    Exploring ChatGPT to Assist English Language Learners’ Learning Process

    The current study investigates the utilization of ChatGPT to assist students in their language learning process through a descriptive qualitative study. Research data was collected via semi-structured interviews using purposive sampling, targeting five English language education students at a private faith-based university in Purwokerto. The findings indicate that students understand the use of ChatGPT and can effectively use prompts to interact with it. The study also indicates that participants generally use ChatGPT to assist with completing assignments, language learning, and writing their final projects. Participants commonly found that ChatGPT provided inaccurate information and lacked contextual understanding. To address these challenges, they cross-referenced information from ChatGPT with their own knowledge and reliable sources. The study also identified potential challenges such as plagiarism, using ChatGPT for cheating, and dependency on ChatGPT to complete assignments. This study supports the notion that ChatGPT can facilitate and support the language learning process for students

    This study examines the effectiveness of various inquiry-based learning approaches in improving student achievement and forming positive attitudes towards learning in various educational contexts. Through careful investigation and analysis, we have demonstrated the significant impact of inquiry-based learning methods on students' academic performance, especially in subjects such as mathematics, biology, and academic writing. Our findings emphasize the importance of integrating innovative pedagogical approaches, such as inquiry-based learning, into educational practice to promote deeper understanding, critical thinking, and student engagement. However, it is important to acknowledge the limitations of this study. One limitation is the relatively small sample size and the specific context in which the study is conducted, which can limit the generalisability of the findings. In addition, the study is primarily focused on quantitative analysis, and future research could benefit from incorporating qualitative methods to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of inquiry-based learning. We recommend further research to explore the long-term effects of inquiry-based learning on students' academic performance and their overall learning experience. Additionally, researching the effectiveness of inquiry-based learning across different subject areas and grade levels can provide valuable insights into its applicability and potential challenges. Furthermore, examining the role of teacher training and professional development in implementing inquiry-based learning strategies is essential to ensure successful implementation and sustainable impact. In summary, the study contributes to the growing literature on inquiry-based learning and highlights its potential to improve student outcomes and transform educational practices. By addressing the identified limitations and pursuing future research directions, we can continue to improve our understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies and ultimately improve the quality of education and student success

    The purpose of this study is to find out what the resonance of Arabic language learning is like after the existence of native Arabic speakers for students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Nahdlatul Ulama University, Purwokerto. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The results of the study show that resonance in learning influences or motivates students of the Arabic Language Study Program UNU Purwokerto to practice Arabic because of the presence of native speakers directly from Arab countries and student’s preseption about native speaker. Based on the data above, it is known that the role of native speakers in learning Arabic for students at Nahdlatul Ulama University, Purwokerto has the following advantages: 1) Helping students understand the cultural side of Arabic language users, 2) Students can learn directly with native speakers who master the Arabic language and dialect.     This study aims to develop an educational game tool, the alphabet box, to help Group B children at TK Al Pikri Bojongmangu recognize letters. Early childhood has unique characteristics and requires positive stimulation for the development of various aspects, including language development. Language development in children is very important as it is a tool for thinking, self-expression, and communication. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The development process of this game tool involves several stages, starting from needs analysis, design, prototyping, to testing and evaluation. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires given to teachers and children at TK Al Pikri Bojongmangu. The results of the study show that the alphabet box is effective in improving children's ability to recognize letters. Children become more interested and motivated to learn letters through this game. Teachers also responded positively to the use of this tool in the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that the alphabet box can be an effective and enjoyable tool for letter recognition for early childhood. The use of educational game tools like this can optimally support children's language development

    PENGARUH MEDIA LOOSE PART TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR ANAK USIA DINI

    This study aims to analyze the influence of loose part media on the learning interest of Group B children at TK Nasional Plus Tunas Global. Learning interest is a crucial factor in the success of early childhood education, and engaging learning media can enhance children's motivation to learn. Loose part media, consisting of manipulable materials, provides children with opportunities to explore and create. The research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample involves two groups of children, with one group receiving the loose part media intervention and the other serving as a control. Observation instruments are used to measure learning interest indicators such as curiosity, interest, attention, involvement, and persistence. The results indicate that the use of loose part media has a significant positive effect on children's learning interest. Children who engaged with loose part media showed higher increases in learning interest compared to the control group. These findings affirm the importance of innovative and interactive teaching approaches in early childhood education.The study provides practical implications for educators and parents in selecting and using appropriate learning media to support optimal growth and development in young children. It also offers a foundation for further research on the impact of loose part media on other aspects of child developmen

    The implementation of holistic early childhood development integration in PAUD units can also inhibit the increase in stunting rates that are so high, especially in villages that have programs to accelerate the reduction of stunting. In addition to optimizing early childhood nutrition, the village government also optimizes one village to have one PAUD teacher who is trained to increase his competence and quality of the program to accelerate the decline in stunting prevention and subscriptions. Parental education and knowledge is the main priority, which is a habit in the community when providing care and providing nutritional intake for early childhood growth and development in the home.     Gerakan literasi dini merupakan fondasi penting bagi perkembangan bahasa dan kognitif anak usia dini. Namun, sebagian besar guru di lembaga pendidikan anak masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam mengelola kegiatan literasi secara kreatif dan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan guru Raudlatul Athfal (RA) Wadas Kelir Purwokerto sebagai relawan pustaka yang mampu menumbuhkan budaya literasi di lingkungan sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan, pendampingan, dan praktik langsung pengelolaan sudut baca serta kegiatan membaca berbasis cerita rakyat lokal. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan guru mengenai konsep literasi dini sebesar 85%, keterampilan mendongeng meningkat 78%, dan partisipasi anak dalam kegiatan membaca meningkat signifikan. Program ini berdampak pada terciptanya ekosistem literasi yang berpusat pada guru dan anak, sekaligus memperkuat peran RA sebagai ruang tumbuhnya budaya baca sejak usia dini

    Pelaksanaan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya yang bermitra dengan Pengelola Bank Sampah Induk Tasikmalaya merupakan salah satu program wujud pengabdian mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya, Tim KKN 15 kepada masyarakat desa Cigadog dengan salah satu program kegiatan sosialisasi Bank Sampah, hal ini didasari oleh sampah yang telah menjadi permasalahan masyarkat sekitar sehingga pengelolaannya perlu dilakukan secara komprehensif dan terpadu dari hulu ke hilir agar memberikan manfaat secara ekonomi, kesehatan dan aman bagi lingkungan, serta dapat mengubah perilaku masyarakat. Hasil observasi lapangan Tim KKN 15 mulai melakukan sosialisasi pemberdayaan Bank SADEGA (Bank Sampah desa Cigadog) yang ditujukan bagi seluruh masyarakat desa sebagai wadah penampung sampah sehingga dapat lebih teroganisir dalam pemilahan sampah. Pengelolaan limbah sampah yang dihasilkan dari  Bank Sampah Induk  juga turut dipergunakan untuk penggunaan pembuatan ikon desa Cigadog dengan penggunaan botol ecobrick yang ditempatkan di depan kampung KB. Kegiatan sosialisasi pemberdayaan bank sampah ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pengelolaan sampah dan kesadaran membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Program bank sampah  yang  telah dilaksanakan berdampak pada sosial dan lingkungan masyarakat desa Cigadog seperti perubahan perilaku masyarakat yang mulai sadar akan pengelolaan sampah dan perubahan pada lingkungan yang menjadi asri dan nyaman

    Cases of violence against children are one of the highlights in the world of education in Indonesia, the rise of cases of violence against children raises various problems. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze how to prevent bullying in early childhood on the basis of strengthening religious and moral values in children. This research was conducted at the RA of the Wadas Kelir Creative House. This type of research is a field research using a qualitative approach. Data collection is carried out by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, verification and conclusion drawn. The results of this study show that the things done by teachers to prevent bullying in early childhood by strengthening religious and moral values are through worship activities (memorizing asmaul husn and reading Islamic stories), habituation (respecting each other, telling the truth, helping, and respecting each other), and role models (Do not speak harshly, do not compare, be fair, and do not use punches to punish). The impact of the activities carried out on the child's attitude is an attitude of mutual respect, high empathy, and self-confidence
