If there is no action, an appropriate method of counseling is applied in the church, it will cause a more complicated problem. The purpose of this study is to reveal the role of the pastor on leadership and growth in the church. The problems in this study are as follows: What is the role of the pastor on church leadership and growth in the perspective of pastoral counseling?. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results used in this study indicate a form of pastoral counseling method given by the pastor to congregation members as leaders and to increase church growth. The existence of pastoral counseling can help the pastor's role in leadership in the church and display a superior character, trustworthy attitude and role model in growing the church

Get PDFThis article is a Study of Learning Contexts to Suggest Relevant Learning Strategies for Taman Kanak-Kanak Dharma Wanita Kalasey Satu, Minahasa. This study was conducted using a descriptive method through literature approach and empirical research related to the context and strategies of early childhood learning. The results of the study show that there are various learning contexts that are oriented towards children as educational subjects as well as various learning strategies that emphasize the role of the teacher as a facilitator in teaching and the participation of children as learners. Therefore, the PAUD unit studied, namely TK Dharma Wanita Kalasey Satu, was able to take advantage of several learning strategies that were relevant to the learning context, especially during this pandemic

Get PDFPendidikan melalui seni, termasuk di dalamnya pendidikan melalui musik, sejatinya menitikberatkan pada bagaimana musik digunakan sebagai alat pendidikan, tidak hanya dalam kegiatan belajar tentang musik tetapi juga mencakup segala aktivitas musikal yang dilakukan baik dalam bentuk kegiatan apresiasi maupun kreasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji proses pendidikan melalui aktivias musikal dalam ibadah online Anak Sekolah Minggu GMIM Exodus Paniki Dua. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan pendidikan seni. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa, sejatinya pendidikan melalui aktivitas musikal dalam ibadah online Anak Sekolah Minggu memiliki manfaat sebagai penguat aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor yang bersifat individual, dan bukan bersifat komunal sebagai ciri umum dari proses pendidikan dalam ibadah online. Aplikasinya dalam kegiatan ibadah online Anak Sekolah Minggu GMIM Exodus Paniki Dua, berlangsung dalam setiap aktivitas musikal seperti ekspresi diri, observasi dan apresiasi yang tergambar dalam aktivitas gerak dan lagu yang dilakukan selama peribadatan berlangsung
MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MELALUI PENGGUNAAN TEKNIK JIGSAW
Get PDFThis study aims (1) to improve student achievement in class A semester VI Christian Religious Education Study Program Manado State Christian Religion Institute through cooperative learning with jigsaw techniques, (2) to increase interest and motivation to learn students in class A semester VI Education Study Program Christian Religion Institute of Manado State Christian Religion through cooperative learning with jigsaw techniques. This research is classroom action research. Total population of 145 people and a sample of 14 people. The research data were obtained from test scores on pre-cycle, cycle 1, cycle 2 and questionnaire. The results showed that cooperative learning with jigsaw techniques can significantly improve achievement, interest and motivation of students in class A semester VI of the IAKN Manado Christian Religious Education Study Program. The percentage of the number of students who obtained a minimum passing grade achievement increased from 60% in the pre-cycle to 80% in cycle 1, and to 90% in cycle II. Students' interest and learning motivation increases, from 70% in cycle 1 to 90% in cycle 2
Pemanfaatan Nilai Budaya Ra’ian dalam Strategi Pendidikan Agama Kristen bagi Pembentukan Karakter Pemuda di Desa Sawang Utara Kecamatan Melonguane
Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the characteristics and realities of the Ra'ian culture, the christian education strategy for the Ra'ian culture, the supporting and inhibiting factors and the efforts to implement the Rai'an cultural values in building the youth character. This research method is the descriptive qualitative research conducted in the North Sawang Village, Melonguane District in 2020. The data were collected through observation, interviews and documentary study. From the outcomes of the data analysis and interpretation, it is found that; (1). In reality, this Rai’an culture contains positive meaning in accordance with Christian teachings and has cultural values that can be used as substance for the character building. The Rai’an culture has undergone a shift due to a lack of knowledge from the youth about the Rai’an culture. (2). Advice and sermons as the ways to build the character as they contain teachings based on the gospel, as well as the applicaton or approach of the five movements of the Groome as a way of instilling rai’an cultural values, 3). The supporting factors, namely parents at home who also collaborate with traditional elders, village leaders and religious figures, make customary activity programs. The inhibiting factors of social and Technology Advancements are uncontrollable use of collphones (online games) but also the social environment that drivers them to carry out deviant behavior. (4). The effort that can be made is to involve the youth in organizational activities in the village and in the church as well as seminars containing the cultural wealth that exists in the Talaud Island Regency, especially those in the village of North Sawang. As a conclusion of these findings, this Rai’an culture must be introduced to the youth properly in the way of utilizing the cultural values as the teaching materials by Christian educators. The parents and the leaders of the village, custom and church work together to formulate programs in building the youth character
“SI TOU TIMOU TUMOU TOU”: BERTEOLOGI PASTORAL KELUARGA DALAM KONTEKS BUDAYA MINAHASA DI TENGAH PERUBAHAN ZAMAN
Get PDFThe time has brought changes in all aspects of human life, including family life. Communal relations in families in the East are increasingly being eroded due to the influence of increasingly advanced science and technology. However, eastern cultural values essentially have tremendous wealth for family survival. This study aims to examine the family from the perspective of Minahasa culture as a context for family pastoral theology, especially with regard to the philosophy of life of the Minahasan people, namely Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou which means humans live to bring others to life. The purpose of this study is to describe the philosophy of life of the Minahasa people as a context for family pastoral theology in the midst of changing times. The research methodology used is library research on family pastoral theology and Minahasa culture related to si tou timou tumou tou. The findings are that the life philosophy of the Minahasa people, si tou timou tumou tou is something important and crucial for family life in the midst of today's changes. Families that live to humanize others will be able to survive and continue to grow together in the midst of changing times. The conclusion of this study explains that si tou timou tumou tou is a relevant pastoral theological context for families in the current era of change
