Milk production is vital for human growth, especially in children. Ethiopia's "Yelemat Tirufat" initiative aims to boost dairy production and food security. This study assessed the microbiological quality and physio-chemical properties of raw milk in Maya City, Ethiopia, using 40 samples from four kebeles (10 per kebele) in a Completely Randomized Design with three replications. Analyses at Haramaya University's Microbiology and Biotechnology Laboratory examined temperature, pH, solid gravity, fat, and protein. Results showed low milk temperatures (19.0±1.00 to 20.3±2.08°C), unfavourable for bacterial growth, while pH remained within the acceptable range (6.60±0.05 to 6.73±0.110). Specific gravity varied, with Damota and Finqile (1.030±0.00, 1.04±0.20) exceeding the normal range (1.027-1.035), while Adele and Xiniqe (1.020±0.10, 1.028±0.30) aligned with Ethiopian standards. Protein content ranged from 3.33±0.15 to 3.50±0.25. Microbiological quality differed significantly, with bacterial counts in Adele, Damota, and Finqile (1.501±0.04, 1.499±0.34, 1.503±0.03) being similar, while Xiniqe (2.29±0.34) exceeded the allowable limit. Yeast and mould counts varied, with Adele, Xiniqe, and Finqile testing positive (1.000±0.70, 1.00±0.40, 2.000±0.60) and Damota testing negative (0.00), while coliform counts were low. Findings suggest the initiative raises awareness of proper milk processing, improving milk quality in selected kebeles. Strengthening hygiene practices and quality control in milk handling is recommended to further reduce contamination. Overall, the initiative positively impacts dairy quality, but continuous monitoring is essential for long-term improvement

Entrepreneurial Orientation and Business Sustainability among Youth-Owned Enterprises in Senegal

Youth entrepreneurship has become a strategic priority for economic development and employment generation in Senegal; however, many youth-owned enterprises struggle to achieve long-term sustainability. This study examines the influence of Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) on Business Sustainability among youth-owned enterprises in Senegal using a quantitative research design. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among youth entrepreneurs aged 18–35 years across multiple business sectors. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that Entrepreneurial Orientation significantly and positively influences Business Sustainability (R² = 0.610, p < 0.001), indicating that EO explains 61% of the variance in sustainability outcomes. All five EO dimensions—innovativeness, proactiveness, risk-taking, competitive aggressiveness, and autonomy—demonstrate significant positive effects. Among them, proactiveness emerges as the strongest predictor, followed by autonomy and innovativeness. The results suggest that youth-owned enterprises that anticipate market changes, exercise independent strategic decision-making, and pursue innovative practices are more likely to achieve long-term viability. This study contributes to entrepreneurship literature by extending EO research to sustainability outcomes within a West African youth context. The findings provide practical implications for policymakers and entrepreneurship development programs seeking to strengthen youth enterprise resilience and sustainable economic participation in Senegal

The Role of Innovation Mediation in the Influence of Organizational Wisdom and Organizational Identification on Lecturer Performance: A Study at Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Universities in West Kalimantan

This study aims to examine the mediating role of innovation in the relationship between Organizational Wisdom and organizational identification on lecturer performance at Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Universities in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. A quantitative survey approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to permanent lecturers. The population consisted of 221 lecturers across three institutions, and 100 respondents were selected using quota sampling to ensure proportional representation. Data were analyzed using statistical regression and mediation analysis techniques. The findings reveal that Organizational Wisdom has a positive and significant effect on innovation and lecturer performance. Organizational identification positively influences lecturer performance but shows a negative effect on innovation. Innovation itself has a positive effect on lecturer performance. However, mediation analysis indicates that innovation does not mediate the relationship between Organizational Wisdom and lecturer performance, nor between organizational identification and lecturer performance. These results suggest that improving lecturer performance requires strengthening organizational policies that directly enhance performance and fostering well-managed organizational identification. Although innovation contributes positively to performance, its mediating role remains limited. This study offers a comprehensive model integrating Organizational Wisdom, organizational identification, and innovation within Islamic-based higher education institutions, providing new insights into performance enhancement strategies in religious-based universities.

The Influence of Overconfidence, Herding Behavior, and Self-Control on Investment Decisions: Moderation of Financial Literacy among Stock Investors in Pontianak City

Sound investment decisions are essential for achieving long-term financial goals, yet many investors are influenced by behavioral biases rather than rational analysis, particularly in regions with rapid investor growth and limited financial literacy. This study examines the effects of overconfidence, herding behavior, and self-control on stock investment decisions, with financial literacy as a moderating variable, among stock investors in Pontianak City. This research employed an associative quantitative approach using primary data collected through questionnaires from 150 stock investors. The variables analyzed included overconfidence, herding behavior, self-control, investment decisions, and financial literacy. Data were analyzed using instrument tests, classical assumption tests, and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), supported by correlation, determination, F-test, and t-test analyses with SPSS. The results indicate that overconfidence, herding behavior, and self-control simultaneously have a significant effect on investment decisions. Partially, overconfidence and self-control significantly influence investment decisions, while herding behavior does not. Financial literacy significantly strengthens the relationship between overconfidence and investment decisions but does not moderate the effects of herding behavior and self-control. The inclusion of financial literacy increased the model’s explanatory power from 28.4% to 38.4%. The study concludes that behavioral biases, particularly overconfidence, play a crucial role in investment decisions, and financial literacy serves as an important moderating factor in reducing irrational decision-making among investors

Academic Overthinking: When Students Put Too Much Pressure on Success

Academic success has become a central measure of personal value and future opportunity within contemporary education systems, often placing students under intense pressure to perform. While motivation and achievement are widely emphasized, excessive cognitive engagement with academic outcomes can lead to maladaptive patterns of thinking commonly referred to as academic overthinking. This study presents a literature review that synthesizes existing scholarly work on academic overthinking, with particular attention to its conceptualization, contributing factors, impacts on students, and proposed coping strategies. Drawing on peer-reviewed articles and academic publications from diverse educational and psychological perspectives, the review identifies academic overthinking as a persistent pattern of rumination characterized by excessive self-monitoring, fear of failure, and heightened concern over academic evaluation. The findings indicate that academic overthinking is shaped by a combination of internal factors, such as maladaptive perfectionism and low academic self-efficacy, and external influences, including competitive academic environments, parental expectations, and performance-oriented institutional cultures. The review further highlights that academic overthinking is associated with adverse psychological outcomes, including anxiety, stress, burnout, and reduced self-esteem, as well as academic consequences such as procrastination, reduced engagement, and diminished learning satisfaction. Importantly, the literature underscores the need for both individual-level and institutional-level interventions that promote adaptive motivation, cognitive regulation, and supportive learning climates. This study contributes to a clearer understanding of academic overthinking as a distinct educational phenomenon and emphasizes the importance of balancing academic achievement with student well-being in modern education systems

Environmental Management Strategy Based on Sustainable Development in the African Continent

Study on environmental management strategies based on sustainable development in the African continent, and it is conducted by applying a systematic literature review of study on the topic. In Africa, the environmental issues that are faced are out of proportion, and they include the exposure to climate change, poor land condition, biodiversity loss, water shortage, and high urbanization rates, as compared to the minimal contribution to global emissions. Based on the academic literature as well as institutional reports obtained in organizations like the United Nations Environment Programmed, the African Union, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, this study synthesizes the primary strategic approaches implemented in the African regions. The results demonstrate that the environmental governance systems are becoming more consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda 2063 focusing on climate adaptation, renewable energy transitions, community-based management of natural resources, transboundary water governance, and green economy activities. Nonetheless, implementation gaps persist largely due to institutional disunity, inadequate technical capacity, inefficient funding as well as governance discrepancies. It is seen that the policy ambition is strong, but the operational effectiveness is significantly different among countries and regions. The African environment requires greater institutionalization, greater effort at enforcing regulations, increased community involvement and long-term funding to manage the environment. This research paper concludes that closing the gap between the strategic commitments on the one hand and practical implementation on the other hand is the key to the achievement of long-term environmental resilience and inclusive development across the continent
