The \u27new-normal\u27 life in virtual world: Issues, Challenges & Way forward
To deliberate on the issue of ‘effectiveness and impact of \u27Digital Medium\u27 on \u27digital-life\u27, particularly during this extended lockdown, in all fields (academics or any official work).
Mostly it will be ‘experience sharing’ by the ‘stake-holders’, to understand the issues relating to the ‘virtual life’, in this \u27different\u27 virtual-world, ‘working from home’ (WFH) during lockdown.
The concerned stakeholders, for example, could be: Examinees, Examiners, and the service providers (technology, like zoom, moodle, etc., where our students completed education and exams).https://www.interscience.in/conf_proc_volumes/1038/thumbnail.jp

Design and Analysis of Mixing Sphere in Start-up System of Supercritical Boilers
Thickness of the mixing sphere with multi openings in the startup system is unattainable using the design codes. Obtaining the values experimentally is also quite uneconomical. Hence the analysis of sphere with openings was performed to find the allowable thickness values based on maximum stress conditions given in ASME code. The whole start-up system was modeled in CAESAR and the flexibility analysis was carried out for all the static load cases. The reaction forces and moments acting on the connecting nozzles of the sphere were obtained and given as inputs for the finite element analysis of the sphere. The mixing sphere was modeled in ANSYS and analyzed for the maximum stress that occurs for different thickness values. The analysis reveals that the maximum stresses for the given thickness values are within the allowable limit according to ASME design code. The optimum thickness of the sphere and the corresponding allowable pressure were also determined
DESIGN OF A NEW DOUBLE PULSE LATCH FLIP FLOP
This paper presents a new double pulse flip flop, which is composed of a pulse generator and latch part. DPLFF consumes less power and few transistor compare to other flip-flop. As feature size of the CMOS technology continues to scale down, leakage power has become an ever-increasing important part of the total power consumption of a chip. Double pulsed latch flip flop faster than other flip flop. This design features consumes less power. In this flip flop we modified the pulse generator to suit the circuit. The double pulse latch flip-flop has symmetric timing property. TSPICE simulation result at a frequency of 400MHz shows that proposed DPLFF consume less power compare to DPSCRFF
High Speed ACSU Architecture for Viterbi Decoder Using T-Algorithm
In this paper, we propose an efficient architecture based on pre-computation for Viterbi decoders incorporating Talgorithm. Through optimization at both algorithm level and architecture level, the new architecture greatly shortens the long critical path introduced by the conventional T-algorithm. The design example provided in this work decomputation overhead while maintaining decoding performancemonstrates more than twice improvement in clock speed with negligible
FINITE ELEMENT MODELLING AND ANALYSIS OF WORKPIECE-FIXTURE SYSTEM
The fixture design and analysis lead-time is always a major influencing factor for the bottleneck between product design and manufacturing. With advent analysis and simulation tools, there is a lot of potential to expand the scope of optimization of fixture elements to achieve the objectives such as ‘maximizing rigidity’ and ‘minimizing weight’ of a fixture assembly. There are many sources which affect the rigidity of fixture assembly. The rigidity of fixture assembly mainly depends upon various factors such as material properties, geometry of individual components, stability against thermal distortions, clearances or plays on fixture elements (to facilitate loading and unloading of workpiece), contact deformations at contacting surfaces, etc. Among these, contact deformations at contact interface are one of the important sources of errors in precision fixture design. These contact deformations are measure of contact stiffness and therefore needed to be studied in accordance with workpiece-fixture contact. In this paper, a numerical model of fixture unit assembly is presented using the FEA tool ANSYS. ANSYS contact elements CONTA175 (8 node element) and TARGE170 (8 node quadrilateral element) are utilized to represent contact stiffness at contact interface. This model simulates the behavior of contacting surfaces of fixture assembly for different values of surface roughness, coefficient of friction (μ) and contact stiffness with very little modelling or computational efforts and time. This work establishes the FEA model of fixture unit assembly to predict fixture unit stiffness and FEA model of rough surface contact to predict contact stiffness. Based on this study, the database of fixture stiffness and contact stiffness is built up and further can be used in computer aided fixture design (CAFixD)
