PELAKSANAAN LAYANAN KONSELING KRISIS UNTUK MENGATASI TRAUMA KORBAN BULLYING DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki pelaksanaan layanan konseling krisis dalam penanganan trauma pada korban bullying di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan. Metode studi kepustakaan merupakan suatu pendekatan penelitian yang melibatkan pengumpulan informasi yang relevan terkait dengan permasalahan yang sedang diteliti. Informasi tersebut bisa berasal dari buku, karya ilmiah, ensiklopedia, jurnaljurnal, internet, serta sumber yang lain. Implementasi konseling krisis untuk menangani trauma korban bullying di SMA melibatkan serangkaian langkah, termasuk membangun hubungan, menilai status dan risiko, memberikan dukungan emosional, sosial, informasional, dan fisik, mengeksplorasi alternatif, merencanakan tindakan, dan memastikan komitmen, serta menyediakan sumber daya dan kontak tindak lanjut. Selain menjalankan proses tersebut, konselor yang menangani siswa harus memiliki profesionalisme, pengalaman, dan pengetahuan yang memadai, mengingat konseling krisis memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dengan konseling konvensional
Manipulative and Possessive: Exposing Jacqueline de Bellefort's Character
This study analyzes the ego defense mechanisms as well as the possessiveness and manipulative behavior of the character Jacqueline de Bellefort in the novel Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie. Jacqueline is shown as a character who is obsessed with her former fiancé, Simon Doyle, and exhibits extremely possessive and manipulative behavior after she marries Linnet Ridgeway. This study uses data analysis of qualitative research with text-oriented approach. Using psychoanalytic theory by Sigmund Freud, this study explores how Jacqueline uses ego defense mechanisms such as rationalization, projection, denial, and regression to deal with jealousy and rejection. The research reveals that Jacqueline's manipulative and possessive actions are a result of her internal conflict and inability to deal with her emotional reality, which ultimately drives her to extreme measures. The analysis is designed to provide broad understanding of Jacqueline De Bellefort and how she lives in defense mechanism
Culturally Responsive Teaching In Thai Classroom Settings: A Perspective From Indonesian Educators
A culturally responsive teaching approach is best applied in classes where students have different cultural backgrounds. This research aims to find out how culturally responsive teaching in Thai classroom settings: a perspective from Indonesian educators. Therefore, this research methodology used a qualitative research strategy with the interview method as the main data collection technique. This research used semi-structured interviews, accepting three Indonesian teachers who had experience teaching in Thailand. This research also aims to determine the implementation and dynamics of culturally sensitive practices in Thai classrooms with special reference to the process of cultural assimilation in learning institutions. So from the results of this research, the researchers found 5 categories, namely: a. Teaching Experience in Thailand and its distinct difference from other countries. b. Integration of Thai Cultural Aspects in Teaching. c. Challenges in Implementing Culturally Responsive Approach. d. Student Response to Culturally Responsive Teaching Approach. e. Suggestions or Recommendations for Other Teachers. The findings of this research are useful for educational practitioners and stakeholders as well as researchers who have a desire to teach thoughtfully in the context of Thai culture or other similar cultural environments
ANALISIS METODE PEMBELAJARAN TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR BACA TULIS AL-QURAN SISWA SDI PESANGGRAHAN SEMARANG TIMUR
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan pembelajaran baca tulis Al-Quran yang dilakukan oleh SD Islam Pesanggrahan pada peserta didik kelas V. karena untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar diperlukan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan tidak membosankan bagi peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengambil data sesuai yang terjadi di lapangan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dan disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan pedoman observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dari hasil penelitian ini adalah SD Islam Pesanggrahan menggunakan metode qiroati. Selain itu, juga menggunakan metode klasikal dan individual. Dari penerapan metode tersebut diketahui bahwa peserta didik yang mempunyai motivasi belajar yang sangat tinggi ada sebanyak 19 peserta didik (85%) dari jumalah kelas V ada 22 peserta didik. Penerapan metode qiroati dalam pembelajaran baca tulis Al-Quran pada kelas V di SD Islam Pesanggrahan dapat dikatakan berhasil dikarenakan motivasi belajar peserta didik tersebut mencapai kategori yang sangat tinggi
URGENSI MANAJEMEN DALAM PELAYANAN BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING
Permasalahan terkait dengan manajemen pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah masih ditemukan dari berbagai sudut permasalahan, hal ini tergambarkan berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi antara lain, tugas guru bimbingan dan konseling yang tidak sesuai, aturan terkait siswa asuh guru bimbingan dan konseling, pelaksanaan dari segi waktu bimbingan konseling di sekolah, sehingga permasalahan yang terjadi ini dapat membuat pelaksanaan manajemen pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah tidak sesuai dengan tujuan atau visi misi pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah. Maka dari itu perlu aturan yang berlaku dan struktur pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah yang sistematis menggunakan konsep manajamen pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan secara naratif terkait urgensi/pentingnya manajemen pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni tinjauan Pustaka (literature review) dengan metode naratif. Hasil pemabahasan bahwasanya pelaksanaan manajemen pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling perlu menggunakan prinsip-prinsip manajemen yakni POAC, kemudian didukung oleh kerjasama seluruh stakeholder sekolah dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. Saran dari hasil penelitian ini, agar peneliti selanjutnya yang ingin meneliti terkait manajemen pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah dapat menggunakan jenis penelitian lainnya dan menjelaskan hasil temuannya dengan metode lain yang relevan dengan tujuan penelitian
Enhancing EFL Students’ Oral Proficiency: The ChatGPT-Assisted Debate Clinic Method
The low level of students’ English oral proficiency was caused by inappropriate learning methods and the lack of a conducive English learning environment created by lecturers. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the ChatGPT-assisted debate clinic approach to enhance students’ oral proficiency in English. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach with a true-experimental design (pretest–posttest control group design). The population involved in this study consisted of third-semester students from the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at STAI DDI Pinrang, Indonesia. The total population was 45 students, and the study sample was 29 students, selected using a total sampling technique. The statistical test results show that the significance values (Asymp. Sig. and Exact Sig.) are very small (0.000), indicating high statistical significance (p < 0.05). This means that there is a significant difference between the post-test data of the two groups. Therefore, teaching English through the ChatGPT-assisted debate clinic method can effectively enhance students’ oral proficiency
Guidance and Counseling Study Program Students’ Perception towards Bahasa Inggris Course
The research objective was to find out, to analyze and to describe guidance and counseling study program students’ perception towards Bahasa Inggris course learnt. Type of the research was quantitative descriptive analysis. The number of research participants was 45 students. The method used in collecting and analyzing data was by using quantitative approach and descriptive analysis which was presented by a variety of means and Likert Scale, collected through instrument that was questionnaire distributed to students with 25 statements. As research finding, students’ perception towards Bahasa Inggris course was ‘disagree’ with the obtained grand mean was 1.907 scored range 1.81-2.60 of Likert Scale. The finding was supported by the frequency of highest dominant scale was neutral which was more than a half of 25 statements and the choice of statements described students’ readiness was unprepared that were caused by two factors, either internally and externally. In conclusions, students’ perception indicates negative since most of students chose ‘neutral and disagree’ scales if it was compared to ‘strongly agree and agree’ scales towards the statements about Bahasa Inggris course
Learning Speaking English on YouTube Videos: A Study on Students’ Perception
Media is essential to support learning activities, as they can capture the students’ attention when the learning process takes place. YouTube is one of the media that the students can pick anytime, especially for learning speaking. Therefore, the aim of this research is trying to explore the students’ perception on the use of YouTube Videos in learning speaking. This research uses a mixed-method design, and the data are collected using questionnaire and an interview. 30 students from public speaking course participated to fill out the questionnaire; 10 of them are interviewed to gain deeper information. After analysing the data using Likert Scale, the results shows that the students’ perception on the use of YouTube is significantly positive toward their learning. Based on the mean score, their opinion and interpretation about using YouTube videos are in good category or (4,22) and (4,13). From the interview, the result reinforces their exciting and enthusiasm in learning using YouTube videos. It means YouTube videos is favorable for learning particularly English speaking
Analysing Bibliometrics Trends: The Flipped Classroom Approach in Foreign Language Learning
This study aimed to investigate the adoption of the FC model for EFL learning. It considers research articles in the various journals and databases with ORCHID and Crossref indices between 2019 and 2023. Data analysis, for research trend mapping comparatively, used Vosviewer. This included especially recognizing the keywords that are in use nowadays, the articles and journals that are most cited, and the countries and institutions that are most influential. The result presented some interesting issues as follows.1) the countries with the highest link of collaborations were Malaysia, Iran, China, and Indonesia, while the most cited countries were Indonesia, Iran, China, Turkey and Malaysia. 2) The most used keywords in research on FC in EFL learning formed into four clusters. The most strength links were ‘flipped classroom’, ‘flipped learning’, ‘pedagogy’, ‘foreign language learning’, ‘COVID’ and ‘autonomous learning’. 3) The most used words in titles and abstracts form into 3 clusters with 'effect', 'perception', 'challenge', and 'COVID' being the most strength links 4) The most referenced authors include Zainuddin with 76 citations from 6 articles, Abdullah with 62 citations from 2 articles and Öztürk with 50 citations from 2 articles. 6) the most cited journals were the International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning (IJET)
Effectiveness of Contextual Guessing Strategy on Reading Comprehension in Indonesian EFL Pre-University Students: A Mixed-Methods Study
This study examines the effectiveness of contextual guessing strategies in enhancing reading comprehension among Indonesian pre-university EFL students in Parepare. The research targeted students preparing for university entrance exams, employing a mixed-methods approach with a quantitative-driven design. A purposive sampling technique selected 30 pre-university students from various high schools in Parepare. Quantitative analysis of multiple-choice test scores before and after a targeted intervention, which trained students to use contextual clues (e.g., roots, prefixes, and suffixes) to infer meanings of unfamiliar words, demonstrated a significant improvement in reading comprehension (t(29) = 12.24, p < 0.05). Qualitative insights from interviews with these students revealed increased confidence, practical relevance, and engagement with texts. Students reported that these strategies helped them approach reading tasks analytically, manage their time effectively during exams, and reduce reliance on dictionaries. The findings underscore the critical role of contextual guessing strategies in EFL instruction, promoting effective reading skills and academic success for pre-university students in Indonesia. Integrating these strategies into the curriculum can substantially enhance reading comprehension and exam performance
