    Polymorphism of the Aromatase Enzyme Gene at the rs700519 Site and Its Relationship with Some Biochemical Variables in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

    Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is identified as one of the most common hormonal disturbances that can affect females in their reproductive period, having significant implications on fertility observable during the reproductive span and post-menopause (Hanan et al., 2020). This study was designed to decipher the relationship between PCOS and the polymorphism of the aromatase gene at the rs700519 locus along with certain biochemical variables. The research comprised 50 blood samples from women afflicted with PCOS and 25 samples from non-afflicted women, spanning an age range of 16 to 45 years. Additionally, the study involved exploring the polymorphisms of the aromatase gene (CYP19A1) concerning SNPs rs700519 in both afflicted and non-afflicted women. The electrophoretic analysis of the PCR product on a 1% agarose gel for the aromatase gene (CYP19A1) indicated the presence of three genetic patterns (GG, GA, AA). The allele frequency for the aromatase gene SNP CYP19A1 (rs700519) in women with and without PCOS revealed values of 0.49 and 0.54 for the G allele, and 0.51 and 0.46 for the A allele, respectively. The genetic patterns did not exhibit any significant predisposition, with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 0.818 for the mutant A allele at the CYP19A1 rs700519 locu

    Predicting Financial Failure Using The Bankometer S-Score Model. A Study of A Sample of Iraqi Private Banks

    Abstract the research aims to verify the suitability of the Bankometer S-Score model for predicting financial failure in Iraqi financial institutions. A number of private Iraqi banks that were placed under the tutelage of the Central Bank of Iraq were chosen to be the research sample, and the reason for selecting this sample was to verify the accuracy of the Bankometer S-Score model in predicting financial failure. As for the temporal limits of the research, it was between 2017 and 2018, a period that reflects the continued tutelage of the Central Bank of Iraq over these banks. The research concluded that the Bankometer model can be adopted to predict financial failure in Iraqi financial institutions because the S-Score of the research sample banks was within the standard limit of S < 50, which indicates the state of financial hardship and is identical to the financial problems experienced by the banks of the research sample that were the reason for placing them under Central bank tutelage. Here, the research hypothesis can be accepted

    The Impact of Internal Control on Increasing The Efficiency of The Iraqi Private Banks

    The aim of the study is to highlight the importance of internal control in boosting business efficiency is highlighted by the current study. Internal control is the cornerstone on which the business depends to ensure that operations are effective and efficient, that information is of high quality, and that laws, rules, and policies are being followed. On the other hand, it also guards against and manages risks that might interfere with achieving goals. Data collection and analysis the questionnaire was created by the researcher with 60 correct questionnaires distributed over 6 banks. The study then identifies the most efficient internal control system and suggests ways to boost business efficiency. Population and sampling an online survey were used to get opinions from a sample of accountants working for private banks in Iraq in order to accomplish the research goal and test the hypotheses. The study analyzes the study variables and tests the hypotheses using descriptive statistical analysis (SPSS). The study\u27s most significant findings were that internal control covers all the various security measures used by the business to give reasonable assurance that the goals will be met. In other words, by implementing an effective and efficient internal control system, a business is better prepared to accomplish its objectives and stay clear of traps and unforeseen circumstances

    Association Between Critical-Care Nurses’ Attitudes, Knowledge, and Barriers of Pressure Ulcers With Their Demographical Variables

    When the force applied to a particular place of the body exceeds the pressure that the capillaries there can withstand, a pressure ulcer will develop. In some circumstances, even a negligibly little pressure may be sufficient to obstruct blood flow and reduce oxygenation of the surrounding tissues. In patients who are extremely unwell, this can result in the development of a pressure ulcer in as little as two to six hours To assess knowledge, attitudes, and barriers among critical-care nurses on pressure ulcer prevention with their demographical variables  A non-probability (purposive) sampling of (130) nurses working in the intensive care unit has been conducted. The study employed The researcher employed a 30-item self-administrated questionnaire to gauge nurses\u27 level of expertise in pressure ulcer prevention. Age, gender, degree of education, years of experience, and specific guidelines for pressure ulcers were among the features of the study subjects. The 5-point scale was utilized in the attitudes and barriers questionnaire. However, the scoring mechanism for the Likert scale model is not much different from the three-point scales, with greater scores going to attitudes with higher levels of positivity and obstacles.   The current study features a descriptive cross-sectional quantitative design.     Image Document Classification Prediction based on SVM and gradient-boosting Algorithms

    Image document classification is crucial in various domains, including healthcare, finance, and security. Automatically categorizing images into predefined classes can significantly improve data management and decision-making processes. For this research, we investigate the effectiveness of two machine learning algorithms, Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Gradient Boosting, for image document classification. First, we preprocess the image data by extracting relevant features, such as Image Embedding, to create a feature vector for each image. These features are essential for representing the content of the images accurately. Next, we apply SVM, a robust supervised learning algorithm, to train a classification model. SVM aims to Determine the optimal hyperplane for effectively distinguishing the images into different classes while maximizing the margin. Furthermore, we explore the Gradient Boosting algorithm, an ensemble learning method combining multiple weak learners to create a robust classifier. We experimented with different classification results with ten classes. We employ Multiple measures, including accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC, are used to assess the performance of the SVM and Gradient Boosting models. The higher result of 0.964 for SVM compared with Adaboost is achieved. 0.853.&nbsp

    Image Fake News Prediction Based on Random Forest and Gradient-boosting Methods

    The internet technology of today makes it challenging to spread false information, particularly through photos, including fake news. In this study, fake news is identified and predicted using photos that have been altered or misrepresented. Effective detection systems are crucial because of the proliferation of false information that images might spread due to the use of image modification tools and social media. This paper provides a thorough analysis of fake news based on images. Among the main research areas are machine learning for classification models and image data embedding (feature extraction). Our novel methodology forecasts fake news in the form of altered or misleading photographs by using Random Forest and gradient-boosting algorithms to detect visual alterations such as picture editing and image synthesis. This research leverages massive image datasets from news channels and social media to train and assess predictive algorithms.  Our results demonstrate that our method has strong recall and precision in identifying image-based fake news. We also discuss practical applications and real-time detection, such building tools to combat misinformation on social media and in news organizations. At 0.968 with 0.997, Gradient Boosting performs better than Random Forest.&nbsp

Traditional digital signal processing (DSP) methodologies, while widely adopted, may inadvertently overlook the inherent nuances and intricacies of DNA sequences. This paper critically examines these established DSP-centric methodologies, underscoring their potential inadequacies in capturing the salient characteristics intrinsic to DNA. Notably, nucleotides within the DNA exhibit distinct attributes, such as their triadic configurations, specific structural significance, and particularized density distributions in codons, among other characteristics. By harnessing these inherent features of nucleotides, computational approaches can effectively counteract signal disruptions, enhancing the precision in identifying protein coding regions

    Relationship between nurses\u27 performance and their demographic characteristics

    Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of nurses\u27 sociodemographic factors, such as age, gender, level of education, years of experience, time shift, and marital status on their performance. Methodology: A descriptive (correlational) research design was used. This study was conducted in Najaf city hospitals conducted between The study has been conducted between 8 August 2022 and 27 July 2023. A non-probability (convenience) technique was used to collect data. The study subjects included (350) staff nurses working in all units of selected hospitals. Results: results of the current study indicate that there is a non-significant relationship between the overall assessment of Performance and nurses\u27 demographic data. Conclusion: The study shows there is not a statistically significant relationship between nurses\u27 socio-demographic data and their performance
