DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF THREE PHASE FIVE LEVEL AND SEVEN LEVEL INVERTER FED INDUCTION MOTOR DRIVE WITH TWO CASCADED H-BRIDGE CONFIGURATION
This paper deals with study of Three phase Five Level and Seven Level inverter fed induction motor drive . Both five level and seven level are realized by cascading two H- bridges. The poor quality of voltage and current of a conventional inverter fed induction machine is due to the presence of harmonics and hence there is significant level of energy losses. The Multilevel inverter is used to reduce the harmonics. The inverters with a large number of steps can generate high quality voltage waveforms. The higher levels can follow a voltage reference with accuracy and with the advantage that the generated voltage can be modulated in amplitude instead of pulse-width modulation. An active harmonic elimination method is applied to eliminate any number of specific higher order harmonics of multilevel converters with unequal dc voltages. The simulation of three phase five and seven level inverter fed induction motor model is done using Matlab/Simulink. The FFT spectrums for the outputs are analyzed to study the reduction in the harmonics
C&R Tree based Air Target Classification Using Kinematics
Since the improvement in Anti Radar Material technology and stealth technology grows, there are immense counter measures that have opened to deny such technologies for classification to the adversary. At the same time it is observed that radar is continuously tracking the air target. This track data represents the kinematics which can be efficiently manipulated for effective classification without being deceived. The present study uses decision tree based classifier, specifically Classification and Regression Tree (CRT) algorithm over certain significant feature vectors. It classifies the data set of an air target into a target class where feature vectors are derived from the Radar Track Data using Matlab code. The work presented here aims to assess the performance of CRT. Although the methods and results presented here are for Air Target Classification, they may give insight for other applications
Erosion Wear Behaviour of Bamboo/Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Based Hybrid Composites
Now-a-days, there is an increasing interest in hybrid composites made by combination of two or more different types of fiber in a common matrix because these materials offer a range of properties that cannot be attained with a single type of reinforcement. The fibres are either natural or synthetic and both types of fiber have advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, in this work a new class of hybrid composite reinforced with a synthetic fiber and a natural fiber is developed to get the advantage of both the fibres in terms of superior tribological properties and economy. The present research work is undertaken to investigate the erosion behaviour of short bamboo and glass fiber reinforced epoxy based hybrid composites
DETECTION AND REMOVAL OF BLACK HOLE IN MOBILE AD-HOC NETWORK (MANET)
This paper gives information about the detection technique of black hole in the MANET. An ad hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes that dynamically form a temporary network. It operates without the central administration. Hence it becomes more susptable to the attacker .Mostly used on- demand routing protocols used in Ad-Hoc networks is AODV (Ad-Hoc On demand DistanceVector) protocol. The security of the AODV protocol is compromised by a particular of attack called “Black Hole” attack. In this attack, a malicious node advertises itself as having the shortest path to the node whose packets it wants to intercept. To reduce the probability, it is proposed to wait and check the replies from all the neighboring nodes to find a safe route
FSM BASED DIGITAL WATERMARKING IN IP SECURITY
IP providers are in pressing need of a convenient means to track the illegal redistribution of the sold IPs. An active approach to protect a VLSI design against IP infringement is by embedding a signature that can only be uniquely generated by the IP author into the design during the process of its creation. a VLSI IP is developed in several levels of design abstraction with the help of many sophisticated electronic design automation tools. Each level of design abstraction involves solving some NP-complete optimization problems to satisfy a set of design constraints. In this paper, a new dynamic watermarking scheme is proposed. The watermark is embedded in the state transitions of FSM at the behavioral level
HRV ANALYSIS USING ECG AS DATA SOURCE
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a physical phenomenon where the time interval between heart beats varies. It is measured by the variation in the beat to beat interval. Abnormalities present in the time interval between R wave peaks in the Electro-cardiogram (ECG) indicate cardiac dysfunction. Autonomic Nervous System controls the cardiac activity of the body and provides the beat to beat regulation of the cardiovascular system. Thus Heart Rate Variability is an important tool to access autonomic function also. The source for HRV is a continuous beat to beat measurement of interbeat intervals. An ECG signal can be used as the data source for HRV analysis. In this study the HRV data is obtained from ECG signal and is processed to calculate spectral HRV index, LF/HF ratio
Automated Assessment of Short One-Line Free-Text Responses With Identifying Word Ordering
Assessment is an important activity in any educational process to evaluate the learner’s knowledge about the concepts learnt.. Evaluation through objective testing is common in all evaluation system, where Multiple Choice Questions, Fill in the Blanks, Matching etc. are used for evaluation. The method of objective testing is not sufficient to completely verify all the concepts learnt by the learner. Thus computer assisted assessment of short text answers is developed. Here we present a technique which also considers grammatical errors during automated evaluation of oneline sentence. In this paper we have define a set of evaluation criteria that covers all the relevant aspects of an essay assessment system and discussion on how this technique find syntactical errors during evaluation of student response
Automata for Web Services Fault Monitoring and Diagnosis
Like any software, web service fault management is also required to go through different phases of fault management lifecycle. Model based diagnosis has been a well established practice for its several positive aspects including cognitively being better understood by development and testing teams. Automata is a simple and formally well defined model being used for monitoring and diagnosis of system faults. For the reason, here we have reviewed works on automata for web service fault management and also propose a model of stochastic automata for the purpose
Design and Analysis of a Low Cost And Easy Operated Leg Mechanism For A Walking Robot
In this paper, several walking machines and robots have been conceived, designed and built in the last twenty years to open new fields of application. Compared to wheeled vehicles walking machines show the advantage that they can act in highly unstructured terrain without having prepared this terrain in advance by streets or rails. Legged robots cross obstacles more easily; depend less on the surface conditions and quality and, in general, exhibit better adaptability. In this paper a numerical and experimental analyses of a pantograph-leg are presented. In particular, a suitable model of the leg has been analyzed and Kinematics and Dynamics have been solved. A parametric study has been also carried out in order to investigate the influence of some basic design parameters on its motion capabilities
Privacy Preserved Centralized Model for Counter Terrorism
Privacy preservation is an important aspect in field of counter terrorism. In the present scenario terrorist attacks are biggest problem for the mankind and whole world is under constant threat from these well-planned, sophisticated and coordinated terrorist operations. Now every country is focusing for counter terrorism. Government agencies are collecting the data from various sources and using that data to connect the dots to detect the terrorist group’s activities and prevent the peoples from terrorist attacks. There are some chances that information may be misused by agencies. Different countries are having government agencies which are dealing with the counter terrorism but they are not sharing the data with each other because they don’t want to disclose sensitive data. Alone a country can’t fight against the terrorism. In this paper we are proposing a model so that these agencies can share the information without violation of the privacy
