Unveiling English Speaking Competence: A Portrait of First-Semester Students in the Foreign Language Development Program
This research delves into the English-speaking competence of first-semester students enrolled in the Foreign Language Development Program (FLDP) at IAIN Madura. Through a survey of 279 students across four faculties, the study investigates the current state of English-speaking proficiency and identifies factors influencing it. The findings reveal that a majority of students self-rate their speaking skills as basic, with limitations in vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence hindering their fluency. This highlights the need for targeted interventions, including increased speaking practice, vocabulary instruction, and a supportive classroom environment to enhance students' English-speaking competence and prepare them for academic and professional communication in a globalized world. The study identifies key factors influencing speaking fluency, including lack of self-confidence, low motivation, and limited prior exposure to English. It emphasizes the importance of addressing these factors through effective language instruction, incorporating task-based learning, communicative approaches, and providing adequate institutional support. The research underscores the need for a comprehensive approach to language instruction that prioritizes increased speaking practice, vocabulary instruction, and a supportive classroom environment to improve students' English-speaking competence and prepare them for the demands of academic and professional communication in a globalized world
Implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila di PAUD Al-Azhar Pagendingan Kecamatan Galis Kabupaten Pamekasan
This study aims to examine the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project which was carried out at PAUD Al-Azhar Pagendingan, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency with two main focuses. First, regarding the Implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project Activities, and second, How to Build Early Childhood Ideals through Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project Activities. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive type of research. The data collection techniques used in this study use interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis using. data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. Data validation using triangulation. Building children's ideals can be done through a series of activities of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) which means, among others, carrying out the initial stage, development stage and the preliminary stage. The implementation of Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile encourages children to have the desire and enthusiasm to learn in order to build ideals and understand the importance of the profession as a form of contributing to nation building, which ultimately strengthens the dimension of Pancasila character and national values through an active, meaningful, collaborative and fun learning environment.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang dilaksanakan di PAUD Al-Azhar Pagendingan Kecamatan Galis Kabupaten Pamekasan dengan dua fokus utama. Pertama, mengenai Implementasi Kegiatan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, dan kedua, Cara Membangun Cita-Cita Anak Usia Dini Melalui Kegiatan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan. reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarik kesimpulan. Validasi data menggunakan triangulasi. Membangun cita-cita anak dapat dialakukan melaui rangkain kegiatan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) yang bermakna, diantaranya, melakukan tahap permulaan, tahap perkembangan dan tahap penyimpula. Penerapan Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, mendorong anak memiliki keinginan dan semangat belajar guna membangun cita-cita dan memahami pentingnya profesi sebagai bentuk berkontribusi terhadap pembangunan bangsa, yang pada akhirnya memperkuat dimensi karakter Pancasila dan nilai-nilai nasional melalui lingkungan belajar yang aktif, bermakna, kolaboratif dan menyenangkan
Analisis Aspek Perkembangan Anak Usia Dini dalam Perspektif Agama Islam
This research aims to analyze aspects of early childhood development from a religious perspective. Early childhood development includes various dimensions, such as physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual development, all of which interact and influence each other. Religious perspectives play an important role in forming moral, ethical and spiritual values in children from an early age. In this context, religion not only functions as a moral foundation, but also as a guide in forming children's character and identity. This approach sees that child development does not only involve physical and intellectual aspects, but also spiritual aspects related to knowing God, forming morals, and developing emotional and social intelligence within the framework of religious teachings. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis, which examines various references from holy books, opinions of ulama, as well as relevant religious education studies. The research results show that religious education from an early age can accelerate the process of children's moral and spiritual development, improve social skills, and form good character, which will be the foundation for their success in the future.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aspek perkembangan anak usia dini dalam perspektif agama. Perkembangan anak usia dini mencakup berbagai dimensi, seperti perkembangan fisik, kognitif, sosial, emosional, dan spiritual, yang semuanya saling berinteraksi dan mempengaruhi satu sama lain. Perspektif agama memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk nilai-nilai moral, etika, dan spiritual pada anak sejak dini. Dalam konteks ini, agama tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai landasan moral, tetapi juga sebagai pembimbing dalam pembentukan karakter dan identitas anak. Pendekatan ini melihat bahwa perkembangan anak tidak hanya melibatkan aspek fisik dan intelektual, tetapi juga aspek spiritual yang berkaitan dengan pengenalan Tuhan, pembentukan akhlak, serta pengembangan kecerdasan emosional dan sosial dalam kerangka ajaran agama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis literatur, yang mengkaji berbagai referensi dari kitab-kitab suci, pendapat ulama, serta kajian-kajian pendidikan agama yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan agama sejak usia dini dapat mempercepat proses perkembangan moral dan spiritual anak, meningkatkan keterampilan sosial, serta membentuk karakter yang baik, yang akan menjadi landasan bagi kesuksesan mereka di masa depan
Pengaruh Kinerja Keuangan Terhadap Tingkat Kepercayaan Muzakki Untuk Membayar Zakat Profesi: Mampukah Kualitas Pelayanan Memoderasi? (Studi Kasus BAZNAS Kabupaten Sampang)
This study aims to examine and analyze financial performance which includes transparency of financial statements, financial accountability, and competence in managing funds on the level of muzakki's trust in paying professional zakat moderated by quality of service. This study uses a quantitative method with a causality approach. Data collection used questionnaires with accidental sampling techniques to ASNs in Sampang Regency. The data obtained is then processed through SPSS. Testing the variable starts from the multiple linear regression test, then the moderated multiple linear regression test. The results showed that the transparency of financial reports, financial accountability, and fund management competence had a significant effect on the level of muzakki's trust, as well as service quality had a significant effect but were unable to moderate the transparency of financial reports, financial accountability, and fund management competence on the level of muzakki's trust to pay professional zakat at BAZNAS Sampang Regency.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis kinerja keuangan yang meliputi transparansi laporan keuangan, akuntabilitas keuangan, dan kompetensi dalam mengelola dana terhadap tingkat kepercayaan muzakki dalam membayar zakat profesi yang dimoderasi oleh kualitas layanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausalitas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan teknik accidental sampling kepada ASN di Kabupaten Sampang. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diolah melalui SPSS. Pengujian variabel dimulai dari uji regresi linier berganda, kemudian uji regresi linier berganda yang dimoderasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transparansi laporan keuangan, akuntabilitas keuangan, dan kompetensi pengelolaan dana berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat kepercayaan muzakki, begitu pula kualitas layanan berpengaruh signifikan tetapi tidak mampu memoderasi transparansi laporan keuangan, akuntabilitas keuangan, dan kompetensi pengelolaan dana terhadap tingkat kepercayaan muzakki dalam membayar zakat profesi di BAZNAS Kabupaten Sampang
Model Sinektik Berorientasi Experiential Learning dalam Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Cerita Pendek Inspiratif di SMA
Masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini mengenai pembinaan kemampuan menulis teks naratif singkat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami dan memaknai secara mendalam terkait model sinektik yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran menulis teks cerita pendek inspiratif melalui pengalaman. Metode yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan dan memproses data penelitian yaitu kajian pustaka dari buku cetak, buku elektronik, dan jurnal. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman terkait: rasional; tujuan; prinsip; tahapan; dan dampak dari model sinektik berorientasi pengalaman dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerita pendek inspiratif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini, yaitu: model sinektik berorientasi pengalaman dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerita pendek inspiratif bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai instrumen yang efektif pada lingkup pembelajaran bermakna melalui proses edukasi secara terstruktur, sehingga peserta didik mampu menghasilkan cerita pendek inspiratif melalui pengalaman yang dapat membangkitkan motivasi pribadi dan khalayak penikmat, serta berpotensi menjadi mahakarya terintegrasi jika dilibatkan dalam ajang cipta cerita pendek Nasional dengan karya terpublikasi.The problem raised in this research concerns developing the ability to write short narrative texts. This research aims to understand and interpret in depth the synectic model which is oriented towards learning to write inspirational short story texts through experience. The method used to obtain and process research data is a literature review from printed books, electronic books, and journals. This research provides understanding regarding rational; objective; principle; stages; and the impact of the experience-oriented synectic model in learning to write inspirational short story texts. The conclusion of this research is the experience-oriented synectic model in learning to write inspirational short story texts can be used as an effective instrument in the scope of meaningful learning through a structured educational process, so that students can produce inspirational short stories through experiences that can generate personal motivation and a connoisseur audience, and has the potential to become an integrated masterpiece if it is involved in the National short story creation event with published works
Innovation in Numeracy Learning through the Make a Match Method Based on Local Wisdom of Malang for Children Aged 4-5 Years
Numeracy learning from an early age is the foundation for students' academic success at the next level of education. However, current numeracy learning is still one-way, focused on memorizing numbers, so it does not provide meaningful experiences for students. This study aims to analyze the application of the Make a Match method based on Malangan local wisdom in numeracy learning for students aged 4-5 years. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation at Dharma Wanita Kindergarten, Malang Regency. The results of the study revealed that the application of the Make a Match method based on Malangan local wisdom succeeded in transforming numeracy learning. Success is reflected in the enthusiasm of students in participating in learning that integrates Malangan Masks and batik motifs into numeracy materials. Supporting factors include the creativity of educators in developing learning media and collaboration with local artists. Inhibiting factors include limited preparation time and the lack of cultural references that suit the characteristics of early childhood students. Recommendations for program development include ongoing training for educators related to cultural integration into learning and the preparation of a local cultural database that has been adapted for early childhood learning.Pembelajaran numerasi sejak usia dini merupakan landasan keberhasilan akademik peserta didik pada jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Namun, pembelajaran numerasi saat ini masih bersifat satu arah yang terfokus pada kegiatan menghafal angka sehingga kurang memberikan pengalaman bermakna bagi peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan metode Make a Match berbasis kearifan lokal Malangan pada pembelajaran numerasi peserta didik usia 4-5 tahun. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi di TK Dharma Wanita Kabupaten Malang. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa penerapan metode Make a Match berbasis kearifan lokal Malangan berhasil mentransformasi pembelajaran numerasi. Keberhasilan tercermin dari antusiasme peserta didik mengikuti pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan Topeng Malangan dan motif batik ke materi numerasi. Faktor pendukung meliputi kreativitas para pendidik mengembangkan media pembelajaran serta kolaborasi dengan seniman lokal. Adapun faktor penghambat mencakup keterbatasan waktu persiapan dan minimnya referensi budaya yang sesuai karakteristik peserta didik usia dini. Rekomendasi pengembangan program yaitu pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi para pendidik terkait integrasi budaya ke pembelajaran serta penyusunan database budaya lokal yang telah disesuaikan untuk pembelajaran usia dini
Eduweb Quizlet Platform for Measuring Chinese Vocabulary Skills
Students experience difficulties in understanding and memorizing Mandarin vocabulary. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation and interviews through Google Forms, distributed via the WhatsApp group of Mandarin Language Education students at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The research findings indicate that EduWeb Quizlet is a digital educational platform that enhances learning and vocabulary mastery in Mandarin. Students face challenges in learning Mandarin due to its complex vocabulary and characters. Additionally, students in the Mandarin Language Education Department prefer using technology in the Mandarin language learning process. The study also identifies factors influencing students in learning Mandarin, such as a strong aspiration to develop themselves and pursue careers related to Mandarin. Therefore, the use of EduWeb Quizlet can be concluded as highly beneficial for foreign language learning, particularly Mandarin, in the era of Generation 5.0
Mengembangkan Kemampuan Literasi Baca Tulis Anak Melalui Kegiatan One Word of The Day di TK Islam Al Azhar 29 BSB Semarang
Improving literacy skills in children is very important to do fro an early age. By instilling literacy skills from an early age, it will become an important capital for children in living their daily lives in the future. Literacy is also a foundation that will affect children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. This study aims to determine the development of children’s literacy skills through one word of the day activities in group B Al Ghofar KB-TK Islam Al Azhar 29 BSB Semarang. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, where the data collected are in the form of words, pictures, and not numbers. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the study showed that one word of the day activities in group B Al Ghofar KB-TK Islam Al Azhar 29 BSB Semarang can improve children’s literacy skills, including: 1. Children who previously did not know letters began to understand letters, 2. Children who did not know syllables began to recognize words became accustomed to learing to compose words.Kemampuan literasi pada anak sangat penting dikembangkan sejak usia dini. Dengan menanamkan kemampuan literasi sejak dini, maka akan menjadi modal penting bagi anak dalam menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari di masa depan. Literasi juga menjadi fondasi yang akan berpengaruh pada perkembangan sosial, emosional, dan kognitif anak. The Influence of Quantum Learning Model Implementation on Students Interpersonal Intelligence in Social Studies Class IX at SMP Plus Al Madaniyah Branta Tinggi Pamekasan
Research in general was carried out to determine the effect of applying the Quantum Learning model on the interpersonal intelligence of class IX students at SMP Plus Al Madaniyah. This research uses quantitative experimental methods, pre-experimental design, one group pretest posttest. The population and sample of this research was class IX of SMP Plus Al Madaniyah Branta Tinggi Pamekasan, totaling 25 students. The object of the research is students' interpersonal intelligence. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, interviews and observation. The data collection instruments used in this research were questionnaire sheets, interview guidelines and observation sheets. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research results showed that the interpersonal intelligence of class IX students at SMP Plus Al Madaniyah before the Quantum Learning learning model was implemented was in the medium category. Based on the pretest-posttest score analysis, it was found that the average score of the experimental class that was treated was higher, namely 69.2 compared to the experimental class before being treated with a score of 63.64. And based on the results of the paired sample T test with the help of SPSS Version 22 for Windows, the pretest posttest results obtained a significance value of 0.009, less than 0.05. This shows that the hypothesis in this research (Ha) is accepted, namely that there is an influence of the application of the Quantum learning learning model on students' interpersonal intelligence and rejection (Ho). Market Day as a Vehicle for Regional Cultural and Culinary Education for Early Childhood Education
Market day activity is an activity adopted by schools to promote culture and regional food in Indonesia to children, the reality today we often encounter is that early childhood children prefer fast food to traditional food, because the food is increasingly scarce in their environment. Then there are still many parents who think that traditional food is ancient and outdated food, when in fact the food is healthier than the quality of the ingredients used or the way it is made. In this study, the author analyzes and describes how the introduction of regional food through market day activities in RA. Labschool IIQ Jakarta and what are the shortcomings and advantages of these activities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with three data collection techniques, namely: observation, ducumentation and interview. The interviews conducted in this study were through open-ended questions using video converence, zoom meetings with teachers and several guardians, and direct meetings with the Head of RA. Labschool IIQ Jakarta. This research was carried out in November-December 2023 at RA. Labschool IIQ Jakarta. The results of this study show that market day activities are very effective in being carried out by schools to educate students in the introduction of regional food.
