Pemberdayaan unit Center of Excellence Fakultas Farmasi UNHAS melalui produksi produk inovatif minuman instan Ginger Creamy Plus
One of the key performance indicators (KPI/IKU) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science and Technology is IKU 5: community recognition of lecturers' research outcomes. The PPUPIK-UNHAS community service program aimed to promote lecturers' innovative products for broader public recognition. In this community service initiative, we introduced an instant ginger-based beverage (Zingiber officinale), developed by modifying the traditional Sarabba drink with bee pollen. Ginger is well known for its health benefits, including antioxidant properties, improved digestion, pain and inflammation relief, enhanced immunity, and preventing nausea and vomiting. Including bee pollen—rich in amino acids, flavonoids, B vitamins, and minerals—further enhances the drink's functional health effects. The resulting product, Ginger Creamy Plus, was formulated as an instant drink, with each sachet containing 1.2 g of ginger and 0.3 g of bee pollen. This innovation has been registered with HAKI under the simple patent category and has received a P-IRT business permit. It is expected to be commercialized on an industrial scale in collaboration with UNHAS business units and registered with the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency
Pendampingan kader kesehatan remaja dengan modul dalam peningkatan perilaku kesehatan reproduksi remaja
Adolescents go through a phase of self-discovery, which sparks a strong sense of curiosity, a desire to stand out, and the need to be acknowledged for their presence. However, at the same time, they face emotional instability, making them more susceptible to peer influence and prone to prioritizing group conformity. One of the problems that is very prone to occur in adolescence is reproductive health problems such as sexuality or free sex, HIV/AIDS and drugs, if you are constantly tempted and in a very free condition, of course one day you will also be tempted to do it. The purpose of the service is to carry out cadre assistance using a module on reproductive health. This service activity is a continuation of the previous activity that formed adolescent health cadres, so that they are more optimally equipped and assisted by using modules to further improve their reproductive health behavior. The method used is to provide assistance as a form of empowerment for youth cadres who have been formed. The target number is 30 students as adolescent health cadres who have been selected. Assistance is carried out by coaching activities carried out through communication, information, and education, community empowerment, technical guidance, and supervision

Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pencegahan penyakit tidak menular dan kekurangan energi kronis pada ibu melalui Posbindu
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) can hinder the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Posbindu involves the community's participation in conducting early detection activities and monitoring of NCD risk factors, carried out in an integrated, routine, and periodic manner. Integrated NCD risk factors (heart and vascular disease, diabetes, acute obstructive pulmonary disease, and cancer) as well as disorders due to accidents and acts of domestic violence are managed by the community through integrated guidance. These activities combine Posbindu activities to prevent NCDs, anemia, and Chronic Energy Deficiency (CHD) in women in accordance with the direction of Indonesia's Health Transformation. CHD is a condition in which a person's nutritional status is poor and they experience chronic malnutrition that causes health problems. Pregnant women with CHD are at risk of stunting babies. The aim is to empower the community through Posbindu and prevent NCDs, anemia, and CHD. Capillary blood tests using strips revealed that 16.7% of the participants suffered from anemia, 20% had high blood sugar, 23.3% had high cholesterol, and 36.6% had high uric acid levels. At the same time, upper arm circumference measurements revealed that 6.7% had CHD, and blood pressure measurements showed that 40% had hypertension, as a recommendation to integrate anemia and CHD screening into Posbindu activities
