ANALYSIS OF LATERAL STIFFNESS FOR INFILLED FRAME WITH OPENING
Analytical study of infilled frame with opening is done using finite element method. Lateral stiffness of the frame without infill, with infill and with having opening has been investigated. The effect of opening area against lateral stiffness of infilled frame has been worked out. The variation of aspect ratio, opening size with strut width reduction factor is derived. The effect of number of storey on lateral stiffness of structure is also included in the study
WATER QUALITY PREDICTION IN DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM USING CASCADE FEED FORWARD NEURAL NETWORK
Cascade feed forward ANN models have been developed by using pH, Alkalinity, Hardness, TS and MPN as the input variables to forecast water quality index (WQI) in the various zones of municipal distribution system. Different ANN models were developed using training data set and tested in order to determine optimum number of neurons in the hidden layer and best fitting transfer function. The study reveals that the predictions by logsigmoidal and pure linear transfer function are in good correlation with observed WQI as compared to tansigmoidal transfer function. It is also observed that the model performance changes considerably with change in hidden layer neurons. Hidden layer structure with seven neurons performs better, followed by hidden layer structure with four neurons and one neuron respectively
TENSION TEST ON MALE BAMBOO (DENDROCALMUS STRICTUS)
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world having growth up to 60 cm or more in a day. Bamboo has social, economic and cultural significance and are used extensively for building materials along with thousands of uses as a highly versatile raw material. The advantage of bamboo is- it is cheap, flexible, tough, high tensile, light weight material than the other materials like steel and can be used in various building works. Bamboo structures are light weight, earthquake resistant and cheaper. Bamboo can be used as a reinforcing material in various structural members. Bamboo is a green material for sustainable development and has various advantages over the other construction materials and is needed to use widely in construction. Male Bamboo or Dendrocalmus Strictus occupies total 53 percent of total bamboo area in India. Various mechanical properties of bamboo are required for its use as a structural material. DESIGN OF SCC MIXES BASED ON ORDINARY PORTLAND CEMENT – SP COMPATIBILITY STUDIES.
In The present study 4 superplasticizers were used and on the basis of the workability test on cement paste two SP’s were selected for further studies and to compare their effects on mortar properties such as workability, compressive strength, water reduction and tensile strength. Two different mortar mixes (1:1.5 & 1:2) were tested for three values of w/c ratio (0.3,0.35,and 0.4) for varying SP dosage i.e. from 0.6 to 2%. Further Design of Self Compacting Concrete by replacing Fly ash is proposed and the studies on fresh and hardened properties were conducted. The results showed that PCE type Superplasticizer is performing better than SNF type in terms of workability

Dr. Peng Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Belmont University. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focused on developing informatics tools to facilitate the clinical trial recruitment workflow. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University with a dissertation topic centered around the development of software architectures to improve the exchange and use of healthcare data. ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF DIGITAL PID CONTROLLER FOR PUSH-PULL DC/DC CONVERTER
This paper presents a method for the design and simulation of digital controller based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technique for DC/DC Push-Pull converter operating in continuous conduction mode. The Push-Pull converter is simulated using PSIM and controller is designed using MATLAB with the help of XILINX tool box. Using SimCoupler module in MATLAB, co-simulation of PSIM and MATLAB is obtained. The performance of FPGA based PID controller strategy is validated for line and load variations
Model Based Approach to Prevent SQL Injection Attacks on .NET Applications
Web applications support static and dynamic queries to access the database. Dynamic queries take input from the user and use that input to form the query. A user can give malicious input to the application which results in an incorrect query or an unauthorized query and performs vulnerable action on the database. In this paper, we presented an approach to prevent SQL injection attack (SQLIA) on .Net applications using static and dynamic analysis of the queries. The paper explains comparison of Dynamic query model and static query model in order to validate the query before sending it to the database. Improved Genetic Algorithm Based Classification
Classification is the supervised learning technique of data mining which is used to extract hidden useful knowledge over a large volume of databases by predicting the class values based on the predicting attribute values. Of the various techniques, the most widely talked ones include decision tree, probabilistic model and evolutionary algorithms. Recently, the probabilistic and evolutionary techniques are most worked upon, because of the fact that probabilistic models yields high accuracy when there is no attribute dependency in the existing problem and evolutionary algorithms are used to obtain optimal solution over a large search space very quickly when there is less information known about a problem and problem posses attribute dependency. Though there are tradeoffs in each model still there are scopes to improve upon the existing. The proposed approach improves the evolutionary technique such as genetic algorithm by improving the fitness function parameters. Also, in this we compare the genetic algorithm results with Naïve Bayes algorithm results. For the experimental work we have used the nursery data set taken from the UCI Machine Learning Repository
Defending Against Modern Threats in Web Applications
Web applications have become critical part of business. They hold a treasure trove of data behind their front ends. Now-adays attackers are well aware of the valuable information accessible through web applications, so website security has become a major problem today. The number of vulnerabilities have multiplied in recent years. Vulnerabilities like cross site scripting(XSS),sql injection and cross site request forgery(CSRF) has emerged as a major threat to web applications. So, in order to protect web applications from these modern threats, at first vulnerability assessment should be carried out from time to time and also some preventive techniques should be followed to prevent these threats. A Rule-based Approach for Effective Resource Provisioning in Hybrid Cloud Environment
Resource provisioning is important issue in cloud computing and in the environment of heterogeneous clouds. The private cloud with confidentiality data configure according to users need. But the scalability of the private cloud limited. If the resources private clouds are busy in fulfilling other requests then new request cannot be fulfilled. The new requests are kept in waiting queue to process later. It take lot of delay to fulfill these requests and costly. In this paper Rule Based Resource Manager proposed for the Hybrid environment, which increase the scalability of private cloud on-demand and reduce the cost. Also set the time for public cloud and private cloud to fulfill the request and provide the services in time.
