Some peculiar garnets of the Tengumori skarn ore deposit, the Kamaishi Mine
Three peculiar garnet species in skarn from the Tengumori ore deposit of the Kamaishi Mine are briefly described. The pisolitic garnet has a composition close to andradite endmember and occurs as large crystals up to several cm in diameter, which is an unusual occurrence for a skarn mineral. Black garnet is a blackish-brown colored andradite, but it contains little Ti and H2O, which cause the coloring. Its chemical composition deviates from stoichiometric ratios, which is assumed to be a cause of coloring. The vein-forming grandite garnets crystallized formed after the fracturing of the skarn zone have the highest optical anisotropy of all the garnets from the skarn zone in the Kamaishi Mine. This characteristic of grandite garnets indicates that the skarn-forming temperature of the Tengumori ore deposit is the lowest in the Kamaishi Minedepartmental bulletin pape
Is Semipoverty’s Wellbeing Equal? : Statistical Analyses of Social Stratification and Life Course Survey 2018(SSL-2018)
この論文は,貧困層と一般層のあいだで両者に隣接する準貧困層が,ウェルビーイングにおいて他のグループと平等なのか,不平等だとしたらどこに分断があるのか,というリサーチクエスチョンを検討する.そのために,2018年社会階層とライフコース全国調査(SSL-2018)をデータとしてもちいた(2018年にランダムサンプリングで実施,有効回収数1126人,有効回収率40.2%).現在の幸福感,人生の階段,生活満足度,健康の4つの主観的ウェルビーイングを従属変数とした.分散分析,カイ二乗検定の結果,ウェルビーイングには不平等があり,一般層がもっとも高く,準貧困層,貧困層へと悪化した.多重比較の結果,準貧困層が貧困層とサブグループを形成し,準貧困層と一般層のあいで分断ができることがあった.ただし,準貧困層と貧困層のあいだに分断はなかった.準貧困層であってもなくても,分断なくサステナブルな幸せを追求できる──そうした社会の実現のために,準貧困層に固有のリスク解明が求められる.departmental bulletin pape

Total Chemical Synthesis of Unnatural Antifreeze Glycoproteins for the elucidation of the function of Glycans
Antifreeze glycoprotein (AFGP) is highly O-glycosylated proteins with a specific disaccharide (GalGalNAc). To elucidate the function of the sugar residues for antifreeze activity, we conducted a total chemical synthesis of unnatural forms of AFGPs incorporating glucose (Glc)-type sugars instead of galactose (Gal)-type sugars. These elaborated AFGP derivatives revealed that the stereochemistry of each sugar residue on AFGPs precisely regulate she antifreeze activity through forming dynamic behavior of water phase around the sugar residues.departmental bulletin pape
