Get PDFA servant of God is identical with preaching the Gospel. From 1 Timothy 4:11-16 focuses on the actual roles of a God’s servant namelyexperiencing, enjoying and preaching the Gospel. The pure preachingdoes not only from one-sided life; which is the preaching itself, but also the wholeness of life which comprises enjoying and experiencing the Gospel; after that all of this can be applied through the preaching. This article uses a qualitative approach based on exegesis techniques and literature study. The source of this research focuses on the processing data from existing reference sources, both main and supporting sources, books and academic journals. There are some principles must applied based on the result of exegesis texts, namely command to preach the Gospel, living examples, perseverance in practicing gifts and self-control

Covid-19 is very fast spreading and is deadly, so this has caused global fears, including Indonesia. The Government of Indonesia is pursuing measures to minimize the spread of Covid-19 through social restrictions that impact the Christian worship model. This paper aims to determine the theological-ethical resilience of Christian worship model during the co-19 pandemic. Get PDFTerjadinya pandemi Covid-19 membuat membuat setiap aspek kehidupan menjadi goyah, serta berbagai masalah menjadi semakin kompleks khususnya dalam dunia pendidikan dan kehidupan bergereja. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan juga menjadi suatu bahan kajian secara reflektif tentang pentingnya pendidikan Kristen yang transformatif sebagai salah satu sarana pembelajaran bagi kehidupan warga gereja dalam melaksanakan ibadah ditengah pandemi covid-19 yang dilakukan secara online. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan. Melalui penelitian ini, penulis mengemukakan bahwa pendidikan Kristen yang transformatif merupakan suatu wadah untuk memberikan suatu pertumbuhan spiritual serta penguatan bagi warga gereja melalui edukasi biblis terkait ekspresi iman mereka dalam ibadah online.

Get PDFProses Pembelajaran pada IAKN Manado pada masa pandemi Covid-19 saat ini, menerapkan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh. Salah satu aplikasi yang sangat digemari oleh dosen adalah zoom cloud meetings. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi zoom cloud meetings dalam proses pembelajaran logika terhadap mahasiswa semester III Program Studi Teologi Fakultas Teologi IAKN Manado. Untuk mewujudkan tujuan penelitian ini, maka penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif. Melalui penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa sebanyak 69.9 % memandang penggunaan zoom cloud meetings tidak efektif dalam proses pembelajaran. Beberapa faktor yang menyebabkannya adalah jaringan tidak stabil, penggunaan paket data yang boros, dan minimnya ikatan emosional antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Kendala tersebut terjadi karena beberapa mahasiswa tinggal di daerah 3 T (terluar, terdalam, terdepan), tidak adanya perangkat wifi yang luas dan teknologi pada smartphone yang tidak mendukung
Batak Christian Protestant Church's View Concerning Ecology
Get PDFThis paper examines a discussion about ecology focus on Batak Christian Protestant Church's view and action. The study's reason is based on what the church said about ecological problems in their faith declaration. Furthermore, looking Batak Christian Protestant Church (HKBP) litigates connected to ecological action case in Indonesia. Methodology in this research is literary, looking at the book, internet, and faith confession of the HKBP. Gathering the data and then analyze is the approach used to discuss the issue.
This study traced that the HKBP has mentioned ecology in their faith confession. In their view, HKBP argues that God created man in his residence and place of work in this world (Gen. 2:5-15). Therefore, they oppose any environmentally damaging activities, such as burning and cutting down trees in the forest or wilderness (Deuteronomy 5: 20; 19-20). This creed is based on the Word of God as recorded in the scriptures. They also have been activated to protect nature, for example: develop livestock waste into alternative energy (biogas); planting trees in Peak Dolok, Balige North Sumatera; statings local wisdom. Christianity realizes that ecology issues are also part of their problems. What has been done by the HKBP be a positive thing. This action is a good activity for Christianity in Indonesia. Even though we cannot deny the ecology problem is our common problem

Get PDFThis study aims to describe pastoral work counseling for employees at PT IMS Manado who experience work stress. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The research subjects were employees at PT IMS Manado who experienced work stress and were given pastoral counseling assistance at work in the workplace. The results of the study show that employees who experience work stress are caused by poor interpersonal relationships which then result in decreased performance at work so that pastoral assistance is needed so that employees can understand themselves, others and God and His word. In the implementation of pastoral counseling, a confrontational counseling approach is carried out to confront clients directly with the problems they are facing and the problem solving that must be done

ANALISIS TEORI USES AND GRATIFICATION: MOTIF MENONTON KONTEN FIRMAN TUHAN INFLUENCER KRISTEN PADA MEDIA SOSIAL TIKTOK
Get PDFThis study aims to understand the motives for watching Christian Influencer's Word of God content on TiktTok Social Media using Uses and Gratification Theory analysis. According to Katz, Gurevitch and Haas (1973), the motives in question are based on needs that are satisfied by the media, which are discussed in one of the theories of mass communication, namely Uses & Gratification Theory, such as cognitive, affective, personal integration, social integration and tension release needs. The research subject is the audience of Brian Siawarta's Word of God content on TikTok Social Media. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation and interviews with two sources who are viewers of the Word of God content of Pastor Brian Siawarta on TikTok Social media. The results showed that the motive for watching God's Word content was driven by cognitive, affective, social integration and tension release needs. Meanwhile, the need for personal integration is not the main motive to increase the credibility and confidence of the audience but adds to the credibility of Brian Siawarta as an influencer. In the study, it was found that interpersonal communication exists between communicators with audiences and fellow audiences. It was also found that there are two types of TikTok social media users, namely 1) TikTok users only as viewers of other people's content; and 2) users as well as viewers who publish content for others to see, so these two things can affect a person's personal integration motives in choosing and watching TikTok content
Berteologi Melalui Nyanyian (Kajian Peran Nyanyian Buku Ende Membangun Spritual Jemaat Gereja)
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran nyanyian Buku Ende dalam membangun spritual jemaat gereja HKBP (Huria Kristen Batak Protestan). Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan dimana dalam setiap ibadah gereja HKBP selalu sarat akan nyanyian-nyanyian pujian oleh jemaat dengan menggunakan sebuah kidung pujian yaitu Buku Ende. Setiap kidung pujian yang terdapat dalam Buku Ende memiliki tema dan makna teologis tersendiri sehingga kidung yang digunakan juga selalu disesuaikan dengan tema di setiap ibadah gereja. Buku ende ini juga memenuhi prinsip teologis akan musik liturgi yaitu nyanyian choral dalam rangka memberitakan Firman Tuhan sehingga pemberitaan keselamatan juga diberitakan melalui musik dan nyanyian. Menyadari pentingnya penggunaan Buku Ende ini dalam tiap ibadah gereja HKBP, maka peneliti memandang perlu untuk mengkaji lebih dalam lagi mengenai peran nyanyian Buku Ende dalam membangun spritual jemaat gereja HKBP. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik kepustakaan (library research). Dari analisis data, diperoleh hasil bahwa lagu yang dinyanyikan mengandung muatan teologia dimana nyanyian-nyanyian dalam Buku ende membangun spritual dari jemaat
