MAIL SORTER USING LABVIEW
The Indian postal system is the largest networks in the world. Being the 7th largest country in the world, major population of the country is rural based, where the basic amenities of life is a sweet dream. In such a scenario, having an efficient mail delivery system is essential. Hence, to eliminate the drawbacks in other processes, we propose to fully automate the sorting process. Unlike the code generation technique, it neither requires any human intervention to generate a code based on the pin code nor will be a problem in case of absence of the pin code. The principle used for sorting is the Optical Character Recognition using LabVIEW software. Camera, placed over the slide unit captures the image of the address. The pin code or the state (in the absence of the pin code) is selected and compared with a set of trained characters in the data base. On finding a positive match, based on the first two digits of the pin code or the first four letters of the state, the mail is segregated by the LabVIEW program involving OCR technique. The processed data is sent to the real time application by the DAQ card, which activates the actuating arm(servo motor) to allow the letters to move to the respective stack(zone) and thus sorting the mails automatically, reducing the human effort and errors
Seamless Handover between UMTS and GPRS
UMTS is one step ahead from the 2.5G network GPRS and supports faster data rates with wide coverage area. GPRS and UMTS are already deployed in many countries but seamless handover between GPRS and UMTS still remains as a stumbling block for the service providers to fulfill the continuously increasing customer demand for internet and data access in the IP-based wireless network and to maintain incessant connection for the itinerant service consumers. In this paper we propose a method that mongrelizes 3GPP IMS and MIPv4 to resolve the seamless inter-system handover between UMTS and GPRS with a result of no packet loss and minimum latency so that the itinerant service consumers can get services without any interruption

A subset of AI is, evolutionary algorithm (EA) which involves evolutionary computation, a generic populationbased meta heuristic optimization algorithm. A TOOL FOR EFFECTIVE DETECTION OF FRAUD IN CREDIT CARD SYSTEM
Due to the rise and rapid growth of E-Commerce, use of credit cards for online purchases has dramatically increased and it caused an explosion in the credit card fraud. Fraud is one of the major ethical issues in the credit card industry. As credit card becomes the most popular mode of payment for both online as well as regular purchase, cases of fraud associated with it are also rising. In real life, fraudulent transactions are scattered with genuine transactions and simple pattern matching techniques are not often sufficient to detect those frauds accurately. Implementation of efficient fraud detection systems has thus become imperative for all credit card issuing banks to minimize their losses. In all manufacturing plants the machines and equipment’s are influenced by deterioration in performance due to its age and use, obsolescence due to improvement in technology and failure due to unplanned maintenance Improper maintenance leads to unavailability of machine Hence the effective maintenance becomes useful in improving equipment life, reducing manufacturing cost, improving quality and minimizing the many unforeseen losses which are responsible for reducing the potential of the manufacturing plant. This paper addresses the issue by taking a case study of a manufacturing company. Detailed analysis and calculations are carried out on data collected through discussion, interview and observations. The overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) calculation is used to find out the current situation of the production system of the case company. It calculates the availability of the production system which shows that maintenance system’s effectiveness. The quality rate calculations of the work stations show the conditions of the machines and the worker’s skill and the calculations of the performance efficiency of the work stations show the utilization of the machines. The result of analysis is presented here with recommendations to the company

The Power electronics plays a vital role in the conversion and control of the electrical power for various applications such as heating & lightning control, electrochemical processes, DC & AC electrical machine drives, electrical welding, active power line filtering, static var compensator and many more.The main aim of the paper is to analyze and design of a current fed push pull DC-DC boost converter to integrate three phase electric motor through inverter. The regulated output which is obtained by the developed converter is fed to a typical load side inverter, and then to the various loads. To analyze the CFPP DC-DC converter in different operating cycles. The hardware circuit will be designed to test for the required output.Among the existing DC/DC converters, current-fed push-pull (CFPP) converter is a better option owing to its voltage boosting, isolation and compact characteristics
DIRECT TORQUE CONTROL FOR DOUBLY FED INDUCTION MACHINE-BASED WIND TURBINES UNDER VOLTAGES DIPS AND WITHOUT CROWBAR PROTECTION
This letter proposes a rotor flux amplitude reference generation strategy for doubly fed induction machine based wind turbines. It is specially designed to address perturbations, such as voltage dips, keeping controlled the torque of the wind turbine, and considerably reducing the stator and rotor over currents during faults. In addition, a direct torque control strategy that provides fast dynamic response accompanies the overall control of the wind turbine. Despite the fact that the proposed control does not totally eliminate the necessity of the typical crowbar protection for this kind of turbines, it eliminates the activation of this protection during low voltage dip
A HIGH-PERFORMANCE AND LOW-POWER DELAY BUFFER
In this paper, presents circuit design of a low-power delay buffer. The proposed delay buffer uses several new techniques to reduce its power consumption. Since delay buffers are accessed sequentially, it adopts a ring-counter addressing scheme. In the ring counter, double-edge-triggered (DET) flip-flops are utilized to reduce the operating frequency by half and the C-element gated-clock strategy is proposed. Both total transistor count and the number of clocked transistors are significantly reduced to improve power consumption and speed in the flip-flop. The number of transistors is reduced by 56%-60% and the Area-Speed-Power product is reduced by 56%-63% compared to other double edge triggered flip-flops. This design is suitable for high-speed, low-power CMOS VLSI design applications
