Slum Structuring Strategy With Collective Housing Concept

    No full text
Telaga Tujuh Village, located in West Langsa Sub-district, Langsa City, on the eastern tip of Aceh, has a very high population density. In addition, 373 housing units in the village do not meet the technical criteria set out in the Minister of Public Works and Housing Regulation No.02/PRT/M/2016, and the city has limited access to critical infrastructure. Based on seven criteria, including building regularity, neighborhood road network, neighborhood drainage, drinking water needs, wastewater management system, waste management facilities and infrastructure, and fire protection facilities, Telaga Tujuh Village is classified as a severe slum, with an average slum rate of 100%. Discovering the structural needs of the slum environment in Telaga Tujuh Village and creating a structural design is the objective of this study. Five indicators - on-site upgrading, on-site relocation, on-site redevelopment, land sharing, and relocation - were used in the communal housing methodology in this study. On-site redevelopment was chosen as the minimum solution after the five indicators were selected using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. After on-site redevelopment, the settlement pattern in this area is in the form of an iron grid, with main centers-the construction of places of worship, village halls, auxiliary health centers (pustu), and village offices that function as government and community service centers-and supporting centers-education and neighborhoods-by providing public open spaces

Implementation Of The Support Vector Machine Method In Predicting Student Graduation

    No full text
Student graduation is an important indicator of the quality of education at a higher education institution. A high graduation rate not only indicates success in the learning process but also has a positive impact on the reputation of the institution. Conversely, a low graduation rate can be a signal of problems that require special attention. Various factors, both academic and non-academic, influence higher education institutions in ensuring timely student graduation. Therefore, we need a method that can accurately predict student graduation to carry out early intervention. This study aims to apply the support vector machine method in predicting student graduation. We chose this method due to its capacity to classify complex data. We use historical student data, such as Semester Achievement Index scores, as input variables to build a prediction model. We evaluate the model using precision, recall, and f1-score metrics. According to the study's findings, the support vector machine model's accuracy level is 71.20%. This method is good at predicting students who graduate with a precision of 95%, recall of 72%, and f1-score of 82%. However, the model's performance in predicting students who failed was less than satisfactory, with a precision of only 17%, a recall of 62%, and an f1-score of 26%. The imbalance in data between passed and failed students contributed to this result. The Support Vector Machine method effectively predicts student graduation for the majority class (passed), but requires special handling of the data imbalance to enhance the accuracy of predictions for the minority class (failed). Universities expect to use the results of this study to carry out early intervention and increase student graduation rates. &nbsp

The level of public satisfaction with health services is an important indicator that reflects the quality of services provided by a hospital. XYZ Hospital, as one of the main health service providers, strives to continuously improve the quality of its services by understanding and evaluating the level of patient satisfaction. However, challenges arise when it comes to accurately identifying and predicting patient satisfaction, given the diverse characteristics of patients and the complexity of the services provided. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the level of public satisfaction with XYZ Hospital services using the K-Nearest Neighbors method. This study employs a quantitative approach by utilizing patient satisfaction data obtained through a survey. We then analyze the data using the K-Nearest Neighbors method, known for its effectiveness in classifying based on data proximity. We carry out the model performance evaluation process through an evaluation matrix that includes accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results of the study show that the K-Nearest Neighbors model is able to classify patient satisfaction with an accuracy value of 94%, precision of 97.67%, recall of 95.45%, and F1-Score of 96.55%. These results indicate that the K-Nearest Neighbors model is not only accurate in predicting patient satisfaction but also consistent in classifying patients who are satisfied and dissatisfied. The study's conclusion is that the K-nearest neighbors method is very effective in analyzing and predicting the level of patient satisfaction at XYZ Hospital. This study makes a significant contribution by utilizing the K-Nearest Neighbors model as a potent predictive tool for assessing patient satisfaction, a tool hospitals can employ to enhance service quality. We hope that further development will enable the larger-scale implementation of this model, thereby enhancing the quality of health services across various hospitals

    No full text
Drought is a climatic phenomenon that can significantly disrupt the growth and reduce the yield of rice plants. Inoculation of rhizobacteria can increase the yield of rice plants under drought stress conditions. The research was conducted at the Agrotechnology Laboratory of Agronomy Unit and Experimental Garden II of Faculty of Agriculture, Halu Oleo University, Kendari from October 2024 to January 2025. The treatments in this study were drought stress and rhizobacterial isolates. Drought stress treatment consisted of control (K0), 25% drought stress (K1), 50% drought stress (K2) and 75% drought stress (K3) while rhizobacterial treatment consisted of control (B0), isolate DMSJ 3 (B1) and isolate DSK 3 (B2). Each treatment was repeated 3 times, the treatment pots were arranged according to a split-plot design consisting of 5 polybags. Observational data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance at the real level ? 0.05 and will be further tested with DMRT ? 0.05 if it shows a significant effect. The results showed that inoculation of rhizobacterial isolates DMSJ 3 and DSK 3 was able to increase plant yield under drought stress conditions characterized by an increase in the number of productive tillers, flag leaf area, flowering age, total grain per panicle, percentage of filled grain per panicle, 1000 grain weight, grain weight per panicle, yield and drought tolerance index. Isolates DMSJ 3 and DSK 3 have the same ability to increase yield and induce resistance of rice plants to drought stress conditions

This study examined the control of thrips through technical culture on tomato plants by combining soil amendments and UV plastic shade. An experiment was conducted in dry land in Gumantar village, North Lombok Regency, from May to September 2024. This study tested three levels of soil amendments (without soil amendments, with chicken manure, and biochar) and two levels of shade (without shade and with UV plastic shade). The treatments were arranged factorially using a randomized block design with three replications. The population of thrips, both larvae and imago, and the intensity of thrips pest attacks were observed. The results showed an interaction between soil amendments and UV plastic shelters in suppressing the first instar larvae of thrips pests on young leaves. The soil amendment factor significantly affected the presence of first instar larvae on old and young leaves. The UV plastic shelter treatment had a significant impact on all observation parameters, namely thrips pest imago on old and young leaves, first instar larvae on old and young leaves, second instar larvae on old and young leaves, and the intensity of thrips pest attacks

Short-Circuit Analysis of the Saparua Distribution Feeder Network

    No full text
Short-circuit faults are a type of disturbance that impedes the transmission of electrical energy. To protect equipment from the impact of such faults, short-circuit analysis is conducted. In this study, the magnitudes of phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground short-circuit currents are calculated, along with the determination of overcurrent relay and circuit breaker ratings on the distribution network of PT PLN Saparua Rayon, Maluku. The analysis is carried out using ETAP software on generator busbars and feeders at various fault locations. PT PLN (Persero) Saparua Rayon operates four feeders: Saparua, Pohar, Tenggara (Southeast), and Hatawano. Simulation results show that the Saparua feeder has the highest fault current at bus 6 under an L-L-G fault condition, while the Tenggara, Hatawano, and Pohar feeders exhibit their highest fault currents at the generator bus under an L-G fault. It is evident that the L-L-G (double line-to-ground) fault consistently generates the highest short-circuit current when compared to other types of faults such as L-L (line-to-line) and three-phase faults. This type of fault involves a direct connection between two phases and the ground, resulting in a larger fault current due to lower overall impedance at the fault point. Furthermore, it was observed that the magnitude of the short-circuit current decreases progressively with increasing distance from the power source. This behavior is primarily due to the increase in line impedance along the distribution path, which naturally limits the fault current as it travels farther from the generation point. In summary, the farther the location of the fault from the generator, the lower the resulting short-circuit current, which highlights the critical role of impedance in fault current behavior across the distribution network
