Grammar Express Unleashed: A Microlearning Hub Approach to Least Learned English 7 Competencies
Get PDFThe study employed a mixed-method developmental approach to design a learning hub imbued with microlearning to address the least learned competencies in English 7. The least learned competencies were identified by considering existing test results in the locale of the researcher, which were supported by the findings of existing studies in the literature through a systematic review. The researcher assumed the roles of content creator and curator and identified relevant microlearning materials available for access. Experts validated the quality of the identified learning content through an adopted questionnaire. Afterwards, the researcher designed the Grammar Express. ICT experts were asked to validate the platform using an adapted rubric to determine whether it is suitable as a learning website. An adapted questionnaire was used to measure the level of acceptance of Grammar Express by language teachers. Meanwhile, an adapted questionnaire was used to evaluate the level of usability of the platform as perceived by the students. Based on the findings, the respondents believe that Grammar Express is useful since it offers tangible benefits and can enhance instruction. Similarly, in terms of perceived ease of use, Grammar Express requires less effort to learn and utilize. In addition, there is a strong positive attitude to incorporate Grammar Express in language teaching. Furthermore, there is a strong intention to use Grammar Express, which indicates a high level of acceptance and enthusiasm for the platform. In terms of usability, there is a strong inclination toward frequent use and displayed confidence in navigating the platform independently.
 
Performance of Caged Broilers and Uncaged Broilers Fed with Activated Bamboo Charcoal and Bentonite Clay Mineral as Feed Additives
Get PDFThe issue of animal welfare and the usage of antibiotics resulted in the development of different rearing systems and the use of feed additives as antibiotic alternatives. Cage-free broiler production allows birds to express their normal behavior promoting better welfare of the animal. The study aimed to investigate the growth performance of broiler chickens reared in cages and uncaged with feed additives. A total of 180 COBB broilers were used and randomly distributed into 6 different treatments and replicates following a randomized complete block design. The birds were weighed prior to arrival, 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, 4th week, and 5th week to determine the growth performance parameters. Economic analysis was also measured after the end of the study. The data was analyzed using Proc Mixed of SAS v. 9.4, and group comparison was used to evaluate the differences between the control and experimental groups. The result showed significant differences in feed intake at 1st week (p=0.0249) compared to the birds reared in an uncaged system. Feed intake in subsequent weeks and other growth performance parameters showed no significant differences throughout the study. Birds fed with 0.5% activated bamboo charcoal and bentonite clay obtained a higher return on investment than in 1% inclusion. These results imply that uncaged birds have the same growth performance with caged birds and could express their natural behavior at the same time. The result also revealed that better performance and profitability can be achieved at 0.5% inclusion of feed additives in the diet

Through cross-cultural learning and recommendations for government investment, teacher training, community engagement, and health education integration, stakeholders can enhance PE programs globally, fostering physical activity, sports participation, and overall well-being among students
The Role of Influencer-Generated Contents to the Cognition and Emotional Attachment Among Generation Z Consumers in Manila, Philippines
Get PDFAlong with the rising digitalization of businesses, social media influencers (SMI) have been essential in redefining how the online promotional system operates. In the Philippines alone, social media influencers are central to all online discussions. The country is known as the "social media capital of the world," as 86.3% of Filipinos follow at least one influencer and spend about 11 hours each week on social media.
With the use of an existing theory and testable hypotheses, the researchers will gather data while adhering to the positivist philosophy. To obtain objective and statistically significant results, the researchers will measure, document, and examine the data through a survey. Moreover, the researchers will carry out various statistical testing, including PLS-SEM, average variance extraction (AVE), heterotrait-monotrait (HTMT) ratio, variance inflation factor (VIF), squared multiple correlation (R2), Stone–Geisser’s Q2, etc. using SmartPLS.
Delving into the results, it was shown that influencer-branded content\u27s interestingness does affect users to be emotionally attached. Research findings also revealed that influencer-generated content\u27s novelty does not significantly affect users\u27 emotional attachment to influencers. It was also shown that reliability positively affects emotional attachment, as well as information quality. But when it comes to understandability it shows no relationship with emotional attachment. Lastly, it is revealed that there is no significant relationship between emotional attachment and users\u27 intention to disagree with the influencer.
As a conclusion, social media influencers have become instrumental in making digital platforms a more enjoyable place to dwell
Factors and Challenges in Road Crash Incidents: Basis for Enhanced Interventions
Get PDFThis study examined the factors that led to road crash incidents in Metro Manila, focusing on human behavior, public awareness and attitudes, road infrastructure and Mdesign, technological interventions, and the implementation of enforcement measures. The findings indicated that human error was the primary cause of road crashes, with speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, distracted driving, failure to adhere to traffic rules, and aggressive driving behaviors identified as significant factors. We also found that road infrastructure and design, public awareness and attitudes, technological interventions, and enforcement measures significantly contribute to road crash incidents.
The study further explored the challenges encountered by the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group in reducing road crash incidents. The study identified significant challenges in human behavior, public awareness, road infrastructure and design, technological interventions, and enforcement measures and found strong positive relationships between these factors and road crash incidents. We deemed it crucial to address these challenges to impact road safety and reduce accidents significantly. The research highlighted the importance of addressing human behavior, public awareness, road infrastructure and design, technological interventions, and enforcement measures to enhance road safety and reduce road crash incidents in Metro Manila. By focusing on these factors and addressing the identified challenges, the PNP Highway Patrol Group could implement enhanced interventions and promote a safer transportation environment for all road users

Get PDFThe Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) rolled-out the Dangit Processing Livelihood FishCORALProject for the fishers’ organization in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon in mid 2019 funded by UN-IFAD. Designed to help reduce poverty through increased household income, women participation and project sustainability. This study looked into the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of implementation and readiness in attaining project objectives. The study is mixed descriptive method and used semi-structured questionnaire, key informants interview, FGD and secondary data analysis. The project was found relevant but poor in coordination and involvement of other stakeholders. Effective but failed to contribute to poverty reduction due to late implementation, no comprehensive project plans and technical support. Inefficient as it failed to translate resources it to incomes and sustained operations. The community organizationsare not ready and capable (lack technical and business management skills). The local resources (danggit, people and community organization) guarantee sustainability if managed appropriately. Women empowerment is hardly achieved. Recommendations;1) Develop project sustainability plan (technical and business facets of theproject), capacitate the organization along leadership and business management. 2) Bio-ecological data be produced on danggit stock to fine tune harvesting and regenerative capacity to ensure sustainability of supply. 3) Technical support provision coming from BFAR, LGU, academe, DTI, DOST, NLRC, NGOs in the form of product development, value adding, branding & packaging, business management, access to funds, assigning a full-time community facilitator as priority. Responsibilities and commitments of BFAR, LGU and the beneficiary be concretized through a memorandum of cooperation
A Comparative Analysis of Media Viability between Bantay Balita and Dateline Weekly Newspaper in the Digital Age of Journalism
Get PDFThe study aimed to analyze the survival of two operational community newspapers in Cavite: Bantay Balita and Dateline Weekly Newspaper, amidst the surge of the digital age of journalism. The researchers employed a qualitative method, specifically a descriptive type, through semi-structured interviews for the research design. Purposive and convenience sampling techniques were utilized in the study. The selected editorial board members of Bantay Balita and Dateline Weekly Newspaper were the main criteria for participant selection. During data analysis, the researchers examined the gathered data using thematic analysis. In this method, researchers interpreted the extracted codes from participants’ responses.
The results revealed that Dateline Weekly Newspaper is more stable than Bantay Balita due to its long-standing presence, digital adaptability, additional business opportunities, and strong networks with accredited partners, substantially contributing to its survival. Dateline maintains a good reputation, is free from lawsuits and criticism, and actively avoids competition. However, it faces challenges in the editorial process, production, and distribution resources. It is observed that Dateline Weekly Newspaper lacks the ABCs of news writing—accuracy, brevity, and clarity—in some of its news articles, often relying on outsourced press releases and encountering issues with operators and delivery systems.
On the other hand, Bantay Balita struggles with digital adaptation but remains viable due to its quality journalism. Most of its connections are with governmental sectors, limiting its business potential. Despite legal accusations and financial distress, Bantay Balita continues to operate by engaging in friendly competition, contributing to its resilience in the industry

The Status of Anti-Piracy of The Optical Media Board: Basis for an Enhanced Standard Operating Procedure
Get PDFThe rampant piracy issue in the Philippines has significant repercussions for both the entertainment industry and the government. To address this concern, the Optical Media Board (OMB) was established in 2003 as a government agency; responsible for enforcing intellectual property laws related to optical media. Despite the OMB’s efforts, piracy remains a persistent problem, particularly in the digital domain. The researcher conducted surveys among OMB personnel and licensed clients, utilizing a quantitative descriptive method and purposive sampling technique.The comprehensive evaluation of the OMB’s anti-piracy efforts revealed that the board was very effective in several key areas, including: intelligence/enforcement operations, information campaigns, digital piracy operations and quasi-judicial functions. Both OMB personnel and clients acknowledged the high effectiveness of these areas. However, there were perceptible differences in the perception of information campaigns among the respondents. The study recommends that the OMB intensify its efforts in this domain by disseminating information about piracy trends, emerging threats, and best practices to stakeholders. This collaborative approach aims to enhance the overall effectiveness of government-led anti-piracy initiatives. Furthermore, the challenges faced by the OMB are highlighted in the study, particularly the international nature of piracy operations, which is widely regarded as a formidable obstacle
Exploring Pre-Service Teachers\u27 Knowledge and Perceptions of Classroom Assessment: A Pathway to Enhanced Pedagogy
Get PDFThis present study investigates the extent to which pre-service teachers understand classroom assessment and their conceptions of its effects on student learning and improvement of instruction. In the survey response of 106 pre-service teachers, the knowledge in assessment procedures was strongly positive. However, there is room for development in areas such as planning for varied learners, data interpretation, and feedback (average mean = 3.74).
The mean score of 4.00 reveals that pre-service teachers consider assessment important for identifying students\u27 strengths, and fine-tuning education, but targeted training in real skills is recommendable for delivering assessment effectively at an educational institution
