    Enhancing Digital Pedagogy and Creativity: Generative AI, Video Avatars, and Personalized Learning in Online Education

    This chapter explores the transformative potential of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in online education, particularly within learning management systems (LMS). By leveraging AI to create dynamic instructional content—including videos, images, and texts—this chapter highlights how these tools can enhance creativity and engagement in digital learning environments. A focal point is the innovative use of video avatars, which utilize generative AI to produce interactive and personalized teaching personas. These avatars offer a scalable and individualized alternative to conventional pedagogical methods. Additionally, the chapter examines AI\u27s role in designing assignments, rubrics, and interactive simulations aimed at improving student engagement and learning outcomes. AI-assisted grading is presented to reduce instructor workload while providing personalized feedback. The ability of AI to autonomously analyze course objectives and suggest relevant assignments and evaluation metrics is also investigated. The integration of generative AI technologies, particularly video avatars, presents a significant opportunity to revolutionize the delivery and effectiveness of online education. This chapter posits that such advancements not only create a more engaging learning environment but also substantially elevate the quality of instruction and educational outcomes

    Assessment of Current Online Sexual Child Abuse Research

    As the virtual world continues to expand, online sexual child abuse (OSCA) is becoming an increasingly urgent issue, with various forms of technological exploitation, such as nonconsensual image misuse and coerced image recruitment, emerging as methods of harm. A national survey conducted by the University of New Hampshire found that 16% of young adults in the United States reported experiencing at least one form of online sexual abuse before turning 18. However, victims of OSCA often delay disclosure, sometimes not coming forward until years later. This delay is often due to fear of the offender discovering the disclosure, feelings of shame, or the belief that the abuse was not severe enough. Because of underreporting, accurately determining prevalence rates is challenging. In-depth research into this problem highlights the need for further investigation into OSCA’s prevalence, the methods perpetrators use to target victims, the psychological and social impact on survivors, and the barriers that prevent disclosure and reporting

    Imagining Differences: An Exploration of the Visual Imagery Spectrum

    Mental imagery, or more specifically, visual imagery, plays a significant role in human life. For this reason, this paper aims to examine the many aspects of visual imagery with a special focus on inherent differences between individuals. This paper explores the idea of what visual imagery is and how it is represented, from the in-between of the spectrum of visual imagery, to the extreme ends, where lies the conditions of aphantasia and hyperphantasia. This paper covers the core cognitive processes involved in visual imagery and the parts of the brain responsible for them. The idea of measurement and assessment is also delved into, and the issues with current measurement techniques discussed, including self-report measures and performance-based tests. Highlighting gaps in the current research, this paper calls for more research aimed at understanding individual differences within all aspects of visual imagery. Finally, the application of visual imagery into settings such as education, clinical, and cognitive psychological research is discussed

    Navigating Copyright in AI-Enhanced Game Design: Legal Challenges in Multimodal and Dynamic Content Creation

    The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in video game design has transformed traditional workflows, allowing for the generation of text, images, music, videos, and code at unprecedented scales. However, this advancement presents complex challenges for copyright law, traditionally rooted in human originality and authorship. This article examines recent case law that underscores the evolving legal landscape, exploring landmark cases such as Zarya of the Dawn and Andersen v. Stability AI. These cases reveal the tensions between AI-generated outputs and copyright eligibility, especially in the dynamic, multimodal compositions inherent to video games. The review analyzes how various AI tools are employed across the stages of game development—from design documentation to character modeling, soundtrack composition, and cinematic sequences—and the legal uncertainties surrounding each. Emphasis is placed on the role of human input in determining copyright eligibility, proposing that human-AI co-creation models and enhanced metadata standards may offer pathways to reconcile AI-driven innovation with intellectual property protections. As video games exemplify the unique challenges in AI-generated, temporally interactive works, this study calls for a nuanced copyright framework that acknowledges both technological capabilities and the irreplaceable contribution of human creativity. The findings advocate for policy adaptations that align legal protections with the realities of AI-integrated creative processes, ensuring a balanced approach that supports both innovation and creator rights

    Beyond Phonics: Neuroaesthetic and Symbolic Divergence in Culturally Responsive Dyslexia Screening

    Recent advances in neuroscience and educational technology have challenged the traditional phonological-deficit model of dyslexia, revealing the profound influence of visual-symbolic processing, neuroaesthetic resonance, and cultural context in the reading brain. This article interrogates prevailing assessment paradigms by synthesizing research on the Visual Word Form Area (VWFA), cross-linguistic literacy systems, and emerging neurodiversity frameworks. The study addresses the urgent need to reconceptualize dyslexia as a heterogeneous divergence in symbolic processing—rooted as much in neuroaesthetic and visuospatial alignment as in phonemic awareness. Existing screeners, predominantly optimized for English and other Latin-based scripts, systematically neglect the cognitive realities of learners in multilingual and script-diverse societies, notably India, where more than 20 official scripts coexist and pedagogical infrastructure remains limited. Through an interdisciplinary review of neuroscience, visual culture, eye-tracking, typography, and cross-script cognition, we introduce the NeuroSymbolic Pattern Model (NSPM) as a new framework for inclusive, technology-enhanced dyslexia screening. Drawing on technological innovations such as AI-driven eye-tracking and neuroadaptive interfaces, the paper advocates for multimodal, script-responsive, and strength-based assessments. By decentering Anglocentric norms and integrating positive language approaches, this research advances a global, precision-education agenda capable of supporting neurodivergent learners across linguistic and cultural divides. The significance of this study lies in its call for educational equity, diagnostic accuracy, and embracing cognitive diversity as a foundational principle in the design of next-generation literacy screening tools
