It can be concluded that TNI institutions can be used as material for consideration in authority to deal with acts of terrorism
The Medical Committee's Implementation of Hospital Internal Regulations to Improve Hospital’s Clinical Governance
The hospital is a complex organization that regulates many things and has a high risk. Thus it requires rules that become the basis and guidelines for running medical services. The regulation is Hospital by Laws, an internal hospital regulation that includes internal corporate regulations and internal regulations for medical staff, which are compiled based on the conditions and needs of the hospital. Hospital by Law is an important legal instrument to improve good clinical governance carried out by the medical committee. However, there are obstacles to its implementation, especially in applying Hospital by Laws in several hospitals. This study aims to determine the application of Hospital Laws and the role of the medical committee in improving good clinical governance. This research was conducted using an empirical approach by discussing legal symptoms' social aspects. The analytical method is a qualitative analysis by analyzing data collected from interviews with several respondents and secondary data in legal literature. The results showed that Hospital by Laws in the three (3) hospitals studied had not been implemented optimally. It is indicated by the low level of understanding of the hospital stakeholders about Hospital Laws. In addition, it was found that to improve good clinical governance, the medical committee has not been able to carry out its role optimally
Role of Women in Good Governance
The purpose of this study is to describe and analyse the significance of gender mainstreaming in good governance for the overall growth of the nation, with a particular emphasis on how gender engagement in decision making through consensus building and representation directly leads to women's empowerment. Qualitative study employed descriptive and analytic methods to achieve a conclusion by extensively utilising a thematic analytical tool. The concept of "good" governance requires making normative decisions about what constitutes the legal appropriation and efficient exercise of authority. Some organizations that offer outside assistance and social activists view good governance as implying democratic governance, which implies a focus on participation, human rights, and social justice. Good governance is more about the state's effectiveness than the justice of the economic system or the legitimacy of the political system. Decision-makers ability to act to improve the suffering of disadvantaged women or address the problem of gender inequality depends on how policies are implemented in practice. The process has only just begun with the signing of international agreements and the enactment of laws addressing issues like women's rights, equal access to education, marital rape, and credit and property ownership. The concept of "governance" clarifies the link between political commitment and a programme's successful and efficient implementation. Reform efforts for governance systems have received much attention recently. They are still receiving attention now on a national and international level
Study on The Design of Solar-Wind Energy System to Reduce The Use of Gas Fuel in The Southeast Sumatra Block
The Southeast Sumatra block produces oil and gas. Natural gas production of 15,300 MSCF is used as fuel for turbine generators to generate 38 MW of electrical energy, while the rest is used as business products. The application of the solar-wind system can reduce the load on the turbine generator so that gas fuel consumption is also reduced. Five platforms have areas that can be utilized for a solar-wind system. This study aims to determine the amount of gas fuel consumption that can be reduced by the solar-wind system application. The method is simulation using the HOMER software to determine the amount of electrical energy that can be supplied and the costs required by the solar-wind system. The components used are found in the HOMER software and on the market. The simulation results show that the off-grid solar-wind system can provide electricity supply of 50,235 kWh per year and reduce gas fuel consumption by 20,094 MSCF per year. The on-grid solar-wind system can provide electricity supply of up to 81,230 kWh per year and reducing the use of gas fuel by 32,492 MSCF per year. The off-grid solar-wind system will increase gas sales by 132,620 per year with NPV>0 and ROI 21%, while the on-grid system will increase gas sales by 214,447 per year with NPV>0 and ROI 57%. Both models of solar-wind systems have positive economic values ??so that they are feasible to implemen
Tax Law Certainty on The Sale of Food and Beverages after The Enactment of Law Number 1 of 2022
Taxes on Certain Goods and Services (TCGS) is a concept of integrating consumption-based taxes contained in Law Number 1 of 2022 concerning Financial Relations between the Central Government and Regional Governments. The provisions for tax collection in this new law also change local taxation policies, particularly on tax collection on the sale of food and beverages. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the arrangement for collecting TCGS for the sale of food and/or beverages based on the principle of legal certainty and reviewing the implications of the concept of collecting TCGS on the sale of food and/or beverages in terms of local tax intensification efforts. This study uses a normative juridical method using secondary data sources. The data that has been obtained is then described descriptively with qualitative analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that the concept of collecting PBJT for food and beverage sales is in accordance with the principle of legal certainty because it limits the authority to collect VAT by the Central Government and TCGS by the Regional Government for business actors engaged in the culinary industry. To make efforts to optimize regional revenues after the enactment of Law No. 1 of 2022 is to intensify taxes by expanding the revenue base, optimizing the collection process, and increasing supervision
