Antibacterial Activity of Ethanol Extract and Fraction of Daemonorops draco (Willd.) Blume. Fruit
No full textDaemonorops draco is a type of draco (Willd.) Blume fruit is well-known as an antiseptic, increases blood circulation, anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-tumor, wound medicine, diarrhea, fractures, gonorrhea, mild burns, and other traditional medicines. Daemonorops draco is a type of draco (Willd.) Blume belongs to the Arecaceae family and contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids / triterpenoids, and glycosides, among other chemical components. Chemical compounds such as flavonoid compounds, saponins, and tannins have antibacterial and antiviral properties. Simplicia features, phytochemical screening, and antibacterial activity testing of ethanol extract and fruit fractions of Daemonorops draco (Willd.) Blume are all part of this study. Organoleptic, macroscopic, and microscopic tests were performed on the simplicia, as well as water content measurement on ethanol extracts. Maceration with ethanol as the solvent was followed by fractionation with n-hexane and ethylacetate as solvents. The phytochemical screening was done on Daemonorops draco (Willd.) Blume simplicia powder, extract, and fruit fraction. The antibacterial activity of each fraction was determined by examining the zone of inhibition against different test species, including Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25923), Escherichia coli (ATCC 25922), and Salmonella typhi (ATCC 25923). (ATCC 6539). The water content of the simplicia was 4.65 percent, and the ethanol extract was 5.98 percent, according to the results of the characterisation. Alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins, tannins, and steroids/triterpenoids were found in the phytochemical screening test of the ethanol extract. At a concentration of 25 mg/ml, Staphylococcus aureus had the highest antibacterial activity with an effective inhibitory diameter of 15.3 mm, Escherichia coli had the highest antibacterial activity with an effective inhibitory diameter of 14.2 mm, and Salmonella typhi had the highest antibacterial activity with an effective inhibitory diameter of 14.5 mm
Do Characteristics And Political Background Of Regional Heads Influence Financial Performance Of Local Governments In Indonesia?
Get PDFThe present research aims at examining the influence of characteristics and political background of regional heads on financial performance of local governments in Indonesia. The population in the present research includes local governments in Indonesia. The samples are second level of local governments in Java. The total number of final samples is 112. Data comprise the APBD realization reports, data fromofficial websites of local governments, and data from official website of the Local Government Election Commission. Panel data regression was employed for data analysis. The results of the present studyindicate that educational background and level of education exert an influence on financial performance of local governments. Meanwhile, tenure, age, and political background do not have a significant influence on financial performance of local governments. The present research was only conducted at second level of local governments in Java in 2016—2018. The present research gives contribution to the literature of local government performance, especially from the perspectives of financial performance of second level local governments in Java Island. Research on the use of political background has rarely been conducted to assess financial performance of local governments
Mediation Role of Job Satisfaction on the Influence of Emotional Intelligence and Transformational Leadership on Organizational Commitment

In this study, using associative research with a sample of 81 respondents who are employees of the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office. Data collection techniques using interviews and a list of statements such as questionnaires and data analysis techniques using partial least squares (smartpls) to test the seven hypotheses proposed in this study. The results of the research show that emotional intelligence has no effect on organizational commitment, transformational leadership has no effect on organizational commitment, emotional intelligence has a significant effect on job satisfaction, transformational leadership has a significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has no significant effect on organizational commitment, emotional intelligence has a significant effect on commitment. organization through job satisfaction (in other words job satisfaction acts as a mediator)

No full textThe coronavirus spread has been the main issue among Acehnese people since it occurred. Every day, people get infected; some people also are starting to recover from the coronavirus. The governments have been working to reduce the risked people and infected victims by providing various personal protective equipment and educating the public about the virus and its threats. Those all require society to obey them, such as wearing masks to avoid being infected or transmit to other people. Until now, the spread of the coronavirus is also very high trending. The Covid-19 task force in Jakarta on February 16th, 2021 recorded that the ratio of coronavirus cases has reached 38.34 percent. This figure shows the highest daily record since the pandemic took place. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection was performed by interviewing several communities in the Johan Pahlawan sub-district, monitoring and observing in the field, and reading relevant sources. The study found a low level of community compliance with health protocols. The use of masks is still very lacking; people only wear masks when raids are carried out on the streets by joint government officials

Isolation Of Chitosan From Cuttlefish Bones
No full textOne of the potential natural resources in Indonesia is the abundance of natural resources in the marine sector. The survey results show that the sale of cuttlefish in the market indicates that the demand for cuttlefish is very high. Cuttlefish is a type of marine animal that is widely consumed by the public because of its very high protein content, but the part used from this cuttlefish is the meat, while the squid bones are discarded. Cuttlefish bone is one of the natural ingredients that contains chitin, and when the isolation process is carried out with the stages of deproteinization, demineralization, and deacetylation, it can produce chitosan compounds. The aim of the study was to isolate chitosan from cuttlefish bones. Isolation of chitosan includes 3 basic stages, namely deproteinization, demineralization, and deacetylation. Then the characteristics of chitosan from cuttlefish bones are analyzed, namely water content analysis, ash content, protein content, ninhydrin test, and FT-IR characteristics. The results of characteristic testing of 8.04% water content, 1.73% ash content, and 4.8% protein content, ninhydrin test results showed that cuttlefish bone chitosan had an amine group, and FT-IR results showed that the absorption bands of C-O and C-N groups. The conclusion of this study shows that chitosan can be isolated from cuttlefish bones

The research method in this study uses a literature review approach, precisely systematic review with the collection of reputable journal-based data obtained from searches on google scholar databases as well as qualitative methodologies for evaluating and synthesizing findings from several studies in the past. The results showed that some studies on consumer preferences for local cuisine were influenced by some predictors of consumer attitudes towards local cuisine. The collected data is then analyzed to obtain useful information to solve a problem in research. The process of testing the validity and reliability in this study uses a triangulation process. In this study, to measure Quality Risk Management, FMEA is used as a tool to measure or identify the source or cause of a quality problem. The next method to solve problems or risks in Quality Risk Management is AHP. The results of the study can be concluded that, Quality Risk Management in the distribution of Infusion products. The risk with the highest RPN value is the risk of damaged goods in the distribution flow of releasing goods from the warehouse to the expedition of PT. BSP which causes a leak in the softbag packaging. These risks are then analyzed to find the best alternative for handling them. Determine alternative handling of Quality Risk Management in the distribution of Infusion products at PT. BSP using the AHP method. Based on calculations using Expert Choice 11 software, the priority criteria are time and handling effectiveness which has the highest pairwise comparison value is the alternative of adding product handling information labels on cardboard packaging
Influence Of Internal Control System Weaknesses And Audit Quality On The Quality Of Local Government Financial Reports In Indonesia With Good Government Governance As Moderating
No full textThe purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of internal control system weaknesses and audit quality on the quality of financial reports in district and city governments in Indonesia, using Good Government Governance as a moderating variable. The Partial Least Squares-SmartPLS analytic approach is used in this study, which includes data from 2,155 observations from 508 district and municipal administrations in Indonesia since the implementation of the accrual-based accounting system from 2015 to 2019. The findings of this study show that (1) internal control system weaknesses have a positive and significant effect on the quality of local government financial reports; (2) audit quality has a positive and significant effect on the quality of local government financial reports; (3) good government governance can weaken the relationship between internal control system weaknesses and the quality of local government financial reports; and (4) good government governance can weaken the relationship between internal control system weaknesses and the quality of local government financial reports. This study sheds new light on the relationship between internal control system weaknesses and the quality of public sector audits since the adoption of the accrual-based accounting system, as well as the quality of local government financial reports, with Good Government Governance acting as a moderator.
