Diaspora, Maladjustment, and Hybridity in American and Pakistani Novels: A Comparative Study of Nafisa Haji and Bina Shah
The Pakistani diaspora in the United States confronts a range of challenges arising from the interplay of ethnicity, nationality, and religious identity. Central to these challenges is the task of reconciling deeply held religious beliefs with the prevailing norms and practices of American society. This study investigates the complexities of integrating religious faith into a culturally hybrid identity through the lens of Homi Bhabha’s theory of cultural hybridity. By analysing the novels Writing on the Forehead by Nafisa Haji and Where to Dream in a Blue Moon by Bina Shah, this research explores the dynamics of cultural convergence and its implications for diasporic communities. These works offer insights into how Pakistani immigrants navigate the tension between maintaining religious fidelity and adapting to new cultural contexts. The study reveals that while the process of hybridization presents significant challenges, it also offers opportunities for enriching religious experiences and fostering intercultural dialogue. The findings underscore the importance of understanding the nuanced interplay between traditional religious practices and the evolving cultural landscape of the diaspora. This research contributes to broader discussions on multiculturalism, religious pluralism, and social cohesion, highlighting the role of literature in depicting and addressing these complex issues. Future studies should further explore how hybrid identities develop over time and the impact of generational shifts within diasporic communities on religious and cultural integration
Analisis Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar pada Mata Pelajaran Fikih Di MA Hidayatul Athfal
Mengingat pendidikan sangat penting bagi kelangsungan hidup individu dan masyarakat di masa depan, maka pendidikan harus dilaksanakan secara efektif di setiap daerah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana kurikulum merdeka pada pembelajaran fiqih di MA Hidayatul Athfal dilaksanakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran Fiqih di MA Hidayatul Athfal efektif dan sistematis, terutama kurikulum, metode pengajaran, bahan ajar, bahan kajian, fasilitas yang sesuai, dan sumber belajar yang sesuai menunjukkan ketersediaannya kebutuhan siswa. Terdapat pula kendala dalam pelaksanaannya di MA Hidayatul Athfal. Dua penyebabnya adalah belum tersedianya buku paket fiqih kurang lengkap sebagai sumber belajar di sekolah dan terbatasnya akses guru terhadap bahan referensi pembelajaran mandiri. Oleh karena itu, guru harus mampu memanfaatkan teknologi untuk meningkatkan sumber belajar dan beradaptasi dengan perubahan kurikulum.

Teknologi dan Komunikasi pada saat ini semakin berkembang dengan pesat, begitu pun dalam bidang pendidikan, makin banyak tuntutan dalam pendidikan, maka pendidikan sendiri harus bisa menyesuaikan, di mulai dengan guru yang harus meningkatkan kompetensi di bidang teknologi dan komunikasi.Sehingga dalam pembelajaran Guru dapat membimbing peserta didik menggunakan TIK ketika proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Agar ketika proses pembelajaran berlangsung menjadikan hal yang menarik dan bermakna bagi peserta didik. Maka seorang guru perlu mengetahui bagaimana menerapkan dan memanfaatkan TIK semaksimal mungkin dalam persiapan maupun dalam proses pembelajaran. Melalui Workshop ‘’ Guru SD yang Kreatif dan Inovatif melalui Implementasi TIK’’ Guru diharapkan dapat mengembangkan potensi dan menambah ilmu pengetahuan khususnya di bidang TIK. 
PEMBIASAAN EVALUASI DIRI DALAM MEMBENTUK NILAI RELIGIUS DI TPQ AL JIHAD MUJUR LOR, KROYA
ABSTRACT
Character education in Indonesia starts from an early age by teaching moral values to children in elementary school. The aim of character education is to form strong personalities and good morals in children so that they can face life's challenges well. This is very important considering that Indonesia is a country that has high social and cultural diversity. The habit of self-evaluation in forming religious values at TPQ Al Jihad Mujur Lor, Kroya. This research aims to explore how the habit of self-evaluation can influence the development of religious values in TPQ students. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, questionnaire, as well as analysis of documents related to the TPQ curriculum and learning programs. The research results show that the habit of self-evaluation at TPQ Al Jihad Mujur Lor, Kroya, contributes positively to the formation of students' religious values. Self-evaluation is carried out periodically to monitor students' spiritual and moral progress in understanding and practicing the teachings of the Islamic religion. This evaluation process not only assesses knowledge, but also attitudes and behavior that reflect religious values. This research provides insight into the importance of habitual self-evaluation as an effective religious education strategy, which can be adopted and adapted to other TPQ contexts to improve the quality of religious education in Indonesia.

ABSTRAK
Pendidikan karakter di Indonesia diawali sejak dini melalui menanamkan nilai-nilai moral pada anak-anak di sekolah dasar. Tujuan pendidikan karakter merupakan pebentukan kepribadian yang kuat dan bermoral baik pada anak-anak sehingga dapat menghadapi tantangan hidup dengan baik. Hal ini sangat penting mengingat bahwa Indonesia adalah negara yang memiliki keanekaragaman sosial dan budaya yang tinggi. Pembiasaan evaluasi diri dalam membentuk nilai religius di TPQ Al Jihad Mujur Lor, Kroya. Tujuannya untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pembiasaan evaluasi diri dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan nilai religius pada peserta didik TPQ tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan pengajar dan siswa, angket, serta analisis dokumen terkait kurikulum dan program pembelajaran TPQ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan evaluasi diri di TPQ Al Jihad Mujur Lor, Kroya, berkontribusi positif terhadap pembentukan nilai religius siswa. Evaluasi diri dilakukan secara berkala untuk memantau kemajuan spiritual dan moral peserta didik dalam memahami dan mengamalkan ajaran agama Islam. Proses evaluasi ini tidak hanya menilai pengetahuan, tetapi juga sikap dan perilaku yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya pembiasaan evaluasi diri sebagai strategi pendidikan keagamaan yang efektif, yang dapat diadopsi dan disesuaikan dengan konteks TPQ lainnya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan keagamaan di Indonesia.

THE CHALLENGES FACED BY ENGLISH TEACHERS AT VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS IN KARANGLEWAS IN IMPLEMENTING MERDEKA CURRICULUM AND RELEVANT SOLUTIONS
This research is aimed to find out the English teachers’ challenges in implementing Merdeka Curriculum at vocational high schools and the solutions or ways the teachers addressed those challenges. This research used descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects of this research were two English teachers from two vocational high schools in Karanglewas District. The techniques for collecting the data of this research were interview, observation, and documentation. In analyzing the data, the researcher used three steps called data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results of the study showed that English teachers at Karanglewas Vocational Schools have challenges in implementing Merdeka Curriculum. The challenges were categorized into two, they were internal challenges which originated from the teachers themselves, and external challenges which originated from students, government, and learning or school facilities. The internal challenges were teachers’ ability in using ICT tools, teachers’ capability in determining methods, and adjusting the time allocation and learning activities. While the external challenges were related to practical curriculum given by the government, students’ ability and skills, inadequate learning facilities and resources, and the school proximity to the railways. The results of this study also describe solutions that teachers have taken to overcome these challenges, such as learning by doing, using exciting learning method, motivating students, keeping students focused in learning, conducting listening session with an audio speaker in classroom, and providing e-books as students’ handbook
ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KESUKSESAN PROGRAM TAHFIDZ (Studi Kasus di MA Huffadh Al-Itqoniyyah Bobotsari
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the success of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an program at MA Huffadh Al-Itqoniyyah Bobotsari. The findings indicate three main aspects that play a crucial role in determining the program's success: the commitment of tahfidz teachers, students’ internal motivation, and the curriculum and teaching methods applied. The commitment of tahfidz teachers is a fundamental element in guiding students through exemplary conduct, moral guidance, and spiritual motivation that fosters a strong learning spirit. Meanwhile, students internal motivation serves as a primary driving force in maintaining consistency in memorization, which is further strengthened by a supportive school environment and a harmonious relationship with the teachers. Furthermore, a systematic and adaptive tahfidz curriculum and methods such as Talaqqi, Wahdah, Kitabah, and Sima’i have proven effective in enhancing the memorization process. The synergy among these three aspects forms a solid foundation for creating an optimal and sustainable tahfidz program. These findings are expected to serve as a reference in developing more holistic and contextual tahfidz education strategies in Islamic educational institutions across Indonesia.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan program tahfidz Al-Qur’an di MA Huffadh Al-Itqoniyyah Bobotsari. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga aspek utama yang menjadi penentu keberhasilan program, yaitu komitmen guru tahfidz, motivasi internal siswa, serta kurikulum dan metode pengajaran yang digunakan. Komitmen guru tahfidz menjadi elemen fundamental dalam mendampingi siswa melalui keteladanan, bimbingan moral, serta motivasi spiritual yang membangun semangat belajar. Sementara itu, motivasi internal siswa menjadi penggerak utama dalam menjaga konsistensi hafalan, yang semakin kuat jika didukung lingkungan sekolah yang positif dan relasi yang harmonis dengan guru. Selain itu, kurikulum dan metode tahfidz yang sistematis dan adaptif, seperti Talaqqi, Wahdah, Kitabah, dan Sima’i, terbukti mampu meningkatkan efektivitas proses hafalan. Sinergi antara ketiga aspek tersebut menjadi fondasi utama dalam menciptakan program tahfidz yang optimal dan berkelanjutan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan strategi pendidikan tahfidz yang lebih holistik dan kontekstual di lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia.

Exploring the Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Support in Assisting Students’ English-Speaking Skills
This research explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) support in helping students' English-speaking skills. With the increasing importance of speaking skills in academic, professional and social contexts, this research aims to analyze the role of AI assistance in helping students' English-speaking skills. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with 4 sixth semester student participants from a private university in Purwokerto who often use AI to help their English-speaking skills. Data was collected through semi- structured interviews and analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that AI makes a significant contribution to English language learning through personalization of learning, automatic evaluation. However, there are challenges in using AI such as lack of human interaction, limited features and AI not being able to understand complex situations. This research provides insight into the benefits and challenges of using AI in language learning, as well as its implications for the development of students' English-speaking skills
Relevansi Wajib Belajar 12 Tahun Dengan Kewajiban Belajar Dalam Perspektif Tafsir Dan Hadis Tarbawi
Abstract; This article aims to analyze the relevance of the government's compulsory education program with the obligation to study from the perspective of tarbawi interpretation and hadith. This research uses a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through documentation methods with content analysis techniques to systematically analyze the content of messages and reveal the symbolic meaning implied in primary sources. The research results show that there is a strong relevance between the concept of twelve years of compulsory education in the government program and the obligation to study from the perspective of tarbawi interpretation and hadith. The views of tarbawi interpretations and hadith regarding the concept of the obligation to study in Islam cover all aspects of life with the principle that education is holistic and carried out throughout life; long life education, starting from life in the womb until the end of life; min al-mahdi ila al-lahdi. The dimensions of education include education for happiness in life in the world to safety in the afterlife. Learning and the educational process is a system that must be implemented and must be followed individually and collectively with the aim of strengthening faith and piety. The relevance of the government's twelve-year compulsory education program with the obligation to study in the perspective of tarbawi interpretation and hadith that learning is a basic human need. Substantially, education is a basic need and specifically can only be provided for humans. Learning as a means to improve the quality of life, learning leads to the formation of the whole person and as a strategic vehicle for developing individual potential that is comprehensive and balanced between the inner and outer. Learning as a step to happiness, Islam views one way to obtain world prosperity and happiness in the afterlife through learning and the educational process. Through the learning process of worldly orientation, humans will be guided and directed and spiritualized into a worldly orientation
Analisis Kemampuan Pelafalan Kosa Kata Bahasa Arab pada Siswa Kelas VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Inayah
Language is very important for us to learn, as is how to pronounce it. In every language there are certain rules and patterns in pronunciation that must be followed in order to be understood well, this is the same with Arabic. Therefore, this research aims to determine the pronunciation ability of Arabic vocabulary in class VIII MTS Al Inayah students. This research was conducted at MTS Al Inayah Bandung City (Cijerokaso Street No.63 RT 07/RW 01, Sarijadi, Sukasari District, Bandung City, West Java), specifically class VIII. The research method we use is a qualitative method. Namely by collecting data directly using an interview system in the form of a one-by-one oral test, to see how fluent the student's ability to pronounce Arabic vocabulary is. This research reveals that the majority of students show great ability in pronunciation of Arabic vocabulary, variations in this ability can be related to the background of previous experience, the intensity of learning Arabic, and the level of student dedication to the lesson material. The analysis shows that students who are consistently involved in pronunciation practice have a better tendency to master Arabic pronunciation skill
Pengaruh Sonic Bloom Menggunakan Murottal Al-Qur’an dan Musik Klasik terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Bayam Hijau (Amaranthus tricolor) dengan Hidroponik Sistem Sumbu (WICK)
Bayam hijau (Amaranthus tricolor) merupakan bahan pangan yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat dimana kaya akan sumber protein, kalsium, fosfor, dan besi, vitamin A dan C serta sedikit vitamin B. Perkembangan ilmu teknologi membuat banyak terobosan baru demi meningkatkan produksi sayuran, diantaranya adalah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sonic bloom. Sonic bloom merupakan teknologi yang memanfaatkan gelombang suara ramah lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mengetahui pengaruh sonic bloom menggunakan murottal Al-Quran terhadap pertumbuhan benih tanaman bayam hijau yang dibudidayakan dengan hidroponik sistem sumbu. (2) Mengetahui seberapa besar signifikansi sonic bloom dengan menggunakan murottal Al-Qur’an dan musik klasik terhadap pertumbuhan benih tanaman bayam hijau yang ditanam dengan hidroponik sistem sumbu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan terhadap benih tanaman bayam yaitu (A) tidak diberi musik, (B) diberi suara musik klasik dan (C) diberi suara murottal Al-Quran. Suara yang diberikan memiliki taraf intensitas bunyi sebesar 65,8-73,9 dB. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 26 hari pada bulan Desember 2021 di Desa Karangsalam Kidul, Kecamatan Kedungbanteng, Kabupaten Banyumas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan tanaman bayam hijau yang diberi paparan suara musik klasik lebih baik dibandingkan dengan tanaman yang tidak diberi musik dan yang diberi paparan murottal Al-Qur’an. Uji ANOVA menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pertumbuhan tanaman bayam hijau berdasarkan perlakuan tanpa musik, diberi paparan musik klasik dan murottal Al-Qur’an
