    Planning With 'Three-World Structures': A Comparative Study of Settlements in Mountain Villages

    Mountain peoples’ basic understanding of the world is based on binary space concepts such as top-down, left-right, east-west, sacred-profane, and others, which form a threefold division structure that places people in the middle of their environment. Mountain settlements in several places in Indonesia that still emphasize this primitive understanding or classification are interesting to study in terms of their similarities and differences. This study aimed to compare three cases of settlements, namely Singengu Mandailing village in North Sumatra, Tenganan village in Bali, and Kampung Naga in West Java in terms of their understanding of binary space concepts that constitute this threefold division structure and their application in the planning of the community’s living environment. This study is a theoretical dialogue between the concept of binary space (bincar-bonom) in Singengu Mandailing village and two other local concepts that are similar, namely kangin-kauh (sunrise-sunset) in Tenganan village and timur-barat (east-west) in Kampung Naga. This qualitative study used data from the literature and the analysis was carried out following a qualitative descriptive research procedure. Based on previous research, each case has its own data, which the authors used to uncover differences and similarities in the binary space concepts from the three study cases. The authors employed a spatial matrix image to depict the position of each settlement element in the three cases, allowing the similarities and differences to be seen. The findings of the study show that Tenganan, Kampung Naga, and Singengu Mandailing have striking similarities in terms of addressing the middle point, namely as an axis or axis point. The difference lies in the filler elements and their value. The mountain village of Bali interprets the sacred-profane binary concept similarly to the mountain village of Mandailing, except in terms of the direction of sunrise-sunset. The settlement arrangement of Tenganan Pageringsingan village at the macro, meso, and micro scales defines the direction of the sunrise and sunset as a profane direction, whereas in Singengu village, the direction of the sunrise is a sacred direction and the direction of the sunset is a profane direction. As for the Singengu and the Naga communities, they understand the middle point to be related to the direction of the sunrise and sunset in opposite directions, so there are differences in treating certain artifacts, especially cemeteries. The binary space that influences the process of forming rural settlements in the mountains can be: (1) the physical setting due to natural/geographical conditions, (2) the cosmology and belief systems adhered to, and (3) the people’s socio-cultural life. Rural settlements in the mountains can also be said to emphasize the natural aspect of the mountains with all of their spatial shaping potential. The study’s findings further show that the local people’s understanding of their living space patterns has been carried over from previous generations to the present day. This suggests that settlement planning for local communities, particularly in mountainous areas where hereditary beliefs still exist, must be approached in a specific way.     Evaluation of Tourism Recovery Innovations in D.I. Yogyakarta based on Data Analytics

    Sector tourism is one of the sectors hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. To accelerate recovery tourism, D.I. Yogyakarta stakeholder collaboration a series of innovations. From the supply side, D.I. Yogyakarta is trying to improve attractions and amenities, following the shifting in preferences of tourists. For increasing demand side, collaboration to intensified promotion healthy tourism. This study trying to measure how effective the innovation efforts to tourism recovery and identifying factors that affect them. Furthermore, efforts necessary to conduct could accelerate the satisfaction level of tourists and increase D.I. Yogyakarta tourism branding power, leading to an increase in the quantity and quality of visit travelers to the D.I. Yogyakarta territory. This study has a combined approach, both qualitative and quantitative. Primary data was obtained from Focus Group Discussions with tourism stakeholders. Secondary data mainly used is the unstructured data obtained from TripAdvisor, Twitter, and Instagram. Analysis tools are used based on sentiment analysis, deep learning, and social network analysis. Generally, the innovations made by D.I. Yogyakarta have an positive impact to the satisfaction traveler and strengthen the D.I. Yogyakarta tourism brand. Even in 2021, when the Covid case reach the peak, the rating even reach the highest rating value. Increasing of the satisfaction, as an impact from the improvement of service, comfort, and cleanliness objects and amenities. Meanwhile strengthening brand and image of D.I. Yogyakarta tourism also tends to increase except for some conditions.Sektor pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor yang paling terpukul oleh pandemi Covid-19. Untuk mempercepat pemulihan pariwisata, kolaborasi stakeholder D.I. Yogyakarta melakukan serangkaian inovasi. Dari sisi supply D.I. Yogyakarta berusaha untuk melakukan perbaikan atraksi dan amenitas, mengikuti perubahan preferensi wisatawan. Untuk meningkatkan sisi demand, kolaborasi promosi pariwisata sehat juga terus digencarkan. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana efektivitas upaya-upaya pemulihan tersebut serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhinya. Selanjutnya, upaya-upaya apa yang perlu dilakukan untuk dapat mengakselerasi level kepuasan wisatawan dan meningkatkan kekuatan branding pariwisata D.I. Yogyakarta yang berujung pada peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas kunjungan wisatawan ke wilayah D.I. Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggabungkan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data primer diperoleh dari Focus Group Discussion dengan stakeholder pariwisata. Data sekunder utama yang digunakan adalah data unstructured yang diperoleh dari TripAdvisor, Twitter, dan Instagram.     Photometric Stereo Method Used for Woven Fabric Density Measurement Based on 3D Surface Structure

    The measurement of the density of woven fabrics based on the vision method has been widely developed. This study used a photometric stereo method to measure the warp and weft density of woven fabrics based on the 3D surface structure. Six 2D images of the fabric were recorded, each with a different lighting direction. The six images were then reconstructed using the unbiased photometric stereo algorithm to produce the three-dimensional surface structure. The reconstructed image was used to detect and correct the skew angle with the Hough transform. For each image, a depth profile was made toward the x-axis to get the weft curve and towards the y-axis to get the warped curve. The two depth curves were filtered using a locally weighted smoothing (LOESS) filter. This study successfully measured the density of woven fabric with an average error for warp and weft of 0.64% and 0.45%, respectively

    Examining External Dose Rates in Mamuju Regency, Indonesia: A Personal Radiation Dosimetry Approach

    This study aimed to quantify the individual external radiation exposure in Mamuju, Indonesia. A SmartRad portable personal dosimeter was utilized for this purpose, and data was collected over a period of 30 days. The findings indicate that the dose rate varies from 0.152 to 4.200 μSv/h and cumulatively ranges from 0.1 to 8.4 μSv/day based on an average measurement duration of 160 minutes. The average dose rate in areas with mineral deposits is 11.02 mSv per year. In contrast, the average effective dose in areas without radioactive mineral deposits is 2.6493 mSv per year. The annual average effective dose for individuals was measured at 6.8347 mSv. These findings imply that personal exposure to radiation among the public in Mamuju exceeds the threshold recommended by the International Commission of Radiological Protection

    Quality Analysis of Telemetry Tracking and Command at Ground Stations using the Association Rule Mining Approach

    LAPAN built several remote ground stations to support the telemetry tracking and command (TTC) system for the LAPAN-A2 and LAPAN-A3 satellites. These remote ground stations are located in Kototabang/KT (West Sumatra), Biak/BK (Papua), Parepare/PR (South Sulawesi), Rumpin/RP, Rancabungur/RB (Bogor, West Java), and Svalbard/SV (Norway). Problems that often arise in the TTC process are telecommands not being sent (commands sent from the ground station to the satellite) or telemetry packages not being received (feedback on telecommands sent by the satellite to the ground station). This research attempted to calculate and analyze the quality of TTC using a data-mining approach, i.e., rule mining. The calculations were performed using five main parameters: satellite name, ground station, azimuth, altitude, and communication status. The research output consisted of a combination of remote ground station parameters that may result in a successful or failed TTC. For the LAPAN-A3 satellite at the Svalbard ground station, 19 failed communication combinations were generated with a dataset of 57,029.     Penerapan Metode Dynamic Time Warping dan Clustering Dalam Evaluasi Kondisi Permukaan Jalan (Contoh Jalan USAID Aceh)

    Abstrak Kondisi permukaan jalan merupakan faktor yang memengaruhi kenyamanan dan keselamatan pengendara. Sehingga perlu dilakukan pemeriksaan kondisi jalan secara berkala. Pemantauan kondisi permukaan jalan di Indonesia pada umumnya masih masih dilakukan secara konvensional. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan pendekatan yang lebih efisien dalam mengukur kondisi permukaan jalan dengan menggunakan sensor accelerometer dan global positioning sistem (GPS) yang terinstall pada smartphone. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) untuk mengevaluasi kondisi permukaan jalan secara umum dan metode K-means clustering untuk mengidentifikasi lokasi anomali yang terdapat pada permukaan jalan. Data hasil perekaman kondisi permukaan jalan USAID dari SMA Negeri 1 Lhoknga sampai Pantai Lhokseudu di Provinsi Aceh (lebih kurang 16 kilometer) dianalisis pada penelitian ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa bentuk topografi jalan menurun dan menanjak cenderung memiliki kondisi yang lebih buruk dibandingkan segmen jalan yang mendatar. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa kawasan dengan kepadatan penduduk yang lebih rendah memiliki kondisi jalan yang kurang baik dibandingkan kawasan dengan kepadatan penduduk yang lebih tinggi. Metode DTW dan K-means clustering berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai metode alternatif dalam mengukur kondisi permukaan jalan yang lebih hemat tenaga, waktu dan biaya jika dibandingkan dengan pemeriksaan secara konvensional. It is necessary to examine the condition of the road on a regular basis. Monitoring of road surface conditions in Indonesia is generally still done conventionally. Therefore, this study aims to apply a more efficient approach in measuring road surface conditions using accelerometer sensors and a global positioning system (GPS) installed on a smartphone. This study employs the Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) method to evaluate general road surface conditions and the K-means clustering method to identify the location of anomalies on the road surface. Recording data of USAID road surface condition from SMA Negeri 1 Lhoknga to Lhok Seudu Beach in Aceh Province (approximately 16 kilometers) were analyzed in this study. The results of the analysis show that the topography of downhill and uphill roads tends to possess worse conditions than the horizontal road segments. In addition, the results also show that areas with lower population densities have adverse road conditions than areas with higher population densities. The DTW method and K-means clustering demonstrate the potential to be used as an alternative method in measuring road surface conditions which is more efficient in energy, time and cost when compared to conventional inspection.     Kinerja Mekanistik Campuran Beraspal dengan Mensubstitusi Agregat Kasar dengan Batu Vulkanik Merah

    Abstract The increasingly limited availability of volcanic stone in nature has caused road pavement construction materials to use black volcanic stone mixed with red volcanic stone, which is lighter in density and porous. This research aims to analyze the mechanistic performance of asphalt mixtures by substituting coarse aggregate with red volcanic stone up to a percentage of 10% at a granule size of ½", 3/8", No. 4 according to conditions in the field. The asphalt mixture is made using the marshall method. Mechanistic characteristics are obtained from indirect tensile stiffness modulus (ITSM) testing according to BS EN 12697-26: 2012, dynamic creep testing (BS EN 12697–25:2005) and indirect tensile fatigue testing (ITFT) according to BS EN 12697–24:2012 using a dynapave universal testing material (UTM) 30 test tool. The marshall characteristic values of the asphalt mixture meet the specifications of the Ministry of PUPR (2020), the stiffness characteristic increases by an average of 6.9 % for each additional substitution of 5% red volcanic stone. Deformation resistance increases with typical values of creep slope, concluding that asphalt mixtures can be used for heavy traffic loads (ESA >106). The fatigue resistance characteristics are lower (earlier to collapse) compared to without red volcanic stone substitution and there is a decrease in fatigue resistance of 2.18% for each additional 5% red volcanic stone substitution. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kinerja mekanistik campuran beraspal dengan mensubstitusi agregat kasar dengan batu vulkanik merah hingga prosentase 10% pada ukuran butiran ½”, 3/8”, No.4 sesuai dengan kondisi di lapangan. Pembuatan campuran beraspal dilakukan dengan metode marshall. Karakteristik mekanistik diperoleh dari pengujian modulus kekakuan tarik tidak langsung/Indirect Tensile Stiffness Modulus (ITSM) sesuai BS EN 12697-26: 2012, pengujian rangkak dinamis/dynamic creep (BS EN 12697–25:2005) dan pengujian kelelahan tarik tidak langsung/Indirect Tensile Fatique Test (ITFT) sesuai BS EN 12697–24:2012 menggunakan alat uji dynapave universal testing material (UTM) 30. Nilai-nilai karakteristik marshall campuran beraspal memenuhi spesifikasi Kementrian PUPR (2020), karakteristik kekakuan meningkat rata-rata 6,9% setiap penambahan substitusi 5% batu vulkanik merah. Ketahanan deformasi meningkat dengan nilai tipikal kemiringan rangkak menyimpulkan campuran beraspal dapat digunakan untuk beban lalu lintas berat (ESA >106). Karakteristik ketahanan kelelahan lebih rendah (lebih awal runtuh) dibandingkan dengan tanpa substitusi batu vulkanik merah dan terjadi penurunan ketahanan kelelahan sebesar 2,18% setiap penambahan substitusi 5% batu vulkanik merah.     Analisis Kinerja Modulus Resilien dan Ketahanan Fatigue Campuran AC-WC dengan Asbuton Murni, BNA Blend, dan Aspal Pen 60/70

    Salah satu kekayaan alam Indonesia adalah Aspal Pulau Buton di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara yang terkenal dengan sebutan asbuton. Berdasarkan penelitian dari Pusjatan pada tahun 2011 jumlah sumber material asbuton berjumlah hampir 662 ton. Jenis campuran beraspal yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah campuran lapis aus AC-WC (Asphaltic Concrete Wearing Course). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja Modulus Resilien dan ketahanan fatigue dari campuran beraspal AC-WC dengan menggunakan asbuton murni, BNA Blend, dan aspal pen. 60/70. Sesuai dengan hasil pengujian karakteristik aspal yang telah dilakukan, asbuton murni dan BNA Blend memiliki nilai penetrasi yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan aspal pen. 60/70. Hasil pengujian stabilitas menunjukkan bahwa campuran dengan BNA Blend mempunyai nilai yang paling tinggi yaitu 1432 kg, berbanding 1310 kg pada campuran dengan asbuton murni, dan berbanding 1209 kg pada campuran dengan aspal pen. 60/70. Hasil pengujian Modulus Resilien pada campuran dengan asbuton murni dan BNA Blend memiliki nilai lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan aspal pen. 60/70 pada suhu 25 °C dan 35 °C, dan hampir setara pada suhu 45 °C. Campuran AC-WC dengan BNA Blend memiliki ketahanan fatigue yang lebih baik dibandingkan campuran dengan aspal pen. 60/70, sedangkan campuran dengan asbuton murni memiliki ketahanan fatigue yang paling rendah

    Professional soccer has grown into a huge industry. It is not only about winning games but also making money. One aspect that must be considered is broadcast quality (service quality), it is important in the marketing process in the football industry, because it will relate to customer loyalty and satisfaction itself. So that with the improvement of broadcast quality will increase loyalty and satisfaction as well as attract more viewers who will contribute to the company's revenue as well as the football club through the results of the distribution of television ratings. This study aims to determine the audience's perception of the Indonesian league 1 soccer broadcast with the 2021/2022 English premier league broadcast which is one of the references for broadcast quality. this descriptive quantitative research involved soccer viewers from all over Indonesia with a sample of (N = 459), using a questionnaire. In this study, it was found that there were significant differences in results between audience perceptions of the Indonesian league 1 broadcast and the English premier league 2021/2022 season. With the best assessment of the Indonesian league 1 soccer broadcast in the visual graphics quality variable with a "medium" perception and the worst assessment is in the commercial graphics (advertising) variable during the match with a "poor" perception, while in the English premier league broadcast all variables such as image quality, camera accuracy, visual graphics quality, and commercial graphics get a "good" perception. This study aims to provide data on the quality of football broadcasts according to audience perceptions in Indonesia and get which variables need improvement in order to become evaluation material in order to improve the quality of football broadcasting in Indonesia. Bukan hanya tentang memenangkan permainan tetapi juga menghasilkan uang. Salah satu aspek yang harus diperhatikan adalah kualitas siaran(kualitas servis), hal tersebut penting dalam proses pemasaran di industri sepakbola, karena akan berhubungan dengan loyalitas dan juga kepuasan pelanggan itu sendiri. Sehingga dengan peningkatan kualitas siaran akan meningkatkan loyalitas dan kepuasan juga semakin menarik lebih banyak penonton yang akan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pendapatan perusahaan juga klub sepakbola melalui hasil pembagian rating televisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi penonton terhadap siaran sepakbola liga 1 indonesia dengan siaran liga premier inggris musim 2021/2022 yang menjadi salah satu acuan untuk suatu kualitas siaran. pada penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini melibatkan penonton sepakbola dari seluruh indonesia dengan sampel sebanyak (N=459), menggunakan kuesioner. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan perbedaan hasil yang signifikan antara persepsi penonton terhadap siaran liga 1 indonesia dan liga premier inggris musim 2021/2022. Dengan penilaian paling baik pada siaran sepakbola liga 1 indonesia di variabel kualitas grafis visual dengan persepsi “sedang” dan penilaian paling buruk terdapat pada variabel Grafis komersial(iklan) pada jalannya pertandingan dengan persepsi “buruk”, sedangkan pada siaran liga premier inggris semua variabelnya seperti kualitas gambar, ketepatan kamera, kualitas grafis visual, dan grafis komersial mendapatkan persepsi “baik”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan data tentang kualitas siaran sepakbola menurut persepsi penonton di indonesia serta mendapatkan variabel mana yang perlu perbaikan agar dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi dalam rangka peningkatan kualitas penyiaran sepakbola di indonesia.
