    The Role of Lore in Purchase Decisions for Mecha Plastic Model

     Nowadays, Japanese pop culture is growing rapidly in Indonesia, encompassing Anime, Manga, and Video Games originating from Japanese subcultures. Anime, Manga, and Video Games are not only popular in Japan and Indonesia but are also adored by people from many other countries, making Japanese pop culture a global phenomenon. Like anime films, manga has various genres, one of which is the mecha genre. The mecha genre is a sci-fi or fantasy genre that involves robot characters, commonly referred to as mecha. One of the most successful mecha anime series that has produced numerous merchandise items is Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam has led to the creation of various merchandise, particularly Gunpla (Gundam plastic models), which are often supported by rich lore through anime and manga. In contrast, newer Chinese mecha model manufacturers frequently release products without any accompanying narrative or backstory. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the presence or absence of lore influences consumer purchasing decisions for mecha plastic models. Through qualitative analysis, the research reveals it was found that the presence of a backstory or lore does not significantly influence the consumer's decision as long as the design, price, and quality of the product offered can compete with Japanese model kits. However, lore can serve as an added value for model kits from China, as this background story provides a deeper understanding for the buyer about the story behind the product

    Different perspectives and ways of thinking about culture and beliefs can be a source of gender issues in society. According to historical records, most societies in the past still adhere to a patriarchal culture, which places men as the main power holder and treats women as weak people who have no power. Some communities still adhere to this culture today. This research aims to represent gender equality and women empowerment through the design of women's deluxe ready-to-wear clothing using surface design embroidery. The qualitative research method was conducted by interviewing 6 fashion experts and 12 extreme users, as well as journals, news, and online observations as secondary data collection. The design method used is the design thinking method with the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, to test, which is a guide so that the design results are in accordance with the initial concept. The result of this design consisted of 5 sets of deluxe ready-to-wear clothing that combined structure, feminine, and revealing elements with the main materials of semi wool, tweed, and chiffon and the application of surface design embroidery exploration with an unfinished impression to convey gender equality and women empowerment issues. This collection is aimed at women fashion enthusiasts aged 20 - 35 who value uniqueness and quality, prioritize trend and style, and have middle to upper class status. Through the application of surface design embroidery on clothing, it is hoped that it can be a solution in building public awareness about gender equality and women empowerment

    Studi ini meneliti peran soundtrack dalam membangun brand recognition untuk film "How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies." Selain memperkuat narasi dan kedalaman emosional film, soundtrack memainkan peran penting dalam menciptakan identitas auditif yang khas, yang membantu film ini menonjol di pasar yang padat. Dengan memadukan elemen musik tradisional Thailand dengan lanskap suara modern, musik dalam film ini berhasil beresonansi dengan audiens lokal maupun internasional, menciptakan koneksi budaya dan emosional yang kuat. Analisis ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana motif musikal tertentu dalam soundtrack menjadi simbol bagi film tersebut, berkontribusi pada pengakuan dan daya tariknya secara lebih luas. Penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana soundtrack,serupa dengan branding dalam industri lain, dapat meninggalkan kesan mendalam pada audiens dan berkontribusi pada posisi pasar film. Melalui eksplorasi ini, studi ini menunjukkan bahwa soundtrack adalah alat yang kuat tidak hanya untuk keterlibatan emosional, tetapi juga untuk membangun identitas merek film, mendorong loyalitas audiens, dan meningkatkan daya tarik lintas budaya.Studi ini meneliti peran soundtrack dalam membangun brand recognition untuk film "How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies."     Kampung Wisata Kali Gajah Wong merupakan objek wisata di Yogyakarta yang terletak di kawasan perkotaan dengan kepadatan penduduk yang tinggi. Kawasan tersebut memiliki beberapa lahan terlantar yang belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Solusi terhadap permasalahan mitra berupa edukasi dan pendampingan dalam pemanfaatan lahan terlantar serta pemaksimalan lahan terbatas untuk urban farming. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dijadikan sebagai diversifikasi produk wisata edukasi yang siap dipasarkan dengan harga pokok produksi (HPP) yang sesuai dan kemasan yang menarik, sebagai bentuk pemasaran pariwisata berkelanjutan. Dampak dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan mitra dalam mengimplementasikan urban farming. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan penyerahan alat lengkap untuk mendukung kegiatan tersebut

    The influence of employee productivity and service quality of front office department on job satisfaction mediated by work motivation in the hospitality sector

    This study focuses on how staff productivity and service quality of the front office department affect job satisfaction, with work motivation as a mediating variable in the hospitality sector The objectives are to determine how employee productivity affects job satisfaction, evaluate how service quality affects job satisfaction, and examine how work motivation functions as a mediating factor among productivity, service quality, and job satisfaction. Front desk staff at a number of Indonesian hotels completed a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1–5, which was used to gather data using quantitative methods. Job satisfaction, work motivation, service quality, and employee productivity were among the variables examined. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares) in Smart-PLS statistical software. Validity and reliability testing were also conducted to make sure the study tool was suitable. The analysis on the 79 responses collected via google forms revealed that while job satisfaction is less significantly impacted, employee productivity and service quality have a considerable impact on work motivation. It is discovered that work motivation plays a significant part in raising job satisfaction

    The interrelations among tourism industry, social media, and technological innovation: A systematic review approach

    Technological approach affecting on tourism industry development is uncertainties from era to era. This study examines the impact of social media and technological innovation on tourism outcomes through a systematic review. Data were collected from three databases: EBSCO (1984-2019), Scopus (2005–2021), and Web of Science (2009-2020), using keywords such as technology innovation, digitalization, social media, and enhancing tourism industry outcomes. Quality assessment was performed using SPSS and Cohen’s Kappa statistics by two reviewers. Out of 156 articles initially screened, nine qualitative studies were included after further review. The findings indicate that social media platforms have the most significant impact on the development of the tourism industry. However, the study has limitations, including not exploring the impact of blockchain technology adoption. The concept of tourism has evolved into smart tourism, influencing tourist behavior through digital marketing, creative digital solutions, and digital payments. This has modernized and enhanced the tourism industry, requiring further efforts to meet tourist demands and expectations. Technologies like AI, IoT, VR, and AR are key factors in improving the tourism industry. To boost competitiveness and sustainable performance, stakeholders, governments, and tourism practitioners need to collaborate on developing strategies and technological innovations

    Tourism development strategy based on edutourism integrated with local wisdom: A case study of Gondanglor Lamongan

    Gondanglor Sugio Village has great potential to become a tourist village in Lamongan. Some of the tourist attractions in Gondanglor Village are Gondang Reservoir, G-Park, and Pesarean Nyai Dewi Sekardadu. But in reality, the number of tourists in Gondanglor village is decreasing every year. The aim of this research is to analyze the factors for the decline in the number of tourists and provide a policy brief for tourism development in Gondanglor Village. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data obtained using interviews, questionnaires, observations and surveys. The results of the research show that one of the factors in the decline in the number of tourists is the strategy for optimizing the tourism management system which is less than optimal. This is demonstrated by management, planning, implementation of maintenance of tourist destinations, supervision, accessibility to tourist destinations, organization that only involves related agencies, and should be able to involve all stakeholders so that the involvement of all stakeholders in management can be optimal

    Beyond Survival: How Adaptive Leadership and Knowledge Drive Entrepreneurial Breakthroughs in SMEs

    National competitiveness is strongly impacted by economic development, which also heavily relies on the performance of entrepreneurs. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurial performance and knowledge competency and adaptive leadership. In this study, stakeholder pressure serves as a moderating variable. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. PLS-SEM was used to analyze the data from 203 SMEs' owners, managers, shop heads, and decision-makers. The results showed that intellectual capacity and adaptable leadership significantly impacted entrepreneurial success. Furthermore, just as stakeholder pressure improves the relationship between knowledge competency and entrepreneurial performance, it also strengthens the relationship between adaptive leadership and entrepreneurial performance. However, it has no discernible effect. To achieve corporate sustainability, this study gives SMEs valuable insights on how to increase their knowledge capacity, adaptive leadership, and ability to respond to stakeholder demands

    The Influence of Fear of Failure and Entrepreneurship Education on Social Entrepreneurship Intention

    This paper examines the relationship between the intention to create a social enterprise and inhibiting factors, particularly in the context of the fear of failure, among undergraduate students enrolled in entrepreneurship-focused curricula. The study aims to investigate how constraining factors, such as the fear of failure, influence an individual's intention to start a business. The relationship between entrepreneurship education and curriculum will help mitigate the inhibiting effect of the fear of failure factors, which is also examined. Senior year undergraduate students majoring in business at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya were selected as the primary focus of the study, considering that the curriculum is heavily focused on creating entrepreneurs. The method used is a quantitative research method, specifically employing a survey-based approach, analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show no significant relationship between social entrepreneurship intention and fear of failure, whereas the relationship between fear of failure factors and perceived entrepreneurial education exhibits a strong positive correlation. Entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship intention show a significant positive relationship as predicted. On an entrepreneurship-focused campus, fear of failure does not significantly influence students' decisions to become entrepreneurs in the future

    Budaya merupakan faktor identitas negara yang menjadi panduan perilaku masyarakat untuk berkembang dan mewariskannya ke generasi selanjutnya. Semakin berkembangnya zaman, budaya Indonesia lambat laun memudar akibat masuknya budaya barat yang lebih modern dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk mewariskan nilai – nilai budaya. Dalam ranah arsitektur, hal yang dapat dilakukan sebagai bentuk kontribusi pelestarian budaya, khususnya kepada generasi muda adalah dengan menerapkan nilai – nilai budaya ke dalam desain bangunan. Pendekatan konsep yang dapat dilakukan untuk menggabungkan budaya dan desain bangunan adalah dengan pendekatan sense of place. Oleh karena itu, terciptalah konsultan Luh Aditya Architect dengan pendekatan konsep sense of place budaya Tri Hita Karana-Tri Loka yang digabungkan dengan budaya daerah tempat proyek dibuat. Pendekatan ini memiliki maksud untuk melestarikan filosofi budaya (adat istiadat kebiasaan, makna budaya) ke dalam desain yang tak lepas dari terciptanya suasana harmonis dengan Tuhan, sesama, dan lingkungan. Rancangan proyek yang akan menerapkan konsep sense of place budaya ini adalah museum dan sanggar tari Bali. Pembuatan desain bertujuan meningkatkan dan melestarikan budaya tari dan musik tradisional Bali kepada masyarakat lokal, khususnya generasi muda Indonesia, maupun mancanegara. Desain harus dapat menyampaikan budaya khas Bali namun tidak terkesan kuno dan monoton. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif
