Technological developments have pushed banking into the digital era, enabling financial institutions to provide more effective and quality services to customers. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use, benefits, security, and social influence on the interest in using BSI m-banking. This study uses primary data from 110 BSI customer respondents in Samarinda measured using a liket scale. The type of research used is a quantitative research model. The data analysis method uses a multiple linear regression analysis model. The results show that benefits have a significant influence on the interest in using BSI m-banking, with a calculated t value (2.621) greater than the t table (1.982) and a significance value of 0.10 < 0.05. Conversely, perceived ease of use, security, and social influence do not have a significant influence. This is evident from the calculated t value of each variable which is smaller than the t table (1.982) and a significance value greater than 0.05. Simultaneously, the F-test results show that the four variables, namely perceived ease, benefits, security, and social influence, together have a significant influence on the interest in using BSI m-banking. The calculated F-value (16.913) is much greater than the F-table (2.46). Based on the R2 test, the contribution of these four variables to the interest in using BSI m-banking (BYOND) among Generation Z customers in Samarinda City is 39.2%. The remaining 60.8% is explained by other variables outside the research model
In the Sahel, Adaptive Social Protection (ASP) is a set of social protection policies, systems, and programs that promote human capital, productivity, and resilience of the poorest and strengthen their capacity to prepare for, cope with, and adapt to shocks. Through the delivery of regular social safety nets, productive inclusion interventions, and shock-responsive programs, ASP has demonstrated strong positive impacts on various dimensions in the Sahel. For the poorest and most vulnerable, it has resulted in improvements in household welfare and food security, productivity, and resilience. More broadly, it has shown significant positive impacts on the economy, society, and future generations.
Management of Earthquake Risk in the European Union
Several countries in the European Union (EU) face significant earthquake risk, primarily due to seismic hazard levels and aging infrastructure. Unlike many other natural hazards, earthquakes occur without warning, limiting the ability to evacuate people and protect lives. At the same time, decades can pass between large earthquakes, leading to a decline in public awareness and policy attention to the risk. When large earthquakes do occur, they can cause significant damage and loss, often requiring several decades for the affected areas to recover. Between 2000 and 2020, earthquakes caused more than Euro 60 billion in direct damage to EU Member States, confirming their status as one of the costliest natural hazards in the region. All these factors make long-term planning, risk reduction, prevention, and preparedness efforts essential to reducing the impacts of earthquakes. This report summarizes the results of a rapid review of earthquake risk and risk management capacity in the EU, highlighting potential risk management priorities to inform policy dialogue and future research. The review considers capacity across multiple dimensions, including governance, understanding of earthquake risk, risk reduction and mitigation, early warning and public awareness, preparedness and emergency response, recovery and post-disaster financing, and cross-cutting topics such as social resilience and the role of the private sector. Each chapter reviews the current arrangements, key challenges, and opportunities across the EU for each of these dimensions, drawing on available information. This review aims to provide an EU-wide perspective on earthquake risk management, using EU Member States as examples but not providing an in-depth analysis of each EU Member State
Europe and Central Asia Economic Update, Fall 2025: Jobs and Prosperity
Economic growth in Europe and Central Asia eased to 2.4 percent in 2025, reflecting a sharp slowdown in the Russian Federation. Outside Russia, growth momentum remains broadly resilient, supported by private consumption, infrastructure spending, and a gradual recovery in trade. While a modest pickup is expected in 2026–27, growth is likely to remain well below the 2000–19 average. In this slow-growth environment, downside risks dominate, with the potential for setbacks in reforms posing a significant threat to investor confidence, private sector dynamism, and job creation.
The region's labor market shows signs of resilience but faces deep-rooted structural challenges. Since the start of transition from planned to market in the early 1990s, employment has grown faster than the region's population, driven by rising labor force participation and a shift out of agriculture. Yet most new jobs are in low-productivity services, and productivity growth has stalled. Demographic pressures — aging, shrinking workforces, and emigration —add to the strain. Structural bottlenecks, including weak competition, limited access to finance, and outdated skills systems, constrain firm growth and innovation. The report calls for a three-pillar reform agenda: invest in foundational infrastructure for jobs, strengthen the business environment, and mobilize private capital. Targeting five priority sectors—manufacturing, agribusiness, tourism, healthcare, and energy—can help turn growth into better jobs and shared prosperity

Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) Simulation through Empirical Approach for Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) Projects
DNI assessment is essential for developing any CSP projects. In this manuscript, an approach is made for the analysis and estimation of DNI by developing the empirical models for India. The historical data of around 15 years (1986-2000) of DNI and cloud cover (CC) from six representative locations of major climatic zones namely Bhopal, Jaipur, Srinagar, Patna, New Delhi & Thiruvanantpuram have been employed. From these locations, first four have been used to develop the models correlating DNI and cloud cover; however, rest two were used to evaluate their validity. The standard statistical predictor’s viz. CoD, MPE, MBE, RMSE, skewness, kurtosis & chi-square were applied to evaluate these empirical models. The CoD was observed greater than 0.8 while performance criteria have low and acceptable values (MPE-11.4% to -13.77%; MBE 0.49 to 0.96; RMSE 1.22 to 1.44; Skewness 0.90 to -0.15; Kurtosis 0.90 to -1.36 and Chi-square 6.87 to 8.50). The adequecy of empirical models was evaluated through comparing estimated and measured DNI for New Delhi and Thiruvanantpuram which coincides very closely. The study established an approach to estimate DNI using cloud cover data which may facilities CSP projects developers for site selection and decision making in the absence of ground data
