis larvae. The patient was treated with 2 doses of Ivermectin with significant clinical resolution. Clinician should have high clinical suspicion for Strongloydiasis in patients who have lived or visited endemic areas and for patients with unexplained eosinophilia. Prompt treatment with Ivermectin is crucial for confirmed cases and high risk cases where obtaining a diagnosis is unfeasible.</p
Challenges in diagnosing Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia (TRS) with Frontal Lobe Atrophy from MRI Imaging: Case Study
The diagnostic criteria for the behavioral variant of frontotemporal dementia were revised recently. Distinguishing both disorders apart as brain imaging studies in patients with schizophrenia also demonstrate changes in the frontal and temporal lobes which can help in the diagnostic process. This paper highlights the challenges in diagnosing Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia (TRS) with a differential diagnosis of Fronto-Temporal Dementia (FTD) from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) imaging. From the diagnosis of the case study, it can be summarized that frontotemporal atrophy is often associated with FTD but it may also occur in a patient suffering from schizophrenia. This provides a challenge for medical practitioners to distinguish between FTD and schizophrenia as disinhibition and executive dysfunction may prominent in schizophrenia with (Frontotemporal Atrophy) FTA.</p
External root resorption of a permanent tooth. Case study
Introduction: External resorptions often occur as a lesion of inflammatory origin. The origin of the process begins on the side of the root cementum and goes towards the pulp of the tooth. The changes consist of the pathological loss of root cement, dentin, and bone surrounding the tooth. The dynamics of the process are enhanced by inflammatory or necrotic pulp changes.Aims: This study aimed to present contemporary views on the resorption of external tooth roots and the possibility of their treatment.Material and methods: The technique of observation and clinical and radiological diagnostics were used by the case-by-case methodResult: Endodontic treatment was undertaken, consisting of chemo-mechanical preparation of the canal system and simultaneous obturation of the gutta percha canals with the AH + sealant and the BL thermal system.Conclusions: The applied treatment inhibited the progression of the resorption and led to the healing of periapical periodontitis.</p
Do dental screening and treatments prior to heart valve interventions help prevent prosthetic valve endocarditis? A systematic review
Routine screening for infectious dental foci prior to elective heart valve replacement may help prevent postoperative Prosthetic Valve Endocarditis (PVE), a potentially fatal complication. This systematic review assesses the effect of routine screening for infectious dental foci on the incidence of postoperative PVE. The Cochrane Library, PubMed and EMBASE databases were all searched for relevant primary studies. The GRADE system was used to rate the studies. Three primary studies with a very low level of evidence were included in the review. No significant difference was found between the incidence of PVE in groups with or without routine screening for infectious dental foci prior to heart valve replacement. The results of this review do not support or disprove the need for preoperative screening for infectious dental foci to prevent PVE in patients undergoing heart valve replacement. Further research is necessary. </p

Bipolar injury of the clavicle: A case report
Introduction: Bipolar dislocation of the clavicle is an uncommon injury that is a simultaneous dislocation of the ipsilateral acromioclavicular joint and sternoclavicular joint. This injury is rare with fewer than fifty documented cases.Case report: We have reported the case of a forty-three-year-old bike trauma with posterior dislocation of the acromioclavicular joint and fracture of the medial part of the clavicle. Considering the young age of the patient and his requirement for high physical activity, we opted for the operative treatment. First, the patient was operated on with open reduction and stabilization of the acromioclavicular joint with 2 k. wires. So, thanks to conservative treatment at the medial fractures we had a good result.Conclusion: In light of current evidence, no important advice can be made about the treatment of bipolar clavicle fractures. We assume that the restoration of the anatomy of the acromioclavicular and sternoclavicular joints should be the aim of the treatment for this rare injury. Nevertheless, the treatment of a bipolar clavicle injury depends on different factors: injury pattern, age of the patient, daily activities, and comorbidity.</p
Characterization and identification of bacterial flora from infected equine hooves
Background: The aim of this study was to characterize and identify the bacterial flora associated with a specific hoof infection in a population of horses in the Rochester NY area.Methods: Samples taken from horses showing symptoms of infection were first grown on a Brain-Heart Infusion (BHI) solid medium. Forty different bacterial colonies were obtained and characterized microscopically and biochemically. The identity of these bacteria was also confirmed by 16S ribosomal DNA sequencing.Results: We have identified normal inhabitants of the skin such as Staphylococcus epidermidis as well as bacteria of the genus Bacillus commonly found in soil. In addition, bacteria such as Enterococcus gallinarum and Lactobacillus normally found in the intestinal tract of mammals were recovered.Interestingly, Corynebacterium xerosis, which is known to cause animal diseases was also isolated from infected horses.Conclusions: Our results indicate that the infection affecting the horses is likely the result of the presence of multiple bacterial genera including members of the normal skin and gut flora, as well as soil bacteria.</p
Challenges and opportunities of indigenous dairy production and management: The case of selected rural villages in Bambasi District, Benishangul Gumuz Regional State, Western Ethiopia
The data sources were both primary and secondary data. To enable an analysis of data collected through questionnaire, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software (version 20) was used. The mean family size of the respondents was 6.04. The mean and SDs of cattle holding per household was (8.38±4.91). The total (67.9%) of respondents were having not have owned grazing land for their dairy cows. Tryponomiasis disease (Gendi) ranked first, Pasteurellosis disease second, and external parasites were third. (98.2%) respondents rear indigenous breeds. The mean daily milk production per cow was 1.4 liters. More than half of the milk was used for family consumption. Milk is sold in the area through an informal market directly to the retailer. Technical strategies to support smallholder cattle production should focus on improving technical and institutional constraints by providing adequate veterinary services, improving fodder cultivation, proper crop residue management, and improvement, supplying medical equipment and medicines, adequate extension service, improved water availability, and improving breeding systems. To ensure a reliable feed supply throughout the year, fodder conservation practices, especially hay and crop residues, should be encouraged.</p

Introduction: Both the 1st-and 4th-pandemic outbreaks by SARS-CoV-2/3 causing COVID-19, starts in Wuhan, China, badly affecting human civilization with sever-post-COVID-diseases weakening the ability of COVID-19-vaccines to prevent-SARS-CoV-2/3-infection-or-reinfection with side effects. So, it will require proper COVID-booster-community-vaccines-doses to prevent ‘Omicron’ like any-‘A-to-Z’-diseases as early-as-possible, fulfilling the main objectives of the current ‘Community-Case-Study-Reports’ are to find out the most suitable ‘Biomedicines-Vaccine’. Methods: The ‘community-treatments’ were done with the mixture-extract of spices; Ginger, Garlic, and Turmeric forming the high-diluted ‘Spices-Community-Biomedicines’ dissolving @ 5-10 drops / 50ml-100ml (a half to a full cup) of moderately hot drinking water, orally administered @ 3-5 times/day at an interval of 1- 2hrs, against naturally occurring coronavirus-infections-or re-infections, for 45-60 days, before-symptom-onset OR illness-onset (as a vaccine).Results: The present-oral-‘community-treatments’ of ‘Spices-Community-Biomedicines-Physiology’ are very-much-effective in controlling-diseases-by-boosting-natural-immunity-against coronavirus-2/3 with no side effects among the students and their parent’s-community. Conclusion: The present “Community-Treatments-Case-Study-Reports of Spices-Community-Biomedicines-Physiology Act as Archives of Preventive-Booster-Community-Vaccines Against Omicron-Like-Any-‘A-to-Z’-Diseases By Immunizing Public-Health-Socio-Economy-Environment-Wildlife-Biodiversity-Conservation-Science-Technology-Communication-Applications-Ecology-Retaining-the-World-in-Old-Forms”. And only ‘Archives-community-biomedicines-physiology’ may save the world.</p
