    No full text
This study aims to develop a student engagement scale by testing the validity and reliability of the measuring instrument so that it can measure the level of student engagement. Student engagement is a factor that determines student success in academic terms, including behavioral, cognitive, and emotional involvement. The research method used is quantitative research. Data collection using convenience sampling obtained 315 students at SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya. Data analysis used validity and reliability tests, including confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results showed a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.888, consisting of 34 items. In addition, CFA analysis using a GFI value of 0.960 and an RMSEA of 0.072 showed that the student engagement scale had high validity. However, the CFI value of 0.716 indicates that the student engagement measurement tool is not sufficiently reliable, requiring improvement so that the student engagement scale can be used optimally

Synergistic Impact of High-Fat Diets and Smoking on Cardiovascular Health: A Literature Review

    No full text
Cardiovascular disease continues to be a global public health challenge with multiple complex risk factors. The combination of high-fat diet and smoking habits has a synergistic effect that increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. This study aimed to determine the relationship between a high-fat diet and smoking habits and cardiovascular disease, and to emphasize the importance of dual interventions targeting dietary changes and smoking cessation as the primary strategy to reduce the burden of coronary heart disease and stroke. This study used a literature review method. The results of this study indicate that smoking and excessive fat consumption are two major risk factors contributing to the increasing incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Smoking has been shown to accelerate the process of atherosclerosis by increasing blood pressure, vascular inflammation, and decreasing HDL cholesterol levels. Consuming saturated fat makes this condition worse by raising levels of easily oxidized LDL cholesterol and lowering levels of HDL cholesterol, which speeds up the accumulation of plaque in blood vessels.  Nutritional interventions like lowering saturated fat and raising MUFA intake through a nutritious diet, like the Mediterranean diet, can lower this risk.  This all-encompassing approach is anticipated to dramatically lower the incidence of coronary heart disease in at-risk groups when paired with smoking cessation initiatives

Healthy food innovations are urgently needed to address the rising prevalence of obesity and diabetes caused by excessive sugar consumption. Therefore, choosing healthy snacks or foods is crucial in today's era to avoid unwanted diseases. This study aims to develop a low-calorie apple pie product with natural  honey sweetener as a healthy snack alternative. The method used is a research and development model  (R7D) 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Deploy). The apple pie product is formulated using apples as a source  of fiber and antioxidants, and honey as a natural sweetener to replace sugar. Nutritional content calculations  show that one serving of apple pie contains 84 kcal, categorizing it as a low-calorie snack. Organoleptic tests on 30 respondents indicated good acceptance, particularly in terms of taste (57% strongly liked, 33%  liked), and appearance (37% strongly liked, 43% liked). Thus, this low-calorie apple pie innovation has the  potential to become a diet-friendly dessert alternative that can be consumed by various groups, including  diabetics, obese individuals, and those on a low-calorie diet

Work stress is a serious challenge in the health sector, affecting productivity and service quality. This study aims to analyze the level of work stress by division in the Health Office of City X using a quantitative cross-sectional approach involving 115 respondents in 2025. The results show that 53% of employees experience work stress, with disparities across divisions: Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) recorded the highest prevalence (66.7%), followed by Health Services (60%), and Public Health (54.2%), while Health Resources (SDK) had the lowest rate (36%). Employees with less than 8 years of service were more prone to stress (59.6%) compared to those with ≥8 years of experience (48.5%). Task complexity showed a unique pattern, with high stress levels in both low (57.1%) and high (54.8%) complexity tasks, indicating that both monotonous and challenging work carry risks. These findings highlight the importance of division-based interventions, such as workload redistribution in P2P and stress management training for new employees. The study recommends a periodic assessment system and mental health protection policies in accordance with Law No. 17 of 2023. This research contributes to occupational health literature by emphasizing a contextual approach to stress mitigation

The Dynamics of an Ex-Partner's Presence at a Wedding: Between Reality, Viral Content, and Its Impact on Marital Harmony

    No full text
This study aims to explore the reality and impact of viral content dramatizing the presence of ex-partners at weddings on the harmony of married couples and analyze this phenomenon through Erving Goffman’s Dramaturgical theory. The research employs a literature study and qualitative research methods, with data sources from relevant books, journals, and websites. The data are analyzed descriptively and analytically using dramaturgical theory. The study’s findings reveal that the presence of ex-partners at weddings turned into viral content, which is often a deliberate action to seek attention and public validation. This phenomenon, however, can lead to discomfort and tension for the married couple, significantly impacting the wedding atmosphere and creating psychological distress. The viral content, designed to elicit empathy by highlighting a narrative of suffering, reflects a pursuit of social media popularity that can disrupt the harmony of newly married couples. Moreover, the long-term effects of this phenomenon involve changes in social norms and individual behaviours, which are increasingly influenced by digital platforms. Using Erving Goffman’s Dramaturgical Theory, this study reveals that this phenomenon can be seen as a “performance” on the social media stage, where individuals strive to control how the public perceives them. Married couples are forced to play a role in the drama created by the ex-partner, which can create tension in their newly formed relationship. Therefore, education about digital ethics and the importance of maintaining privacy boundaries becomes increasingly relevant to mitigate the negative impacts of this phenomenon, enabling society to use social media more wisely and to maintain interpersonal relationship harmony in the digital age
