    Get PDF
The goal of this work is to find a fast method for motion estimation and motion segmentation using proposed model. Recent day Communication between ends is facilitated by the development in the area of wired and wireless networks. Block matching algorithms are very useful in achieving the efficient and acceptable compression. Block matching algorithm defines the total computation cost and effective bit budget. Recently fast search algorithm for video coding using Orthogonal Logarithmic Search Algorithm (OSA) has been proposed. Motion estimation is the most time consuming operation in a typical video encoder. This paper presents a novel method using three step algorithm with modified search pattern based on dead cell for the block based motion estimation. It has been found that from the original Three step Search (3SS/TSS ) method, the PSNR value has increased and the computations and thus computation time (faster) has been reduced significantly .The experimental results based on the number of video sequences were presented to demonstrate the advantages of proposed motion estimation technique

Recent day Communication between ends is facilitated by the development in the area of wired and wireless networks. So many researches are going on the field of motion estimation to achieve the requirement of recent day technology. Block matching algorithms are very useful in achieving the efficient and acceptable motion estimation. Total computation cost and bit budgeting can be efficiently controlled by properly modifying block matching algorithms. Video coding using Orthogonal Logarithmic Search Algorithm (OSA) is one of the best block matching algorithms used now days. Motion estimation is the most time consuming operation in a typical video encoder. This paper presents a novel method by combining modified three step (M3SS) algorithm with a different search pattern and diamond search (DS) based on dead cell for the block based motion estimation. Result shows that from the original Three step Search (3SS/TSS ) method, the PSNR value has increased and the computations time has been reduced effectively by modified 3SS and again to increase the search space we combined diamond search(DS) algorithm. The experimental results based on different video frames were compared to demonstrate the advantages of proposed fast motion estimation algorithm

    Get PDF
Social Network Analysis (SNA) is a set of research procedures for identifying group of people who share common structures in systems based on the relations among actors. Grounded in graph and system theories, this approach has proven to be powerful measures for studying networks in various industries like Telecommunication, banking, physics and social world, including on the web. Since Telecommunication industries deals with huge amount of data, manual analysis of data is very difficult. In this paper we explore the Social Network Analysis techniques for Churn Prediction in Telecom data. Typical work on social network analysis includes the construction of multi-relational telecom social network and centrality measures for prediction of churners in telecom social network

Statistical Evaluation of Induced Seismicity In Karkheh Dam, Iran

    Get PDF
Karkheh dam is the largest dam in Iran with a capacity of about 7.4×109 cubic meters and height of 127 meters. Since the first impoundment, increasing in seismic activity in the dam area has been observed that indicates the possible occurrence of reservoir-induced seismicity (RIS).In the present work, a preliminary evaluation is conducted firstly in order to investigate these observations. Based on the assessment of the number of earthquakes occurred in equal time periods before and after reservoir impoundment and their focal depths, it is concluded that RIS is happening in the dam site. Secondly, a cross-correlation method is applied in order to find the relationship between water level fluctuations and the variations of seismic activities. This analysis confirms a strong relationship between fluctuation of the water level and the number of seismicity events in the dam area

Problem Centric Instructional Approach for Computer Science & Engineering E-Content Development

    Get PDF
Instructional strategies for e-content development have to be entirely different from that for traditional printed materials, such as text books and manuals. This is due to the fact that, technically and socially both have different instructional processes. Due to the advent of ICT development in recent times, many Computer Technology subject contents are being uploaded in e-learning modes. Training imparted through e-modes has increased in recent times specifically in India. This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of our suggestion on Real World Problem centric Instructional approach. Specific issues on the e-mode have been inferred through a social study conducted on Indian learners (respondents). The paper justifies the adaptation of ‘First Principles of Instruction’ through our experimental study. Due to reasons elaborated in the paper this proven Instructional approach using ‘First Principles of Instruction’ would be well suited for e-content development of Computer Science and Engineering subjects

HIDING SECRET DATA THROUGH STEGANOGRAPHY IN VOIP

    Get PDF
Steganography is an effective way of hiding secret data, by this means of protecting the data from unauthorized or unwanted viewing. Using cryptography technique will encrypt and decrypt message to provide better security. Cryptography protects the message from being read by unauthorized parties, steganography lets the sender conceal the fact that he has even sent a message. One of the new and promising communication medium that can be used as steganography is the Voice over Internet Protocol. VOIP covers a wide range of information hiding techniques. The main idea is to use free unused fields of VOIP protocols like TCP, UDP etc. By hiding one secret text into the cover speech using steganography we can get a stego speech, which sounds indistinguishable from the original cover speech. So even if the Hackers/crackers catch the audio packets on network, they would not notice that there is some secret text hidden inside it. To develop a Voice Chat Tool, this can also enable us to send secret data hidden inside the voice packets at the same time. We used LSB method of steganography and for better security we provide encryption to the message to be sent. There is no restriction on the length of message as more the communicators talk larger the file is sent. Human auditory system (HAS) operates over a wide dynamic range. It is challenging to hide secret data inside audio

Probabilistic Anonymous Routing in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks

    Get PDF
In this paper, we propose a routing protocol which ensures route anonymity, for the user. Amongst all suboptimal paths between source and destination, path for data transfer is chosen randomly at each intermediate node. Route anonymity becomes essential for preventing attacks like traffic monitoring. Bayesian approach has been employed for route discovery phase of the protocol. The protocol is simulated using NCTUNS network simulator. The robustness of our protocol is evaluated against known security attacks

WIRELESS EURYNOMUS A WIRELESS (802.11) PROBE REQUEST BASED ATTACK

    Get PDF
The 802.11 standard for wireless includes a procedure of sending a continuous probe request to find out if there is a nearby Access Point available or not. Most of wireless clients like laptops or smart phones are configured to auto-connect. Due to this auto connect feature any client can be compromised disregarding the fact that Access Point is nearby or not. Even if the client is connected to legal Access Point, a simple disassociation packet in 802.11 headers can be helpful for an attacker to leak your personal as well as company\u27s top secret information
