Digitalisasi UMKM melalui Pendampingan Pembuatan NIB, QRIS, dan Google Maps di Desa Sumberdadap Kabupaten Tulungagung

    Get PDF
Most UMKM owners in Desa Sumberdadap lack of awareness and capacity for business digitalization. This gap results in limited market reach, low business professionalism, and restricted access to supportive facilities from the government and financial department. Therefore, assistance with the creation of NIB, QRIS, and google maps profiles is crucial as a form of business digitalization to support UMKM development. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method was employed as a framework to analyze the potential resources within Desa Sumberdadap. The results of the assistance show that most UMKM owners understood the benefits of business legality through NIB and were willing to register their businesses. They also experienced the convenience and security of transactions via QRIS and recognized the effectiveness of Google Maps as a free marketing tool to promote their businesses both locally and beyond. The high level of community enthusiasm for this activity indicates a significant potential for the people of Desa Sumberdadap, especially UMKM owners, to become digitally literate. It is hoped that these efforts will enable their businesses to expand more widely, even to the international market

Optimalisasi Potensi Lokal melalui Pembuatan Setting Spray Anti Nyamuk Herbal

    Get PDF
TIDES of Change: Igniting Productivity Growth in Europe and Central Asia

    No full text
Europe and Central Asia (ECA) is at a turning point. After a period of convergence and reform-driven growth during the first decade of the 2000s, the region’s productivity engine has lost momentum. Total factor productivity growth has halved since the global financial crisis, and the gains from capital deepening and labor expansion are no longer sufficient to sustain economic growth. If pre- 2008 trends in productivity growth had continued, average incomes would be around 60 percent higher today. Instead, misallocated resources, incomplete integration into global markets, and weak firm capabilities during a period of stalled reforms have left the region below its potential. This report lays out a new agenda for boosting productivity. Drawing on unique firm-level data from across the region, it shows how deeper trade integration, smarter investment, and adoption of technology, coupled with improved firm capabilities and investments in workers’ skills, can unlock significant productivity gains. The report highlights the need to face the challenges of the unrealized potential of exports and foreign direct investment, insufficient level of digital technology adoption, and limited investment in skills training (offered by only one in five firms in ECA today), coupled with weak foundational skills. The evidence is clear: Addressing these challenges through targeted reforms in improving market functioning, technology adoption, export promotion, and skills development is crucial for unlocking the region’s productivity potential. The path forward is captured by the policy framework of trade, investment, digitalization, efficiency, and skills (TIDES)—the levers that can help boost the region’s productivity. This flagship report is not just a diagnosis of what went wrong; it is a call to action for what must come next. Focusing on TIDES, with the right policies and political will, ECA can reclaim its momentum and deliver a new era of shared prosperity

Exploring Feedstock Opportunities to Advance Domestic Circularity in Malaysia’s Plastic Recycling

    No full text
Malaysia's plastic recycling sector has historically relied on imported plastic waste. Imported plastic provides some certainty and scale for feedstocks that are ready and suitable for recycling, making up for Malaysia's low domestic plastic waste collection. To foster a more sustainable future, the country aims to reduce its dependency on imports by prioritizing the development and enhancement of domestic waste management systems, ultimately striving for a circular economy. This report is the second in the Malaysian Plastic Circularity Series, a market assessment conducted in 2023-2024 with the objective of providing comprehensive insights into Malaysia's plastic recycling economy. It covers topics along the value chain, including feedstock collection, infrastructure, policies, and initiatives to address plastic waste challenges, with an in-depth analysis of the electrical and electronics (E&E), automotive, construction, and healthcare sectors

Turning Things Around After a Lost Decade

Zambia is simultaneously amongst the poorest and the most unequal countries in the world. In 2022, 64.3 percent of the population - about 12.6 million individuals - was living on less than US$2.15 a day. This level is not only the 6th highest in the world but it is also misaligned with the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita level. In four of the five poorer countries, GDP per capita is between one-quarter and one-half of Zambia’s GDP per capita. The remaining country is South Sudan, which is immersed in a protracted fragility and conflict situation. At the same time, consumption inequality is high, even when compared with the sub-group of highly unequal resource-rich countries. In 2022, the Gini index stood at 51.5 - significantly above the World Bank’s newly adopted high-inequality threshold of 40. This places Zambia as the country with the 4th highest inequality in the region and the 6th highest globally. Resource-rich countries with similar or higher inequality have substantially lower poverty levels

    E-mobility Transition in Viet Nam

    No full text
Viet Nam’s real GDP growth reached 7.1 percent in 2024, driven by a strong rebound in exports, outpacing most regional peers. External demand strongly rebounded in 2024 after a contraction in 2023. Final consumption and investment growth also accelerated in 2024 reaching 6.6 and 7.2 percent, respectively, supporting the growth momentum. However, private consumption remained a moderate driver of aggregate demand relative to the region (54 percent of GDP compared to a median of 61.7 percent, respectively) as household savings increased amid heightened uncertainty in recent years. Viet Nam’s GDP growth is forecast to moderate to 6.8 percent in 2025 before settling at 6.5 percent in 2026. The rebound in exports in 2024 is expected to ease in 2025 and further into 2026 due to projected economic slowdown in China and the United States in the near-team - Viet Nam’s largest trade partners – and uncertain global trade prospects from shifts in trade policy. Domestic activities and services are expected to continue to firm up in 2025 and into 2026 as the real estate market recovery gathers steam. The outlook for Viet Nam remains positive but with heightened uncertainties. Given Viet Nam’s openness to the global economy, the main uncertainty stems from slower-than-expected global growth and trade disruptions, particularly among major trading partners such as the United States, European Union, and China. Such developments, including heightened uncertainties from trade policy shifts and deepening trade fragmentation, could impact Viet Nam’s manufacturing exports, industrial production, and growth. On the other hand, increased public investment could further support demand and contribute to growth. An accelerated recovery in the real estate market thanks to faster project clearance could further boost domestic demand. The special focus of this edition focuses on preparing e-mobility transition in the transport sector. This analysis examines the critical steps required to decarbonize road transportation in Vietnam by using electric vehicles and rolling out a network of public charging stations. It explores the implications of this transition on electricity demand, greenhouse gas emissions, and job creation. The report presents a set of recommendations to achieve the Government’s ambitious target of having 50 percent of urban vehicles and 100 percent of urban buses and taxis powered by electricity or green energy by 2030, and subsequently reaching 100 percent for all road vehicles by 2050

    Letter of Authorization and Acknowledgement

    No full text
This Letter of Authorization provides a common template to be used with schedules that may be specified by each Member Country. This template is intended to simplify the process for authorization, reduce transaction costs, and allow flexibility for bilateral arrangements. It is intended to be used for all authorizations to be granted under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement (6.2 and 6.4). It includes an illustrative schedule of terms that is most likely to maximize investment and value for the Member Country. The Guidance document allows each Member Country to actively choose whether the project is intended to be authorized (subject to corresponding adjustments and a Letter of Authorization) or outside the scope of authorization (ideally subject to a Letter of Acknowledgement in order to increase certainty and corresponding investment value). This version incorporates changes related to decisions made at COP29
