Assessing the Impact of Laboratory Information System on Clinical Workflow and Patient Outcomes
This study looks at how Valenzuela Medical Center\u27s (VMC) clinical workflow efficiency and patient outcomes are influenced by the installa-tion of a Laboratory Information System (LIS). Due to time constraints, convenience sampling was used to collect data from sixty-three (63) medical professionals in the clinical and diagnostic laboratory depart-ments using a descriptive study design and a mixed-methods technique. To measure participant responses, descriptive statistics such as means, standard deviations, and frequency distributions were used. Using paired sample t-tests, inferential analysis was carried out to compare metrics before and after LIS adoption, with an emphasis on factors like error rates, turnaround times, and specimen handling accuracy.Key findings showed that LIS adoption improved data accessibility across departments, lowered transcription errors by about 28%, and cut specimen processing turnaround times by an average of 35%, all of which contributed to improved interdepartmental communication. Further-more, 90% of respondents expressed more confidence in the accuracy of laboratory results following LIS integration, and 85% of respondents re-ported higher satisfaction with data processing procedures. Significant improvements were also shown in patient outcomes, with quicker diag-nostic processing leading to earlier treatment commencement and, in some situations, shorter hospital stays overall. In addition to demon-strating the wider advantages of incorporating cutting-edge information systems in healthcare settings, this study emphasizes the critical role that LIS plays in improving laboratory operations, cutting down on diag-nostic delays, and improving the quality of patient care at VMC
Teacher-Mediated Pronunciation Instruction: Its Effects on Enhancing the Oral Language Fluency of Seventh-Grade English Students
This study investigated the effects of teacher-mediated pronunciation instruction on enhancing the oral language fluency of seventh-grade English students. Using a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest non-equivalent groups design, 32 learners served as respondents of the thirteen-session- study in a secondary school in Southern Luzon, Philippines. The student-respondents were tested to find out whether there would be a significant difference in their knowledge and application of the segmentals and suprasegmentals before and after the implementation of the said intervention.
In all the instruments, namely the dictation test, pronunciation achievement test, and aural-oral achievement test, the findings revealed that the experimental group performed significantly higher than the control group. Through the independent sample t-test and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA), the results revealed that the experimental group had higher mean scores than the control group with t-computed values exceeding the tabular values affirming that an explicit pronunciation instruction is better in enhancing the oral language fluency of students than only incidental acquisition. The more the learners are exposed to an intervention, the more that they will become intelligible. Other effects also include the more frequently that the teacher conducts various games, the more that the students enjoy and learn pronunciation; and the more refined a learner’s pronunciation skill is, the more improved he/she is when it comes to listening comprehension and spelling. Finally, it is recommended that more and newer interventions regarding second language phonology or any content that focuses on speaking as a macro-strand in English should be delved into
Transformational Leadership and Crisis Management Practices of Cebu Technological University-Tuburan
In making important decisions, especially during times of crisis, it is likely that leadership style cannot be disregarded (Faeq & Ismael, 2022). This study aimed at determining the transformational leadership style of school administrators and its influence to the crisis management practices of CTU as a higher education institution utilizing quantitative research focusing on descriptive survey where it used a survey questionnaire in order to describe the demographic profile to the respondents, transformational leadership style of the school administrators and the effective implementation of crisis management. Respondents were chosen using the sample determination on Slovin formula. Data were collected using the adopted questionnaire from Donmez and Toker’s (2017) and Crises Management Practices adopted from The change leader, Inc. (2007). It was revealed that age and gender are diverse, probationary employees are greater in number, new and rank and file employees dominates the workforce. Furthermore, transformational leadership styles are evident among administrators, and crisis management practices are well-implemented. Gender and civil status have no direct influence to the perceived transformational leadership styles, but age, employment status, length of service and current position does. Transformational leadership significantly influence crisis management practices in CTU-Tuburan. It can be concluded that sound decision can be made when leaders possess transformational leadership style. Hence, this calls for sustainability and consistency from the top management

Development and Evaluation of an Optimized Energy Recovery System from Excess Heat of a Compressed Air System
The aim of this study is to build a bounded optimized energy recovery system from the compressed air system’s excess heat. It is important to concentrate on the use of products that satisfy the requirements for performance and sustainability, as well as the need for energy that will be optimized. Purposive sampling is used to select the respondents, using quantitative research, specifically both descriptive and developmental methods. The researcher utilized a decision support tool developed by Kolaitis et al., (2020) as the primary research instrument of the study. The adopted tool was slightly modified to suit the assessment needs of the developed energy utilization system. All the main criteria components are interpreted as highly sustainable. The researcher utilized log sheets to determine the performance of the study. Finally, paired t-test was used to determine whether there was a significant difference in the performance of the study. The performance of the optimized energy after the implementation of the project was statistically higher than the performance of the optimized energy before the implementation of the project. The researcher concluded that the performance of the optimized energy recovery system from excess heat of a compressed air system after the installation and operation was effective and efficient based on the ratings of respondents and descriptive measures on the log sheet. For this kind of innovation, the manufacturing company with the same equipment should adopt and sustain it for potential energy savings and protect mother nature
