Trends of vocational education and training research in building construction engineering
Research that has been done by building engineering students as a thesis tends to choose a theme that has been widely researched before. This research aims to find out the trends of vocational education research in the field of engineering building including trends of theme research and trends of methodology research. This research used descriptive quantitative research methods with a library research approach. Data collection techniques using documentation. Data analysis techniques are used in content analysis. The results of this study show the trends that have occurred in vocational education research in the field of building engineering in 4 universities, then obtained the trend of vocational education research themes and research methodology trends: 1) The theme of vocational education research in the field of building engineering is in high demand is the theme of teaching and learning with a percentage score of 47%, 2) The research method in demand is Research and Development with a percentage score of 31%, 3) Interesting research subjects are learners with a percentage score of 58%, 4) The data collection technique in demand is a questionnaire with a percentage score of 36%, and 5) The data analysis technique of interest is descriptive statistical analysis with a percentage score of 67%
Evaluation of the dimensions of the tsunami evacuation path for the community of Air Tawar Barat Village, North Padang District, Padang City, Based on Geographic Information System (GIS)
Air Tawar Barat Village is included in the High-Risk Zone (area with a high level of vulnerability to tsunamis) in Padang City, so very severe damage likely occurs in the event of a tsunami. The characteristics of the tsunami in Padang City are local tsunamis or short-range tsunamis, where the time interval for tsunami arrivals is between 20-30 minutes. Based on these conditions, a tsunami evacuation route is urgently needed by the community. The current evacuation route is still ineffective because the distance that must be covered is 3-5 km in less than 30 minutes. This study aims to evaluate the evacuation routes that are less effective by comparing the evacuation routes from the government with the results of GIS analysis. The method used in this research is Network Analyst. The results of this study found that the time needed to evacuate was 10 minutes by going to 26 P-TES. Where 24 P-TES are located on the UNP campus, 1 is in the Air Tawar Timur Village and 1 is a planned P-TES. Aquifer analysis with seismic methods in Parambahan Region
The problem faced by farmers in Parambahan Region during the dry season is agricultural land does not get adequate water supply from existing irrigation channels, as a result, farmers can only carry out agricultural activities during the rainy season in Parambahan Region Lima Kaum Subdistrict, district of Tanah Datar. This study aims to determine the location and depth of soil layers containing groundwater by using the seismic method, measurements are carried out at two points, with the length of the track at the first point being 80 meters, and at the second point 70 meters, each measurement on seismic data collection using 4 geophones as signal capture sensors, with a distance between geophones of 5 meters. The results of this study that the wave velocity at the first data point collection was 169.49 m/s and the lowest was 87.1 m / s, and the wave velocity at the second point was 129.68 m / s and the lowest was 48.07 m / s. from the wave velocity, it can be seen the type and depth of the groundwater layer at the point of data collection on the first pass, which is a depth of up to 27.5 meters of the possibility of soft soil and a depth of about 30 to 40 meters of watery soft soil at that depth may have groundwater, and at that point, the second passage at a depth of up to 25 meters is likely to be soft soil and at a depth of around 25 to 35 meters of watery soft soil at that depth, there is groundwater
Corrosion behavior of super austenitic stainless steel, Duplex 2205 and 316L in sulfamic acid environment
Currently, sulfamic acid as a primary chemical industrial material is ubiquitous. One of its uses is a sweetener. Due to its corrosive nature, it is necessary to use a suitable container to avoid contamination of the solution. Corrosion behavior of super austenitic stainless steel, duplex 2205, and 316L uncovered to sulfamic acid in diverse attention at ambient temperature had been investigated. Concentration Weight loss method, Potentiodynamic Polarization, and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) examined the corrosion rate. The result showed that the corrosion rate of material increased with the increasing concentration of sulfamic acid. Super austenitic stainless steel has higher corrosion resistance than duplex 2205 and 316L
Attendance Management Based on MVC and Laravel in the Municipal Government of Pekanbaru
Currently, the management of employee attendance in the City Government is still done manually, where the leadership does not have any media that can be used to monitor attendance, causing problems including recapitulation and slow employee attendance reporting. The calculation of the percentage (%) of the employee performance allowance (Tukin) is not carried out proportionally according to the attendance discipline. The impact of the current system is undisciplined employee attendance. Attendance management system which aims to manage employee attendance data. Attendance data obtained every morning and evening is stored on a server at the Pekanbaru City Information and Communication Office. This data is then processed to determine the whereabouts of an employee and become a reference for determining the percentage (%) of the performance allowance that will be received. In addition, this attendance management can be used by Regional Leaders and Heads of Services / Institutions to monitor employee attendance quickly and quickly. The research method used for data collection is to use interviews and literature. While the method in software development uses the method of The Rapid Application Development (RAD). Attendance Management is built on the basis of the Laravel framework using the MVC (Model View Controller) method. The MVC programming pattern that separates logic and views makes program code cleaner, easier to trace when troubleshooting or debugging. The Blade feature of laravel makes using html / php templates simple. This application provides online information about employee attendance. Regional Leaders, Heads of Services / Institutions can monitor the condition of employee absenteeism in Pekanbaru City Government online every day. Employee attendance reports for each Department / OPD are generated automatically. Contribution of career counseling, internship experience and advisor toward students work readiness at vocational high school
The problems in this study are 1) The lack of subject relevance at schools with its implementation in the industrial world, 2) DU / DI instructors only guide what needs to be done in the field, without giving direct guidance, 3) Inadequate career guidance received by students at school. Students only get a little information related to the expertise program they choose, 4) The advisor is only limited to monitoring students in the Internship, without providing optimal reinforcement and direction to students. This study aims to: 1) Contribute as career guidance to student work readiness at SMKN 2 Padang, 2) Know the contribution of internship experience with student work readiness at SMKN 2 Padang, 3) Understand the contribution of the mentoring teacher to student work readiness at SMKN 2 Padang, 4) Knowing the contribution of internship career guidance and advisors together with the student work readiness at SMKN 2 Padang. This type of research is quantitative using correlational research methods. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Padang. The population of this study were students of grade 12 at SMKN 2 Padang. The sampling technique was proportional random sampling, with a total sample of 83 students. The data analysis technique used is quantitative data analysis techniques. Based on the research results, it was found that the data were normal, and linear and did not occur in multicollinearity. The results of the research are: 1) There is a contribution of career guidance to student work readiness at SMK N 2 Padang, 2) There is a contribution of internship experience to student work readiness at SMKN 2 Padang, 3) There is a contribution of an advisor to student work readiness at SMK N 2 Padang, 4) Career Guidance Internship Experiences and advisors together provide a positive relationship to student work readiness at SMK N 2 PADANG by 78.0%
The Effect Of Blended Learning Of Student Teams Achievement Division (Stad) And Jigsaw Towards Higher-Order Thinking Skills
Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) are abilities that should be possessed by all vocational high School (VHS) students, because VHS graduates are required to have good soft skills and hard skills. The reality that occurs the ability of HOTS possessed by students is still very low, it is proven based on the exposure of several researchers strengthened by conducting observations and observations in VHS. Therefore the research aims to determine student learning activities when taught using blended learning Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and jigsaw, using direct learning models, and their effects on HOTS. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi experimental nonequivalent control group design method with research subjects of 50 students using simple random sampling. Data collection techniques using the test instrument in the form of multiple choice and description and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. Research data were analyzed by independent sample t-test. The results showed that the use of STAD and jigsaw blended learning in learning made students more active and enthusiastic in participating in learning activities, direct learning models made students less active and lacked enthusiasm in the learning process, and STAD and jigsaw blended learning significantly affected compared to learning models directly to HOTS.Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) are abilities that should be possessed by all vocational high School (VHS) students, because VHS graduates are required to have good soft skills and hard skills. Development of arduino basic learning kit in robotics for beginner level learning
This Basic Arduino Learning Kit in Robotics is developed to help someone who wants to learn the basic concepts of Arduino and its operation in the field of robotics which is becoming increasingly important in our daily lives. In this learning kit, it provides three practical works that allow students to deepen their knowledge of the Arduino Uno microcontroller in robotics step by step. In Practical Work 1, students are exposed to the experiment of lighting three LED lights with pattern of running lights and flashing lights. In Practical Work 2, students are exposed to measurement work using ultrasonic detector and displaying its reading on a computer screen and on the screen of a mobile phone with the Android operating system via a Bluetooth module. In Practical Work 3, students are shown how to build a three -wheeled prototype robot and how to control the robot using a mobile phone with the Android operating system. The effectiveness of this learning kit has been tested in a learning workshop on 21 Pre-Diploma students of the Session of June 2020 Polytechnic of Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin and has shown very encouraging feedback
Career understanding, motivation, and students\u27 decision-making to choose vocational high school (SMK) in non-industrial area
This study aims to measure and describe students\u27 decision-making to choose Vocational High School (SMK) in terms of their career understanding and motivation. The subjects of this study were 135 Year 9 students in five SMK throughout Southwest Aceh Regency. The total sampling method was used to choose the subjects from the entire population. Furthermore, the data were analysed using correlation analysis between variables partially and simultaneously with ANOVA (F test). The results of the partial correlation analysis show that the career understanding variable has a significant influence on students\u27 decision-making to choose SMK with rcount = 0.411 at a significance level of 0.05. In addition, the motivation variable also has a significant influence on decision-making to choose SMK with rcount = 0.375. Simultaneously, career understanding and motivation significantly affect choosing SMK with Fcount = 19.850 and Ftable = 3.06 (Fcount > Ftable). This study results indicate that career understanding variables consist of work planning, work exploration and knowledge of the world of work. In contrast, the motivation variables consist of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, which could be the basis for students\u27 decision makingPenelitian ini berutujuan untuk mengukur dan menjabarkan dasar pengambilan keputusan siswa memilih sekolah lanjut ke SMK ditinjau dari pengaruh pemahaman karir siswa serta motivasi mereka. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX di lima SMK se-kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya menggunakan metode total sampling dari keseluruhan populasi yaitu sebanyak 135 siswa. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis korelasi antar variabel secara parsial dan secara simultan dengan anova (uji F). Hasil analisis korelasi parsial bahwa variabel pemahaman karir memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pengambilan keputusan memilih sekolah lanjut ke SMK dengan r hitung 0,411 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan variabel motivasi juga memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pengambilan keputusan memilih sekolah lanjut ke SMK dengan r hitung 0,375. Secara simultan pemhaman karir dan motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap terhadap pengambilan keputusan memilih sekolah lanjut ke SMK dengan F hitung 19,850 > F Tabel 3.06. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik adalah setiap dimensi yang diukur dari variabel pemahaman karir yaitu perencanaan kerja, eksplorasi kerja dan pengetahuan tentang dunia kerja serta dimensi variabel motivasi yaitu motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik dapat menjadi dasar pengambilan keputusa
Hotel management graduates perception of work conditions and the moderating effect of salary on work motivation in the hotel industry during the Covid-19 pandemic
This study aimed to analyze the hotel management graduates\u27 perception of work conditions and the moderating effect of salary on work motivation in the hotel industry during the COVID- 19 pandemic. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach. The total population was 670 hotel management graduates with the sample\u27s determination based on the type of purposive sampling. The sample size of the study is 20% of the total population (134 graduates) who are estimated to work in the hotel industry. A total of 134 respondents were successfully collected. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that: There is a significant effect of work condition toward hotel management graduates’ work motivation in the hotel industry during the COVID- 19 pandemic and there is a significant moderating effect of salary toward the relationship between work condition and hotel management graduates’ work motivation in the hotel industry during the COVID- 19 pandemic. What could be said from the result of the study is that the impact of work conditions toward work motivation in the hotel industry during the COVID-19 pandemic would be increased with the presence of salary
