This project will investigate the way that digital video content is created and distributed with the creation of social media, and how it can be used for marketing. The final deliverable is a website broken down into many different topics to support the thesis statement. The website will include video content and photographs, in addition to written information, to provide readers with visual examples

Beatrice Wanjiku: A Portrait of Human Vulnerability
Abstract artist Beatrice Wanjiku uses an anatomical composition to illustrate a sense of vulnerability, an element of human identity, in relation to one’s social environment. Going beyond the skin, Untitled excavates the mental and emotional aspects of the human condition and gives expression to experience. By observing her figural composition, examining the foundation of identity theory, and interpreting her use of abstraction, I will describe how Untitled speaks to a message of connectivity through a portrait of human vulnerability. This thesis argues that one’s environment affects the individual and exemplifies how vulnerability is seen as a pervasive aspect of human identity
1785 Parisian Salon Project: New Methods and Practical Innovations in Digital Heritage Reconstruction
The 1785 Salon Unreal Engine Reconstruction Project represents a significant advance in digital heritage and immersive art historical research by combining generative AI-based asset creation, modular user experience (UX) design, and historically informed workflows. During the Spring 2025 phase, the project achieved major milestones, including the successful development of a replicable pipeline for transforming 2D reference images into period-accurate 3D sculpture models using generative AI and digital sculpting tools. Simultaneously, a robust and adaptable Inspection System was engineered within Unreal Engine, offering granular interaction controls, bilingual (English/French) content integration, dynamic metadata display, and enhanced accessibility. These innovations collectively enabled historically faithful reconstruction of lost or dispersed artworks, while also establishing open-source methodologies and protocols for scalable virtual exhibition environments. By documenting stepwise processes for asset generation, UI system design, and troubleshooting, the project demonstrates a new standard for collaborative, reproducible digital heritage work, facilitating the responsible digital resurrection of cultural spaces and supporting broader accessibility and engagement with the art historical record
Presence Through Absence: The Ark of the Covenant and the Aniconic Image of God in Early Israelite Religious Art
This thesis investigates the Ark of the Covenant as a paradoxical visual and theological artifact within early Israelite religious art. While the Israelite tradition has long been characterized as aniconic (eschewing anthropomorphic representations of the divine) the Ark occupied a central role in ritual, worship, and religious identity. Prior scholarship has focused either on the Ark’s narrative function in biblical texts or its formal attributes as a cultic object. However, limited attention has been given to how the Ark embodies divine presence through the visual strategy of absence. This study argues that the Ark does not merely avoid figural representation but instead offers a sophisticated visual theology in which sacred space and material form mediate divine encounter without depiction. By integrating art historical analysis with cognitive theory and comparative Near Eastern iconography, this thesis positions the Ark as both an object of sensory engagement and a theological assertion of God’s unrepresentability. It thus proposes that the Ark served as a cognitive anchor for early Israelite conceptualizations of the divine—bridging visual culture and theological abstraction in ways that redefined the “image of God” in early Israelite religious art as something encountered rather than seen

Digital Resurrection of Thonis-Heracleion: Technological Advances in Underwater Archaeology and a Speculative AI-driven Reconstruction Methodology
This article synthesizes past archaeological research on the submerged Egyptian city of Thonis-Heracleion, critically reviewing excavations and technological interventions deployed since its rediscovery by Franck Goddio and the IEASM team. Situated approximately 10 meters beneath Aboukir Bay near Alexandria, the city represents a significant nexus of Greek and Egyptian cultural heritage, vividly documented in classical sources such as Herodotus and Strabo. Prior excavations have recovered temple complexes, colossal statues, ritual artifacts, and an extensive array of ancient shipwrecks, mapping only a fraction of the extensive site. These investigations utilized pioneering geophysical methods, including multibeam sonar, side-scan sonar, and photogrammetry, establishing a comprehensive baseline for underwater exploration. Reviewing global advances in digital archaeology reveals transformative potential for emerging technologies—namely high-resolution underwater laser scanning, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), and AI-driven analytic frameworks such as neural networks for artifact identification and virtual reconstruction. To advance the Thonis-Heracleion project, this article proposes an interdisciplinary speculative research design integrating sonar and photogrammetric mapping, high-precision laser scanning, AI-assisted interpretation of architectural and textual remains, and immersive digital visualization strategies. This integrative approach leverages computational modeling, procedural reconstruction, and generative adversarial networks (GANs) to hypothesize missing features of the ancient city. Ultimately, the proposed methodology aims to digitally reconstruct Thonis-Heracleion in unprecedented detail, establishing a dynamic, interactive archaeological resource accessible across academic research, heritage conservation, and public engagement domains
