IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SOROGAN METHOD IN DEVELOPING THE CHARACTER OF STUDENTS AT THE DARUSSALAM BANGUNSARI PONOROGO ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL
A well-prepared abstract enables the reader to identify the basic content of a document quickly and Character is an aspect of personality that cannot be formed alone. Character itself has an important role in humans, to create a good character an education is needed. Character education can make humans become knowledgeable creatures compared to other creatures. Therefore, character education must be carried out from an early age and every human being produces a diverse character. This study aims to find out more about how an educational method of Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Bangunsari Ponorogo in shaping the character of students. This study uses a qualitative description, namely describing the results of research using words or the presence of a resource person as a source of the results of this study, in presenting the data of this study using observation, interview, and data analysis techniques. The results obtained from this study are the educational methods at the Bangunsari Islamic Boarding School in Ponorogo can form a santru character, namely the character of discipline and responsibility. This research occurs because of an event that occurs in society, namely the younger generation who have bad character or morals in society
Relevance Theory in Literature: Inferential Analysis of Audre Lorde’s Poem ‘From the House of Yemanjá’
In order to perform an inferential analysis using a relevance theory, this study pragmatically analyzes the poetry "From the House of Yemanjá" by Audre Lorde. Audre Lorde’s poetry entitled ‘From the House of Yemanjá’ is the subject of this study. An inferential analysis based on the relevance theory is employed in this study together with a qualitative methodology. The researcher served as the main analytical tool. The analysis's findings demonstrated how Audre Lorde's poetry From the House of Yemanjá used contextual inferences and poetic effects to highlight the physical settings, addressee, and characters. The researcher comes to the conclusion that Lorde created beautiful language by using contextual elements to symbolize the poetry
Revisiting Newmark’s Theory of Translation: To What Extent Is It Appropriate?
In the twentieth century, when the study of cultural anthropology suggested that linguistic barriers were insuperable and that language was entirely the product of culture, the translation must be as literal as possible. This resulted in confusion among translators when translating a text, not until they were illuminated by Peter Newmark’s "Approaches to Translation". Newmark's idea has been widely used in translator training courses and combines a wealth of practical examples of linguistic theories of meaning with practical applications for translation. However, in this twenty-first century where translation becomes more complex (e.g. political agenda), Newmark’s theory seems to have a deficiency as it does not pay attention to the role of the translators. Therefore, the translation theory needs to be broadened to take into account the value-driven of the human yardstick framework. The present paper aims to provide a critical evaluation of Newmark's theory of translation and to suggest a new theory. It is concluded that Newmark's theory lacks some important criteria to really reach appropriate translation in some cases. Finally, the “Appropriateness Theory” proposed by Woesler (2021, 2) comes to perfect the previous theories and to meet the demands of this twenty-first century translation
Upaya Peningkatan Kemampuan Mengenal Konsep Bilangan 1-10 Pada Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun Melalui Permainan Bowling Number Di Pos Paud Dahlia Indah Desa Ginandong
This study aims to improve the ability to recognize numbers in children aged 4-5 years through group A bowling games at the Dahlia Indah Paud Post. This research is classroom action research (classroom actionresseach). The subjects of this study were 1 teacher, 10 children consisting of 5 girls and 5 boys in group A. In collecting the data, researchers carried out documentation and observation techniques. The instruments used are observation sheets, and documentation. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study show that the use of bowling numbers can improve the ability to recognize the concept of numbers in group A children at the Dahlia Indah Paud Post. Research in cycles I, II and III shows that the ability to recognize the concept of numbers in children can be seen from the results of observations. The ability to recognize the concept of pre-action numbers is 40%, with undeveloped criteria. In the first cycle it reaches 45% with the criteria of starting to develop. The second cycle reached 65% with criteria developing as expected and in the third cycle reaching 82% with very well developed criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that the ability to recognize the concept of numbers in group A children at the Dahlia Indah Preschool Post can be improved through bowling number games
LOKAKARYA DAN PENDAMPINGAN SEKOLAH UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN YANG BERPUSAT PADA PESERTA DIDIK DALAM KURIKULUM MERDEKA
Penerapan kurikulum merdeka disekolah sudah mulai diberlakukan dan salah satu yang harus ada yaitu kepastian bahwa praktik pembelajaran harus berpusat pada peserta didik. Hal ini dikarenakan setiap peserta didik harus melakukan kegiatan belajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan tahap perkembangannya. Pelaksanaan lokakarya dan pendampingan sekolah adalah salah satu bentuk kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan dosen sebagai wujud pelaksanaan salah satu Tri Dharma. Kegiatan lokakarya dilaksanakan dengan moda daring sehingga kegiatan lokakarya ini sangat efektif dan mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan. Peserta lokakarya adalah anggota komite pembelajaran dari 6 satuan Pendidikan. Peserta terdiri dari 6 kepala sekolah dan 2 guru kelas dari SD N Banjaranyar 3 Tegal, SD N Buniwah 2 Tegal, SD N Bumijawa 2 Tegal, SD N Kajenengan 2 Tegal, SD N Begawat 1 Tegal dan SD N Cintamanik 2 Tegal
INOVASI PELAYANAN PUBLIK MELALUI UNIT TERPADU PENANGGULANGAN KEMISKINAN (UPT-PK) DI KABUPATEN SRAGEN
The role and duties of the government in providing public services must be able to build patterns and principles of justice. Fair public services are one of the efforts made by the Sragen Regency government to create services that are responsive to all levels of society. Integrated services in poverty alleviation are one of the efforts so that poor people can quickly get public services from the government. The implementation of public administration from a social justice perspective is where administrators, in carrying out their duties, have standards for assessing and testing government decisions. Government policy must ensure community agreement in obtaining legal protection, health protection, education, the economy, and basic community needs that are regulated in a definite, legal manner. Public Services Through the Integrated Poverty Reduction Unit (UPT-PK) in Sragen Regency, is one of the innovations carried out to optimize pro-poor based services in various integrated services for the poor which include Saraswati Card Issuance services, Jamkesda Referral Recommendations, Sintawati Card Issuance, Providing scholarships for poor families with achievements, PPA PKH Recommendations, Recommendations for non-formal education costs, Grief Compensation, Repairing uninhabitable houses, Providing Raskin assistance, Providing assistance with wheelchairs for the disabled, Clinics, Free Ambulance. With the establishment of UPT PK in Sragen Regency, it is hoped that all poor people can be served in various basic services such as education, health, and economic services. This aligns with the public service model with a new public service approach that prioritizes social justice
MANAJEMEN STRATEGIK POSYANDU DALAM UPAYA PENANGGULANGAN STUNTING (STUDI KASUS POSYANDU WIJAYA DAN KEMUNING KELURAHAN PURWANEGARA, KECAMATAN PURWOKERTO UTARA)
This study aims to understand how the strategic management of Posyandu Wijaya and Kemuning in Purwanegara Village, Purwokerto Utara District, Banyumas Regency in efforts to tackle stunting. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. This study uses the theory of SWOT analysis. Based on this theory, it can be found that Posyandu Wijaya and Kemuning have four factors, namely Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat. Posyandu's strength is seen as the closest health service organization to the community, especially toddlers and pregnant women. Weaknesses that exist come from the lack of capacity of cadres, toddlers who are afraid of posyandu, and the lack of knowledge of parents about the importance of posyandu. Opportunity can be seen from the existence of support for posyandu from the sub-district, health center, or other institutions. Meanwhile, threats can be seen from the Covid-19 pandemic which forced the Wijaya and Kemuning Posyandu to stop their activities, the lack of support from some people, and the threat of hoaxes through social media
PARAMETER RUMEN TERHADAP TONGKOL JAGUNG AMOFER MENGGUNAKAN STARTER KOMERSIAL DAN UREA PADA LEVEL YANG BERBEDA SECARA IN VITRO
This research aimed to evaluate the levels of addition of M21 Decomposer (MD) and urea (U) to fermented products (concentrations of VFA and NH3) in the rumen. This research used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment in this research was the addition of MD and U at different levels (R0 = corn cob without amofer / control; R1 = corn cob amofer with 0.04% MD + 3% U; R2 = corn cob amofer with 0.06% MD + 3% U; R3 = corn cob amofer with 0.04% MD + 5% U; and R4 = corn cob amofer with 0.06% MD + 5% U). The results showed that treatment had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the concentration of VFA and NH3. However, the results showed that the NH3 concentration tended to increase along with the increasing addition of urea. The conclusion is that the addition of MD and U at the level used has not been able to increase the concentration of VFA and NH3
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PHONICS METHOD TO ENHANCE THE YOUNG LEARNERS’ ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION
The purpose of this study is to foster pupils' abilities in English pronunciation. Participants in this Classroom Action Research (CAR) were the students of sixth grade in MI Ma'arif NU Sunyalangu consisting of 20 students. Their English pronunciation abilities were still considered low because the pretest average score was only 48.86. The tools used were the test questions and the observation sheet. In order to enhance their English pronunciation skills, the researchers utilized the Phonics method. This method was chosen due to its merits in teaching English pronunciation. Two cycles of study were undertaken. The average score on the posttest for cycle 2 was 85.69, which was higher than the successful criteria of this study (65). In short, the phonics method could help pupils pronounce English more clearly, especially young learners
PENGARUH BUKU ANAK CERITA ISLAMI TERHADAP KECERDASAN SPIRITUAL ANAK USIA USIA 5-6 RA WADAS KELIR PURWOKERTO SELATAN
Spiritual intelligence is the intelligence of each individual related to behavior or attitude actions. Spiritual intelligence must be instilled from an early age. Considering this spiritual intelligence, it is important that there is one medium to hone children's spiritual intelligence, namely with the media of Islamic children's story books, by presenting stories of the prophet, stories of friends, and exemplary values for early childhood. Islamic children's story books have the characteristics of simple language with concepts with 2-4 sentences, attractive illustrations, and easy to reflect. Thus, Islamic children's story books aim to find out the influence of Islamic children's story books on the spiritual intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in Raudhatul Athfal Wadas Kelir Purwokerto Selatan. This type of research uses quantitative data analysis with simple regression, using the SPSS 25 application to draw conclusions. Based on the results of this research, there is a significant influence of Islamic children's story books on the spiritual intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in Raudhatul Athfal Wadas Kelir Purwokerto Selatan. The resulting data obtained a calculated value of 9,450, while t table with N = 20, a significance level of 0.05 is 1,910, meaning tcount > tcount. It can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of the simple linear regression equation, namely Y = 11, 264+ 860 X, are positive. The contribution of Islamic children's story books to the spiritual intelligence of early childhood is 83.2% and 16.8% is influenced by other factors
