This paper compares the company's ability to sustain a diversified resource base for long-term service to its customers without need for external funding sources through two stressful systems of financial markets, the financial crisis aftermath 2008 and the COVID-19 epidemic. Our findings indicate that financial sustainability has been affected by disasters. Banks can impose significant risks on the economy, one of the main concerns about the causes of the current financial crisis is that banks engaged in excessive risk-taking, it has faced during the 2008 crisis liquidity and credit risks, while Through the 2020 crisis which is the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the most significant financial risks that banks experienced were credit risks due to banks ’dependence on traditional, weak, safe assets, including the dollar, the Swiss franc, and other treasury bonds during the COVID-19 pandemic. This led to a lack of cash reserves held by banks, which led to weak investor tolerance towards financial risks, especially as the nature of crises is changing, as the results have proven that departures from riskiest directorships are more beneficial during the COVID-19 crisis because managers deal with the crisis in the same way as a crisis 2008 On the other hand, departures from riskiest directorships lead to higher administrative costs due to a lack of expertise

    Get PDF
The management of the effects of climate change in Asian nations is the focus of this review of the literature. Asia is a region with great cultural, geographical, and socioeconomic variety. The review emphasizes the importance of management principles, which, despite their universal relevance, call for careful adaptation in order to successfully handle the many problems that climate change presents. Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling are among the management principles that are acknowledged as essential instruments for sound decision-making and strategy implementation. They act as an all-encompassing framework that cuts beyond divisions of labor and industry. While organization guarantees effective strategy execution, planning establishes precise climate-related objectives and distributes resources. Leadership encourages a culture of environmental responsibility and inspires support for climate measures among stakeholders. Finally, control entails monitoring development and making necessary strategy adjustments. However, understanding the regional and cultural differences among Asian nations is necessary for the effective application of management principles. It is essential to strike the correct balance between specialization and universality. Additionally crucial to adjusting to the ever-changing difficulties of climate change are inventiveness and flexibility. Futures in Asia that are climate resilient are built on the understanding that management concepts are universal and can be tailored to particular situations. The insights gleaned from this analysis are priceless in tackling the effects of climate change on a worldwide scale. In the diverse and dynamic landscape of Asian countries, they underscore the significance of management concepts in fostering sustainability, resilience, and environmental responsibility

Atherothrombotic, which is an atherosclerotic inflammation with thrombus, is characterized by damage to blood vessels that causes myocardial infarction and isemic stroke with thrombolytic treatment. The side effects of thrombolytic treatment are the cause of the importance of alternative medicine from natural ingredients. The ethyl acetate fraction in Phyllanthus niruri L. is suspected to have thrombolytic activity due to the content of coumarin and flavonoid bioactive compounds based on research that has been done. The purpose of this study was to determine the thrombolytic activity of the ethyl acetate fraction of Phyllanthus niruri L. Thrombolytic activity test is done by measuring the percentage of clot lysis. This study used a true experimental method with a Post Test Only Control Group Design model in 6 treatments, positive control, negative control (PBS and 0.5% DMSO) and four samples for both tests, namely 250 g/mL, 500 g/mL, 1000 g/mL, 2000 g/mL. The results of statistical analysis showed that the data were normally distributed (Shapiro Wilk, p>0.05). The result of the largest clot lysis thrombolytic test was 24.43% (2000ppm) smaller than the positive control 46.33%. The results of the thrombolytic ANOVA test showed that there was no significant difference between treatments, p<0.05, namely 0.017 and F Count > F Table, namely 0.937>3.11. Based on the results, it was found that the ethyl acetate fraction of the herb Phyllanthus niruri L. had a thrombolytic substance with low potency

Narrative Deconstruction and Dystopian Possibilities: Identity, Time, and Space in Paul Auster's ‘Man in the Dark’

    Get PDF
Auster uses a complicated network of tales in which the presence of a conventional narrator stays elusive and the unique identity of the protagonist becomes mysterious to expertly immerse the reader into his literary works. Paul Auster uses a dual narrative framework in his work "Man in the Dark," with characters whose identities are not entirely clear, to question the veracity of grand stories. Because it tends to ignore the variety of voices present in literary works, Lyotard's theoretical framework on postmodernism scrutinizes the idea of embracing great narratives.  Brill and Brick are essentially the same person in the story, although they have different goals and responsibilities. Brill crafts a story well and on purpose, trying to create an imaginary storyline revolving around the persona of Brick. Throughout his investigation into an America that differs from the current political status quo, Brill uses Brick as a surrogate character, a kind of created embodiment of his own identity. The novel's examination of dystopian themes, identity issues, and spatial and temporal confusion serves to highlight the possibilities of storytelling in its many forms. This literary work successfully challenges the truth of tales offered by interrogating the chronological link between the past and the present via the prism of reinterpretations and imaginations. Auster expertly constructs and deconstructs identities and narratives within an American setting in his writing. His skillful writing implies that the hidden or ignored details of these stories weaken the overall story and cast doubt on its veracity
