This study aims to analyse the application of management principles in the implementation of non-formal education in church Sunday Schools. The results reveal that the effective and efficient learning process requires the application of management principles, including planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision. Careful planning, including the development of a structured curriculum, is key to achieving educational goals and improving students' understanding. BUKAN BERHALA! TINJAUAN TEOLOGI DOGMATIS-MISTIK TERHADAP PRAKTIK MA’NENE SUKU TORAJA

This paper will examine and discover the theological-dogmatic understanding of the practice of Ma' Nene' from the Toraja tribe. The research method is qualitative with a literature study approach through literature sources related to Ma' Nene', and dogmatic sources on respect for ancestors from several Christian theologies to analyze this tradition. The results show that the practice of Ma' Nene' in the Toraja tribe is not idol worship, but a practice to remember and honor ancestors as a form of love for ancestors and God. The indication that there are idolatrous practices in this rite does not mean that we want to negate this rite. Still, there needs to be a constructive interpretation carried out by local churches to the community, especially the Toraja community through the frame of dogmatic-mystical theology.Keywords: Ma' Nene', Toraja, Tribute, Idolatry, Mystic Theology

Tulisan ini akan menelisik dan menemukan paham teologis-dogmatis praktik Ma’ Nene’ dari suku Toraja. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka melalui sumber-sumber literatur terkait ma’ nene’, dan sumber-sumber dogmatis tentang penghormatan terhadap leluhur dari beberapa teologi Kristen untuk menganalisis tradisi ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik Ma’ Nene’ di suku Toraja bukanlah penyembahan terhadap hal yang berhala, melainkan praktek untuk mengenang dan menghormati leluhur sebagai wujud cinta terhadap leluhur, juga mencintai Allah. Terindikasinya ada praktik penyembahan berhala dalam ritus ini, bukan berarti ingin meniadakan ritus ini, tetapi perlu adanya pemaknaan konstruktif yang dilakukan oleh gereja-gereja lokal kepada masyarakat, terkhususnya masyarakat Toraja melalui bingkai teologi dogmatis-mistik.Kata Kunci: Ma’ Nene’, Toraja, Penghormatan, Berhala, Teologi Misti
Menafsirkan Mikha 6:8 dalam Konteks Pelayanan Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor
To support all its service activities, the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor has established five ministries to become instruments for GMIT to determine programs that can touch the congregation's struggles. This is important because GMIT is struggling with many humanitarian issues such as poverty, human trafficking, problematic climate and nature and many other problems. In carrying out this task, the church must be fair and act correctly so that the entire series of services is not biased. This task is framed upon Micah 6:8. Therefore, it can be said that this article is the result of an elaboration between text interpretation and a social theological approach which shows the practical side of the biblical text used as a reference. The conclusion of this article is that it can serve as material for reflection for GMIT in carrying out all its service activities while remaining faithful to the Bible, and full of justice, faithfulness and humility
Self-Love and Self-Acceptance in the Student Body: A Feminist Pedagogical Study in Christian Education
Christian education has a positive influence on students every time. Christian education also provides opportunities for students to express their life experiences while educating them about body appreciation. This research analysed the significance of self-love and self-acceptance of the student body in Christian education from feminist pedagogy. This research method was qualitative, using a literature review approach, and data was collected by interviewing grade X adolescents at one of the public high schools in Palu. This research showed that adolescents apply life with the value of self-love and self-acceptance for their bodies. They also experienced caring educators and Christian education learning that supported development and growth
KEANGKUHAN BERUJUNG KEMATIAN : HERMENEUTIK KRITIK HISTORIS TENTANG KISAH HAMAN DALAM ESTER 7:1-10
The Jews in Persia suffered endlessly as a result of Haman's regulations. The compound word "suffering" here refers to the Jews' bodily and spiritual characteristics. Captured members of a second-class society, they lack the strength to fight for their own fate. Their lives are totally dependent on what God accomplishes. In addition to preventing the destruction of the Jewish country, Esther's liberation battle defended the rights of the weak and defenseless, the oppressed, and the second-class society. Finally, Haman, who had planned to destroy the Jews, was present at the second banquet of King Ahasuerus and Queen Esther. At first, Esther said nothing, but finally revealed that she was Jewish and asked the king to save her and her people from the threat of Haman. King Ahasuerus became angry and decided to punish Haman in the way he had planned for Mordecai, one of his uncles. This event marks a turning point in the story, where the threat to the Jews begins to be overcome and Haman accepts the consequences of his actions. To understand the text, the author uses the hermeneutic method of historical criticism and then studies it theologically in the Book of Esther 7:1-10, which ultimately leads to the power of God
MERANGKAI KEBERSAMAAN DITENGAH PERBEDAAN: ANALISIS PERAN PEMIMPIN AGAMA DALAM PENGUATAN MODERASI BERAGAMA DI MENGKENDEK, TANA TORAJA
Keunikan Indonesia yang majemuk dalam segala bidang termasuk kemajemukan agama membawa dampak tersendiri dalam kehidupan bermasyarakatnya. Dampak tersebut misalnya munculnya berbagai permasalahan intoleran di antara umat beragama. Menghadapi situasi tersebut, maka salah satu upaya yang sedang gencar dikumandangkan oleh pemerintah adalah Moderasi Beragama yang mengajak masyarakat untuk saling menghargai dalam keberbedaan yang ada. Peranan berbagai pihak sangat dibutuhkan untuk mewujudkan tujuan dari moderasi beragama tersebut termasuk dari tokoh-tokoh keagamaan. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengenai peran pemimpin agama Toraja dalam membangun Moderasi Beragama secara khusus kepada pemimpin agama di Mengkendek, Tana Toraja di mana dari hasil analisis peran pemimpin agama tersebut diharapkan dapat ditemukan upaya-upaya yang berguna dalam meminimalizir masalah intoleransi di tengah masyarakat. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif yang mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dan pengamatan. Hasilnya memperlihatkan bahwa pemimpin agama di Mengkendek, Tana Toraja sangat berperan dalam menciptakan suasana moderat di dalam masyarakat melalui upayanya menyadari tugas dan tanggung jawabnya, mengajarkan sikap toleransi kepada masyarakat, membangun dialog antar umat beragama dan memikirkan program dan kerja sama yang dapat melibatkan umat beragama
MENGUAK AGENDA KOLONIAL DALAM PERINTAH PEMBANTAIAN ULANGAN 7:1-11
It is undeniable that the Old Testament in the Christian Bible contains the extremely violent narratives such as slaughter and genocide. One of them is Deuteronomy 7:1-11, which has been the subject of discussion and debate for a long time among scholars because of the nature of the narrative, which contradicts the image of a merciful God in Christian faith. More terribly, the text, and other similar texts, had been used to legitimize colonization and genocide of native people by European colonizers in the 18th-19th centuries. As a text that has been studied and discussed frequently, research on the extermination command in Deuteronomy 7 has often been carried out. However, what differentiates this article from another is the use of a postcolonial criticism that scrutinizes the agenda of colonialism not only in the narrative within the text but also in the text's production process. As a result, this article offers two important key points as an alternative way to interpret the narrative of the massacre command in the text
Reviving Bultmann's Theological Thought Anew in the Contemporary Context
This article aims to refresh the theological thought of Rudolf Bultmann in a contemporary context by examining his contributions to existential theology and the relevance of the Gospel in the modern era. The main focus of this study includes Bultmann's ideas on the “Hidden God”, divine revelation, and existential faith experience, as well as the concept of demythologisation as an attempt to actualise the biblical message in an increasingly secular and pluralistic world. Criticism of his hermeneutical methods is also discussed to evaluate the relevance of Bultmann's theology in confronting the challenges of spiritual life and contemporary Christian ethics. The research demonstrates that, despite facing criticism, Bultmann's thought remains relevant and offers new insights into understanding faith, revelation, and Christian dogma in the modern world. Thus, this article presents a perspective of renewal in the application of Bultmann's theological thought for the contemporary context
ALTRUISTIK PENGORBANAN YESUS: SUATU PENDEKATAN KRITIS SERTA IMPLEMENTASI GEREJA MASA KINI
Pengorbanan Yesus merupakan sutau karya penyelamatan-Nya dalam membeaskan manusia dari belenggu dosa, dan mengarahkan manusia pada ekspresi keberimanan mereka kepada Dia. Pengorbanan Yesus bukan hanya dilihat sebagai penebusan melainkan dilihat juga sebagai tindakan altruistik-Nya kepada manusia ciptaan-Nya sebab karna kasih-Nya yang begitu besar ia berkorban dengan tulus kepada manusia. Altruistik mengajarkan bagaimana empati, kepedulian Yesus kepada manusia dalam hal ini Ia lebih mementingkan menyelamatkan umatnya tanpa syarat. Dalam hal ini sekalipun manusia bersalah, Ia tetap peduli dan melakukan karya penyelamatan-Nya. Gereja masa kini perlu memaknai dan mengaplikasikan bagaimana altruistik dalam pengorbanan Yesus di wujud nyatakan lewat kasih, empati dan solidaritasnya. Gereja perlu melakukan misi ini baik secara internal gereja maupun eksternal gereja dengan saling memperhatikan satu dengan yang lain; saling membantu satu dengan yang lain sebagai wujud dari altruistik pengorbanan Yesus. Tujuan dari penulisan ini: dalam pengajaran dan pelayanannya, gereja tidak terjebak pada tindakan retoris semata melainkan wajib terjun dalam praksis melaksanakan altruistik itu terhadap jemaat dan sesama ciptaan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode kepustakaan, sebab karenanya boleh mengmpulkan berbagai macam literatur-literatur yang relevan dengan pengkajian ini
MENYATU DENGAN ALAM: MEMBANGUN KESADARAN EKO PASTORAL DALAM LINGKUP KELUARGA
Artikel ini membahas peran keluarga dalam meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis. Penelitian ini melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi di Desa Tateli sebagai bagian dari pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-analitik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana keluarga dapat berkontribusi dalam menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan melalui praktik-praktik sederhana namun berdampak besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga berperan strategis dalam mendukung kelestarian lingkungan dengan menerapkan prinsip reduce, reuse, dan recycle. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, kebiasaan seperti mengurangi penggunaan plastik, memanfaatkan kembali barang yang masih layak pakai, serta mendaur ulang limbah rumah tangga menjadi langkah nyata yang dapat diterapkan oleh keluarga. Tantangan utamanya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan tentang ekologis dan keterbatasan akses ke fasilitas pendukung, seperti tempat pengolahan sampah dan edukasi lingkungan. Sebagai institusi keagamaan, gereja membantu keluarga belajar melalui pendidikan yang didasarkan pada pendekatan ekopastoral. Dengan adanya pendampingan dari gereja, keluarga lebih mudah memahami pentingnya merawat lingkungan sebagai bagian dari tanggung jawab moral dan spiritual. Keluarga, gereja, dan komunitas lokal dapat bekerja sama untuk mempercepat perubahan perilaku ramah lingkungan. Dengan cara ini, keluarga dapat berkontribusi secara berkelanjutan dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan
