Amongst the five models tested, Model 5 emerged as the best fit, incorporating indicators such as psychological empowerment (meaning, competence, impact), self-efficacy (general and social), job satisfaction (remuneration, work achievement), and work engagement (physical, emotional). This model is recommended for understanding and promoting work engagement among financial managers, providing valuable insights for organizational practices to enhance employee motivation and performance
Evaluating the Pilot Implementation of the DSWD Walang Gutom Program: A Case Study on Its Impact in Addressing Involuntary Hunger in Tondo
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) launched the Walang Gutom (No Hunger) Program to address involuntary hunger among vulnerable populations in the Philippines. This study evaluates the pilot implementation of the program in Tondo, Manila, focusing on its impact on hunger and the lives of beneficiaries. The program com-bines direct financial assistance through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) system with social interventions like job training, nutritional workshops, and community engagement. While the program shows promise in addressing hunger and empowering beneficiaries, challenges such as eligibility criteria, limited funding, and digital literacy barriers need to be addressed. The study recommends strategies to enhance the program\u27s effectiveness and sustainability, including strengthening out-reach efforts, improving digital literacy, and expanding the program\u27s reach to more vulnerable communities. Evaluations of effectiveness have yielded favorable results, with notable improvements in food security observed among beneficiaries. The progress in food security for house-hold beneficiaries is encouraging, and focused interventions can further enhance these positive outcomes. Ongoing assessments allow the pro-gram to adjust to the evolving needs of participants, ensuring sustained effectiveness. Harnessing Workforce Diversity for Enhanced Employee Performance: Strategic Insights for Capacity Building
Diversity, a consequence of evolution and globalization, has prompted businesses to reevaluate their organizational structures. This shift has created opportunities for management to harness the valuable perspectives and ideas of diverse employees, which serve as catalysts for success in the intricate and ever-changing business environment. Consequently, the primary objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between employees\u27 perceptions of diversity practices within the organization and their influence on employee productivity, engagement, and performance. Furthermore, the study seeks to ex-plore effective strategies for managing workforce diversity. The ma-jority of respondents belong to the age group of 41 years and above, are female, and are Tagalog employees. Respondents unanimously acknowledged that various diversity practices have a positive impact on employee productivity and overall organizational performance. However, significant organizational challenges such as resistance to change, communication barriers, and resource constraints hinder the successful implementation of diversity programs and, consequently, employee performance. However, there was no significant variation in the influence of diversity practices on employee productivity and overall performance across demographic groupings, such as age, gen-der, and ethnicity. The most effective diversity integration strategies employed within the organization involved regular diversity training programs and the involvement of all employees in diversity initia-tives. Furthermore, integrating diversity into employee performance leads to heightened employee satisfaction and a sense of belonging. Employees become more proactive in their roles when they feel in-cluded and valued within the organizational culture, resulting in ele-vated employee engagement levels in organizations that actively sup-port and promote diversity and inclusion. Furthermore, the integra-tion of diversity in employee engagement leads to diverse perspec-tives that contribute to improved decision-making and enhanced work outputs. The measurement and evaluation framework developed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for Diversity Management has been adapted to assess the impact of diversity initiatives on employee performance. The three-module training program was designed to help small busi-nesses develop inclusive cultures and enabling work environments as well as strategies for bringing in, managing, and retaining a diverse workforce

As digital channels have a greater influence on voter involvement and perception, identifying the criteria that resonate with people becomes critical. The study highlights important characteristics—such as ethics, community involvement, and digital literacy—that distinguish successful local candidates. The study presents a methodology for optimizing campaign messaging and outreach by studying the candidates\u27 successful social media techniques. Finally, the findings aim to help future politicians use social media to increase democratic engagement and develop meaningful ties with voters. This study emphasizes the essential interplay of candidate qualities and internet campaigning in determining electoral results
School Administrators’ Leadership Competencies and Teachers’ Resilience During Covid-19 Pandemic
This study investigated the relationship between school adminis-trators’ leadership competencies and teachers’ resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Zone 1 Division of Zambales for the school year 2020-2021. Using a descriptive research design, data were gathered from 136 randomly selected principals and teachers through a questionnaire. Results indicated that the school admin-istrators were rated "Excellent" in the leadership dimensions of managing change, solving problems, taking risks, setting vision, and demonstrating ethics and integrity. Similarly, teachers were assessed as "Excellent" in the resilience dimensions of self-awareness, realism, keeping calm under stress, empathy, and self-control. No significant difference was found in the perceptions of the school administrators and teachers regarding the administra-tors’ leadership competencies. However, a significant difference was observed in the perceptions of teachers\u27 resilience. The study further revealed a positive high correlation between administra-tors’ leadership competencies and teachers’ resilience. Based on these findings, it was recommended that school heads continue to employ democratic principles, embrace new ideas, and adapt to change while maintaining ethical integrity. Moreover, strengthen-ing the partnership between school administrators and teachers is essential in achieving the school’s vision and objectives. Future researchers are encouraged to conduct parallel studies to validate these results and support the development of effective leadership practices
School Heads’ Direct Supervision, Attitudes and Practices and Teachers’ Performance during the Post Pandemic Era
This study investigated the impact of school leaders\u27 direct supervision, attitudes, and practices on teachers\u27 performance in the post-pandemic era. This study used a quantitative method with a predictive design involving 350 permanent teachers from SDO San Pablo City\u27s four (4) large public junior high schools for the school year 2022-2023. A survey questionnaire was used to assess the level of direct supervision provided by school heads in terms of lesson planning and delivery; the level of attitudes provided by school heads in terms of motivation, communication, respect, decision-making, and sensitivity; and the level of practices provided by school heads in terms of teachers\u27 support during the transition period; meeting needs; maintaining communication contact and relationship; celebrating success; and maintaining quality. Using the mean and standard deviation, it was discovered that respondents\u27 level of agreement to school heads\u27 direct supervision in all instructional processes is very high; respondents\u27 level of agreement to school heads\u27 attitudes in terms of motivation, communication, and respect is also very high; respondents\u27 level of agreement to school heads\u27 practices in all sub-variables is also very high; and respondents\u27 level of agreement to their performance is also very high. School leaders\u27 direct supervision, attitudes, and practices are significantly related to teachers\u27 performance. Likewise, teachers\u27 performance significantly predicted school heads\u27 practices in maintaining communication contact and relationship, as well as school heads\u27 direct supervision in lesson planning As a result, it may be recommended that school leaders continue to direct the three (3) instructional processes to improve teaching, develop more positive attitudes to boost teacher morale, and maintain school practices, as teachers require more support in this post-pandemic era

Thriving in Constraints: Exploring the Interplay of Human Capital, Social Capital, and Financial Constraints in Frugal Innovation within Family Businesses
This study aims to learn the impact of human capital, social capital, and financial constraints on frugal innovation as perceived by family businesses in the Philippines. Quantitative research was performed using data collected from 93 family businesses, which were analyzed using simple linear regression and structural equation modeling. The results showed that human capital, social capital, and financial constraints, individually and collectively, have a significant impact on frugal innovation. The results also indicated that all measures used for human capital and financial constraints are acceptable, while some measures of social capital and frugal innovation were deemed unfit and were removed from the model. The academe should expand or improve its discussion and curriculum on frugal innovation and continue to look at this through the lenses of its theoretical and practical aspects. Moreover, professors and students should study the relationship further and ultimately expand knowledge and understanding. Family businesses should prioritize improving their human capital to enhance their frugal innovation capabilities. Implementing efficient financial procedures, investigating alternative funding sources, and actively seeking external finance opportunities are crucial. Moreover, family businesses should develop robust social networks. Lastly, the Philippine government should actively encourage continuous learning through mentorship programs and networks
Supply Chain Resilience During the Covid-19 Pandemic: Understanding the Role of Collaboration, Visibility, Velocity, and Flexibility in Supply Chain Resilience Using Structural Equation Modeling Approach
The Covid-19 has wrought havoc on the supply chain across the world. During the global pandemic, supply chain managers were forced to rely on short-term solutions with little to no impact on their operations. This paper aims to assess the effect of collaboration, visibility, velocity, and flexibility on supply chain resilience. A total of 66 respondents constitutes the sample of the study, consisting of middle management employees across all depots nationwide. Eight research questions and eight hypotheses were generated and tested at 0.05 significance level using descriptive statistics and path analysis to quantify the relationships among multiple variables. Data were then analyzed through partial least squares - structural equation modeling. Results showed that collaboration, visibility, and flexibility have a significant impact on supply chain resilience. However, velocity did not have a significant impact on supply chain resilience. The research concludes that the supply chain capabilities play a crucial role in the supply chain resilience of the company and its supply chain partners.
