Proposed Training Program on Competency Needs and Challenges of Inclusion Assistants in Abu Dhabi
This study investigated the competency needs and challenges faced by Inclusion Assistants (IAs) supporting Students of Determination (SODs) in Abu Dhabi schools to inform the development of a tailored training program. Using a concurrent triangulation mixed-methods design, data were collected via surveys and interviews from 100 IAs. Findings indicate most IAs (aged 26–29) lack formal training and advanced qualifications. Competency was rated highest in disability understanding (3.86), lesson plan modification (3.81), and empathy (3.83), but collaboration with teachers (2.84), communication (3.08), and assistive technology use (3.04–3.26) require improvement. Key professional development barriers include irrelevant content (3.91), poor applicability (3.93), and limited access (3.83). The study highlights the need for a context-specific training program to enhance collaboration, emotional intelligence, and technological skills, aiming to empower IAs and improve inclusive education outcomes for SODs in Abu Dhabi
A Needs Assessment of Choral Groups at an Archdiocesan Shrine in Tacloban City, Philippines: Basis for an Extension Project
This qualitative needs assessment explores the current practices, challenges, and developmental needs of the choirs serving at an Archdiocesan Shrine in Tacloban City. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive design, data were gathered through interviews and focus group discussions with ten purposively selected participants from choir members, coordinators, and conductors. Thematic analysis revealed five major themes: current musical practices, training and skill development needs, resource limitations, coordination and leadership, and spiritual and community growth. Findings indicate that while choirs exhibit strong commitment and structured rehearsal routines, they face significant gaps in formal training, access to musical resources, and leadership support. Participants also emphasized the choir’s role as a spiritual community and expressed a desire for deeper liturgical formation and pastoral guidance. These findings suggest the need for multidimensional interventions, including capacity-building initiatives, resource allocation, leadership development, and spiritual enrichment. The study further recommends the implementation of an extension project by the Leyte Normal University Bachelor of Music in Music Education, offering workshops and mentorship to address the identified needs. Strengthening the choir ministry is seen as essential not only for improving liturgical music quality but also for enhancing the spiritual vitality of the parish community

Experts, including an area specialist and a language specialist, validated the instrument used for data collection. Eighty-three respondents were selected for the study. Quantitative results revealed that respondents positively embraced and perceived the school culture as shown in the composite mean of 3.45 (SD = 0.34), verbally interpreted as "agree" and described as "adopted.” Furthermore, there was a significant difference in how students perceived the school culture at different ages. Meanwhile, the qualitative findings revealed that respondents had different views of school culture. The themes generated from the qualitative data presented varied views of college students on their way of life at school. They perceived that being at school helped them learn new things and feel comfortable around their classmates and teachers, making the experience more bearable
Trends and practices in English language assessment in ASEAN countries: A meta-synthesis study (2021-2025)
Across the linguistically diverse ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member states, English has been acknowledged as the sole official working language. It serves as a unifying medium in business, diplomacy, and education. This study explores emerging assessment practices and methodologies in English language teaching within the regional context over the last five years, considering Kachru’s 3 Concentric Circles Model of the English Language. Using databases and following the PRISMA flow, the selected articles were verified by the three experts in English language teaching. A total of 12 published articles met the eligibility criteria: four from Malaysia, four from the Philippines, and four from Indonesia. With Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis steps, key factors influencing English language assessment were identified from the validated studies: benchmarking, learner autonomy, ICT integration, upskilling, and preparation for workforce demand. Based on these insights, the meth-synthesis proposes a new framework aimed at addressing the identified challenges. The findings of this study have significant implications for enhancing the quality of English language assessment across ASEAN countries
Involvement and Decisions of Young Professionals on Stock Investments
Young professionals in the Philippines show low stock market involvement due to behavioral biases, poor risk assessments, lack of confidence to invest, and limited understanding or trust in digital investment tools. This study examined the influence of determinants of stock market involvement to stock investment decisions among 385 young professionals in Cebu City aged 20-35, a demographic with growing financial capacity but limited involvement, while also accounting the impact of demographic factors. Employing descriptive statistics, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and Chi-Square Tests, results revealed that age, monthly income, and years of stock investment experience significantly affect involvement and investment decisions. Strong correlations were found between stock market awareness and investment behaviors, risk perception, and technology adoption with key investment decision factors, including consideration of economic conditions (r=.696), technical indicators (r=.620), market volatility (r=.684), and stock market indices (r=.606). Results affirm the Theory of Planned Behavior, Prospect Theory, and the Technology Acceptance Model, while supporting the hypothesis that a significant relationship exists between the levels of involvement and investment decisions. The findings underscore the importance of personalized financial education, improved digital literacy, and greater regulatory transparency to foster confident, data-driven investment decisions. These insights also provide a valuable basis for financial institutions, policymakers, and fintech developers to collaboratively design accessible, behavior-sensitive, and tech-enabled programs that encourage deeper and smarter engagement in the stock market

Balancing Equations and Endurance: Enhancing the Engagement of Grade 10 STE Students in Sports Activities
This action research examined the impact of a mini-sports tournament on the sports participation of Grade 10 Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) students at Bulacan State University–Laboratory High School. The study aimed to address the decreasing engagement in physical activities among students who face heavy academic workloads. A pre-test and post-test survey measured students’ participation levels before and after the intervention, and the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, which yielded a z-score of −4.043 and a p-value of .000, indicating a statistically significant difference below the .05 level. Results showed a notable increase in students’ enthusiasm, teamwork, and participation in sports following the tournament. The activity provided an avenue for relaxation and social interaction, helping students balance their academic responsibilities with physical well-being. The findings demonstrate that structured sports programs can effectively promote engagement and motivation without compromising academic performance. This study highlights the importance of integrating physical education and extracurricular sports into academic settings to foster holistic student development and enhance both physical health and academic productivity among high school learners
A Data Repository System for the Information Technology Department using Google Site
The study describes the development of the data repository system for Bulacan State University’s Department of Information Technology that was accomplished using Google Sites. The system is an orderly, accessible mechanism for storage, conservation, and administration of digital resources. Quantitative research was conducted to utilize questionnaires and document analysis to investigate whether there is a need for a central repository. The respondents were randomly chosen using simple random sampling, and they comprised domain experts and department members who were lecturers. The repository was analyzed using the ISO 25010:2011 method to optimize the appreciable challenges presented in document fixing, including duplicating files and links, the lack of ample space, data corruption, the inadequacy of keywords in the search, and the issue of migration. Using Google Sites to implement it, thus making the system more accessible and usable thus this can be a practical example of a departmental document repository. It supports its purpose in improving productivity, accessibility, and long-term preservation. The study demonstrates that the use of the developed system largely reduces errors associated with document management and presents an organized, efficacious, and dependable central mechanism in addressing the common challenges in digital resource conservation and retrieval
