Infrastructure Projects after Asian Financial Crisis (1997-1998) in China
Get PDFアジア通貨危機(1997-1998)によって金融資本市場は縮小し、それまで世界的な規制緩和で進みつつあったインフラ開発プロジェクトへの民間資金の導入は難しくなった。すなわち、民間資金を活用したインフラ開発による景気下支えは各国にとって難しくなり、政府主導のものに期待がかかっていった。ただ、政府部門にも財政上の制約からそれにも限界があった。その中で、アジア各国はどのような施策を打ち出したのか。中国を事例にして当時の中央政府、地方政府、海外資本の関わりと相互の関係性の観点から概略的に検討を行う。Asian financial crisis caused depression in East Asia from 1997 to 1998. Asian countries tried to boost their economy by infrastructure development. The paper discusses the characteristics of infrastructure development in China in those days. The analytical angles are the policies and activities of the central government, municipal governments and overseas Chinese enterprises.
