    Detection Of Phishing Websites And Secure Transactions

    Phishing is an electronic online identity theft in which the attackers use a combination of social engineering and web site spoofing techniques to trick a user into revealing confidential information. It steals the user’s personal identity data and financial credentials. Most of the phishing attacks emerge as spoofed E-Mails appearing as legitimate ones which makes the users to trust and divulge into them by clicking the link provided in the E-Mail. To detect a Phishing website, human experts compare the claimed identity of a website with features in the website. For example, human experts often compare the domain name in the URL against the claimed identity. Most legitimate websites have domain names that match their identities, while Phishing websites usually have less relevance between their domain names and their claimed (fake) identities. In addition to blacklists, white lists, heuristics, and classifications used in the state-of-the-art systems, we propose to consider websites’ identity claims. To enable secure transactions ,Password hashing has been done with MD5 hashing algorithms that strengthens web password authentication. It is also shown that getting original password from hashed form is not an easy task due to addition of salt value.     We are living in a world of wireless technology. The most widely used wireless i.e. mobile computing device today is the Mobile phone, can be used not only for voice and data communications but also as a computing device running context aware applications. In this paper we present a model that based on GSM data base. The objective of this paper identifies social and suspicious groups based on Cell Id, IMSI, IMEI, date and time, Location Area, MCC and MNC. This information can be used by applications for the detection of users, user context, discovering of groups and relation between them using clustering technique of data mining. One of the vital means in dealing with these data is to classify or group them into a set of categories or clusters. We demonstrate that even without knowledge of observed cell tower locations, we can recognize mobility modes that are useful for several application domains.     The last mile access for residential user are asymmetric. As a result an equal split between the uplink and downlink channel cause inefficient bandwidth utilization. Improper allocation will severely affect the traffic. In this work the main focus is TCP performance during improper bandwidth allocation. The TDD framing in Wi-max is adaptive in the order to make the downlink to uplink bandwidth ratio vary with time. Adaptive channel split ratio, adjust the bandwidth ratio with the help of present traffic profile, transport layer parameters and wireless interference. This scheme will provide higher throughput.     EFFICIENT LOAD BALANCING IN PEER-TO-PEER SYSTEMS USING VIRTUAL SERVERS

    Load balancing is a critical issue for the efficient operation of peer-to- peer networks. With the notion of virtual servers, peers participating in a heterogeneous, structured peer-to-peer (P2P) network may host different numbers of virtual servers, and by migrating virtual servers, peers can balance their loads proportional to their capacities. Peers participating in a Distributed Hash Table (DHT) are often heterogeneous. The existing and decentralized load balance algorithms designed for the heterogeneous, structured P2P networks either explicitly construct auxiliary networks to manipulate global information or implicitly demand the P2P substrates organized in a hierarchical fashion. Without relying on any auxiliary networks and independent of the geometry of the P2P substrates, this paper present ,a novel efficient, proximity-aware load balancing algorithm by using the concept of common virtual servers, that is unique in that each participating peer is based on the partial knowledge of the system to estimate the probability distributions of the capacities of peers and the loads of virtual servers.     Reliable and accurate verification of people is extremely important in a number of business transactions as well as access to privileged information. The biometrics-based methods assume that the physical characteristics of an individual (as captured by a sensor) used for verification are sufficiently unique to distinguish one person from another. But the increase in twin births has created a requirement for biometric systems to accurately determine the identity of a person who has an identical twin. Identical twins have the closest genetics-based relationship and, therefore, the maximum similarity between fingerprints is expected to be found among identical twins. They can’t be discriminated based on DNA. As one of the most successful applications of image analysis and understanding, face recognition has recently received significant attention, especially during the past several years. Identical twin face recognition is a difficult task due to the existence of a high degree of correlation in overall facial appearance. In this paper, we study the usability of facial marks as biometric signatures to distinguish between identical twins. We propose a multi scale automatic facial mark detector based on a gradient-based operator known as the fast radial symmetry transform. The transform detects bright or dark regions with high radial symmetry at different scales. Next, the detections are tracked across scales to determine the prominence of facial marks. Extensive experiments are performed both on manually annotated and on automatically detected facial marks to evaluate the usefulness of facial marks as biometric signatures.     Evaluation of Two Terminal Reliability of Fault-tolerant Multistage Interconnection Networks

    This paper iOntroduces a new method based on multi-decomposition for predicting the two terminal reliability of fault-tolerant multistage interconnection networks. The method is well supported by an efficient algorithm which runs polynomially. The method is well illustrated by taking a network consists of eight nodes and twelve links as an example. The proposed method is found to be simple, general and efficient and thus is as such applicable to all types of fault-tolerant multistage interconnection networks. The results show this method provides a greater accurate probability when applied on fault-tolerant multistage interconnection networks.     Evaluation of Renoprotective Effects of Ethanolic Extract of Morinda citrifolia L. in a Murine Model of Gentamicin-induced Nephrotoxicity

    AIM: The present study was undertaken to evaluate noni fruit juice for its protective effects on gentamicin-induced nephrotoxicity in rats. METHODS:Wistar albino rats of either sex, weighing 150-200g were divided into 4 groups; normal saline, gentamicin 80 mg/kg, i.p.,i for 8 days, noni fruit juice 5 and 10 mg/kg, p.o., for 8 days, noni fruit juice 3 days prior and concurrently with gentamicin for 5 days. Blood urea, serum creatinine, serum uric acid and blood urea nitrogen analyses and microscopic examination of kidney were performed after the treatment. RESULTS: Gentamicin treatment caused nephrotoxicity as evidenced by marked elevation in blood urea and serum creatinine. Serum urea, serum uric acid, serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen were increased with gentamicin compared to saline-treated animals (162.33 ± 9.92mg/dl, 3.13 ± 0.12 mg/dl, 6.85 ± 0.35 mg/dl and 75.86 ± 4.64 mg/dl respectively).Co-administration of noni fruit juice with gentamicin decreased the rise in in these parameters in a dose dependent manner. Study of renal morphology by light microscope showed epithelial loss with intense granular degeneration involving \u3e50% renal cortex in gentamicin treated rats, whereas in noni fruit juice plus gentamicin treated rat revealed insignificant changes in tubular epithelium. CONCLUSION: To conclude, our data suggest that supplementation of noni fruit juice may be useful in reducing gentamicin nephrotoxicity in rats

    A Prospective Comparative Study of serratiopeptidase and aceclofenac in Upper and Lower Limb Soft Tissue Trauma Cases

    The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the efficacy and safety of serratiopeptidase and aceclofenac in reducing swelling and pain following soft tissue injury. This study included 100 patients with soft tissue injury to upper limb, lower limb or both. They were randomly divided into two groups of 50 each to receive serratiopeptidase and aceclofenac. Evaluation of efficacy was made using tape measurement (for swelling), and visual analogue scale (for pain) on day 0, week 1and week 2. Serratiopeptidase showed significant anti-inflammatory effect and mild analgesic effect. None of the patient was required to be put on another analgesic or any alteration in treatment. Aceclofenac showed superior analgesic effect as compared to serratiopeptidase. Mild to moderate adverse effects were reported. The most common adverse effect reported was dyspepsia. All were mild and did not require any alteration or discontinuation of treatment
