Patient care can be viewed as the prevention, treatment, and management of illness and the preservation of physical and mental well-being through the use of modern medicine. The setting where patient care takes place can be narrowed down by two categories: Inpatient and Outpatient care. Both of these treatment methods have benefits and drawbacks as one requires hospitalization and the other does not. The purpose of this project is to construct a decision support system based on laboratory screening of patients to determine whether it is more optimal to have a patient visit in a hospital (inpatient) or an outpatient setting.Biomedical and Health InformaticsBichindaritz, Isabell
