    The development of interactive learning media in computer and basic networks subject on computer and netwroks engineering of SMKN 2 Lubuk Basung

    The purpose of this research is to develop interactive learning media on computer and basic networks subject that are valid, practical and effective. This reasearch is used the Four-D design model that is applied to develop and test the validity, practicality and effectiveness of interactive learning media in computer and basic networkinglearning. The research is used the Four-D model include defining, designing, developing, and distributing. The results of the validity test on interactive learning media are valid. Based on teachers and students responses about instructional media shows the results of interactive learning media are very practical and learning outcomes from students indicate the learning media has been effectively used for computer and basic networkinglearning. The analysis resultshows that interactive learning media is better in improving student learning processes

    Effectiveness of development of diva learning management system models on Algorithm and Programming Mathematics Course

    The development of the DIVA Learning Management System learning model is an increase in student understanding based on problems because learning algorithms and programming is indicated to be low in students\u27 understanding that is abstract in the subjects of algorithms and programming. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to develop a DIVA Learning Management System model that has effectiveness. The methodology used is quasi experimental design in the form of nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. This study found the DIVA Learning Management System learning model with the syntax: a) Display; b) Information Search; c) Virtual Problem Solving; and d) Appraisal, and products from: (1) DIVA learning management system learning model (2) learning tools; (3) modules; and (4) learning media. Analysis of research data shows the learning model DIVA Learning Management System In the effectiveness test of media use for lecturers 92.3% is effectively used and for student learning outcomes with pre-test and post-test test scores can be seen from the achievement score of each respondent. The gain score results indicate the achievement score is at the level of 0.486 with the interpretation that overall an increase in scores after being given treatment to respondents.     Validity Trainer Tool As Learning Media for Electric Power Distribution System

    Electric Power Distribution System Learning has demands for learning outcomes so that students understand the concept, and have basic knowledge and skills in various constructions of electric power distribution networks. This requires varied and more contextual learning methods and requires contextual learning media as well. The learning media used should be able to provide real experiences for students in simulating the electric power distribution system according to the concepts they are learning. However, the ability of students in the configuration of various distribution networks has problems because there is no suitable learning media. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a valid power distribution system trainer for use in learning. This study aims to produce a valid electric power distribution system trainer. This type of research is research & development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. Research is limited to the development stage (development). The validation test was carried out by 4 validators using an instrument in the form of a validation sheet. The results of the validation show that the electric power distribution system trainer developed is in the valid category, both for content quality aspects and objectives, instructional, and technical.     The development of Kolb Learning Style and 4c\u27s 21st century skill integration e-book in Pedagogy Subject

    This research was based on the demands of the 21st century in which teachers should have 4 skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication).  Teachers are required to change the way of teaching that initially (teacher-centered) turns into (student-centered) and able to participate to follow the development of technology. Therefore,  E-book learning is needed that can present material pedagogy integrated with kolb learning and 4C\u27s. This research aims to produce the final product in the form of valid e-book media learning, practical and effective in pedagogy subject. This was a research and development (Research and Development) research. This development research used ADDIE development model consisting of 5 stages which were Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Based on the results, e-book validation testing conducted by three validators, it obtained Aiken\u27s score 0.9 with a valid category. The test results practicalities of the teachers and the students were 86% in the practical category. The effectiveness test results was 89.65%. Thus, it can be concluded that this research has produced a pedagogical e-book which is valid, practical and effective

    Development of mobile-learning media on Basic Electricity and Electronics Subject

    In the learning process of basic electricity and electronics subject, students face problems in understanding the material because it is considered as difficult without supported of adequate media. Then, the time allocation for basic electricity and electronics learning in the classroom is only four hours in a week, thus the material delivering is considered as not optimally to students. Therefore, teaching learning process needs to be supported by suitable and adequate media. The purpose of this research is mobile based learning media that is valid, practical and effective for Basic Electricity and Electronics subjects. The method of this research is Research and Development (R&D). This research and development used the Borg and Gall model that consists of several stages. The instrument used in this research is validation questionnaire that was given to material experts and media experts. The results obtained from this development research are a learning media based on mobile learning in the Basic Electricity and Electronics subjects. Based on research developed media are valid media, with the results of media validation of 0.84 and material validation of 0.74. The practical value of the results of the teacher\u27s response of 94% and student responses of 84.24% were categorized very practical. From the posttest scores students get effective results that is 0.00 which is smaller than 0.005 which means that it is significant from the value of the experimental class and the control class

    Fatigue analysis to driver of intercity in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia a case study of Padang – Bukittinggi – Payakumbuh route

    Traffic accidents were common problems in the implementation of a transportation system, including in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. Traffic accidents that occur every year were the evidence by the number of traffic accidents that occur every year. One of the causes of traffic violations that result in accidents is the risk of driver fatigue while working. This study analyzed the work-fatigue in the driver of the Intercity in Province bus (AKDP) the scope of this study was all AKDP bus drivers with the origin of Padang City, Bukittinggi City, and Payakumbuh City. Measurement and analysis of work-fatigue were using the reaction timer to light response. The results showed that increasing the number of shifts would increase driver fatigue. 33.33% of drivers run into medium level of fatigue, and 38.89% of drivers run into heavy level of fatigue. The relationship between work-fatigue and the driver\u27s shift correlated very strongly and positively with a correlation value of r = 0.81. The owner of the company needs to take measures to improve management to minimize the level of work on this driver that has the potential to cause traffic accidents

    The contribution of principal leadership style, teachers’ professional competence and school climate on the quality of learning outcomes at Vocational High School in Padang

    Learning outcomes are the results achieved in the form of numbers or scores after being given a test of learning outcomes at the end of each meeting. The quality of learning outcomes itself is influenced by several factors; the principal\u27s leadership style, professional competence and school climate. This research aims to know the contribution of (1) principal’s leadership style, (2) professional competence, and (3) school climate on the quality of learning outcomes at Vocational High School (SMK) in Padang. This research used a quantitative method. The data were collected by using questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using multiple linear regressions using LISREL. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the principal leadership style and the teachers’ professional competence on the quality of learning outcomes at several vocational schools in Padang. There was a positive and significant relationship between the principal leadership style and professional competence through the school climate on the quality of learning outcomes at several vocational schools in Padang

    Validation of media interactive learning in vocational high school

    This research is motivated by the need for the media to learn that promote interaction and understanding of learning. The purpose of this research was: 1) to produce interactive learning media on Basic Graphic Design subjects at vocational high school. 2) Determining the validity of interactive learning media on Basic Graphic Design subjects at vocational high school. The method used is a Research and Development (R & D). The development Model used is 4-D (Four-D). The 4-D consists of four stages, namely discovering, designing, developing and disseminating. The subjects of research conducted were material experts and media experts. The instrument used to measure the form of validity is the questionnaire responses. The validity of interactive learning media is assessed from two aspects namely media feasibility and feasibility aspects of the matter. The results of this research indicate that interactive learning media on Basic Graphic Design subjects is considered valid as seen from the average value of media validation by 0.87 and the average result of 0.85 material validation. Based on the results of the validation of the interactive learning media on Basic Graphic Design subjects are feasible for use in assisting the learning process

    PERBEDAAN KUALITAS RENDANG DAGING DENGAN PENGGUNAAN BUMBU BASAH DAN BUMBU KERING

    Beef rendang is a popular traditional food from West Sumatra which is commonly cooked by using fresh seasoning such as herbs and spices yet not all types of those ingredients are effortlessly available to be found. This issue hinders the local community to cook beef rendang with the original taste of West Sumatra. As a matter of fact, producing dried seasoning to cook rendang could be a possible solution to solve this issue. This study aimed to compare the sensory analysis of beef rendang by using fresh and dried seasoning. This sort of research was a pure experiment with a completely randomized design and 3 repetitions. The ingredients being used are beef, coconut milk, chilies, ginger, galingale, lemongrass, shallots, garlic, lime leaves, bay leaves, turmeric leaves and salt, cooking oil, nutmeg and coriander purchased at traditional markets. The seasoning was sautéed and the coconut milk was poured into the pan, then the beef was added onto the coconut milk with the seasoning until it is half cooked in which the name is Kalio (Like curry, but not become rendang yet), then it was heated up and dried up for hours until the coconut milk dried and turned black which is called rendang. In addition, the data collection technique was carried out by giving a questionnaire to the panelists. The data analysis used was the t-test independent sample t-test using SPSS 15.0 software. The results obtained from the research showed that the average values of the sensory evaluation of the two rendang were almost similar. The average values of beef rendang sensory evaluation using fresh and dried seasoning, respectively, were colour 3.26 and 3.53; aroma 4.0 and 4.13; the texture has the same value, namely 3,4; taste namely 4,6 and 4,46 and the hedonic test 4,33 and 4,20. These results were likely identical as what the statistical test attained (t-test) that there are no significant differences between beef rendang using dried seasoning and fresh seasoning for each sensory testing.Rendang daging merupakan makanan tradisional khas Sumatera Barat. Rendang daging biasanya diolah menggunakan bumbu basah, akan tetapi belum semua jenis bumbu dan rempah yang digunakan untuk membuat bumbu rendang daging mudah didapatkan. Hal ini menjadi kendala bagi masyarakat untuk membuat rendang daging bercitarasa khas Sumatera Barat. Pembuatan bumbu rendang yang kering bisa menjadi solusi untuk memudahkan masyarakat membuat rendang daging. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu membedakan kualitas rendang daging dengan penggunaan bumbu basah dan bumbu kering. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen murni dengan rancangan acak lengkap dan 3 kali pengulangan. Bahan yang digunakan yaitu daging sapi, santan, cabe, jahe, lengkuas, serai, bawang merah, bawang putih, daun jeruk, daun salam, daun kunyit, garam, minyak goreng, pala dan ketumbar yang dibeli di pasar tradisional. Bumbu ditumis, dimasukkan santan, lalu daging dan setelah menjadi kalio diangai sampai menjadi rendang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan angket kepada panelis. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji t independent sample t test menggunakan program SPSS 15.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kualitas kedua rendang hampir sama. Nilai rata-rata kualitas rendang menggunakan bumbu basah dan bumbu kering berturut-turut yaitu warna 3,26 dan 3,53; aroma 4.0 dan 4,13; tekstur mempunyai nilai yang sama yaitu 3,4; rasa yaitu 4,6 dan 4,46 serta uji hedonik 4,33 dan 4,20. Hal ini juga sama dengan hasil uji statistik (uji t) bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antara rendang daging menggunakan bumbu kering dan bumbu basah pada setiap kualitas yang diuji. &nbsp

    The study aims to determine the analysis of factors influencing Turnover Intention employees at Hotel Travelodge Batam.This research is a quantitative descriptive type with a factor analysis method aimed at seeing the factors affecting Turnover Intention in the Hotel Travelodge Batam. The population in this study is all employees amounting to 52 people, the sample in this study is with non-probability sampling technique with a total saturated sample of 52 people. Data analysis techniques using SPSS version 16.00. The results of this study showed a simple linear regression hypothesis test obtained F 5,418 with sig. 0.000 < 0.05, then the variable factors that influence can explain the turnover variable intention employees significantly, with the value of R Square of 0.419. This means that the factors influencing the turnover of intention employees by 41.9% and 58.1% are influenced by other factors. The salary factor has no significant effect on turnover intention. Training factors and work facilities have no significant effect on turnover intention. Leadership factors have no significant effect on turnover intention. The award factor has significant effect on turnover intention. The organizational culture factor has no significant effect on turnover intention. Job satisfaction factor has no significant effect on turnover intention.
